Good afternoon Mamas, pls i need someone to share the link to the new born thread. I recently saw it but can't seem to find it again. Thanks in advance |
ladyP30:I don't know the composition of pregnacare but i took folic acid for the first 12 or 13weeks after which i stopped. Then i started calcium, iron and vit d through out till delivery, all according to doctor's prescription. I was not that faithful with vit c because of how it made me feel. I will advice you follow your doctor's instruction esp if he knows your medical history well. |
Nnetriplet:I'm speechless!!! Congrats Mama. God bless your baby. Testimonies will not cease in your life and family in Jesus Name. |
@mandysmum, a big congratulations to you. May God bless and keep your princess. Her life will continue to be a testimony to you and your family. Whether or not your inlaws received a prophecy on your behalf, i want you to know that God reveals things to us through prophecy, whether good or bad. What we do with such information is left to us. The Bible says whatever we bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. He has given us power. When a bad prophecy comes, we are supposed to cancel it and decree what we want according to the authority God has given us. If it's a good one, we are to hold on to it, claiming it in prayer until it manifests. We are more than conquerors, why should we fear? |
Awesomemama:Thanks Ma'am and amen to the prayers. I am too overjoyed not to share my story even if i had to post a 100 times. Wanted to share so many things i learnt as a ftm but for the ban. It is well |
BlessedDiva:Thanks Mama, was banned more than 10 times but i give God all the Glory |
My bs part 7 She was placed on my chest for 5mins while the placenta was brought out. They took her away for cleaning and brought her back for skin to skin contact. While she was still on my chest, i was stitched. Midway into the stitching, i started feeling pains and was told that epidural has finished its work. We were discharged the following day. I just want to thank God for a stress free pregnancy. The itching was a blessing for me as i was able to meet my princess on time at 37weeks 6days. All tests have been done from jaundice screening, to eye, ear and blood tests and she is doing fine. I am officially a mum! I pray for all waddling mamas on this thread, our delivery shall be very easy, easier than you can ever imagine, as for my gtc mamas, very soon we will rejoice with you on this thread. There shall be no loss of mother, child or father on this thread in Jesus Name. Cc: My able Cappo mumsgirl27 Cc: My beautiful Team May Mamas Cc: All other wonderful Mamas on this thread |
My bs part 6 By 2pm i was checked and it was still 3cm. The doctor then asked the nurse to add that hot drip to my drip. The contractions came even faster and they were strong. I was given an oxygen mask (don't know why) and at some point i would be asked to keep taking deep breaths. By 4pm, i was checked and it was still 3cm! I was shocked. My mum who was with me since men are not allowed in the labour room started firing prayers (in an arab country, lol). Me too i was just praying, enough is enough o. Then after one hour, the doctor checked and alas i was 9cm dilated. Oh my joy knew no bounds. He said he will come back soon to check. By 6pm i was 10cm and under few minutes, my bed was converted and raised, everything was put in place. Then when i had a strong contraction, i was asked to push. I pushed a no of times, was given a cut and by 7pm on May 10 my gentle princess came out weighing 2.72kg. |
Doubledouble:Wow...congrats Mama Ibeji times two. God bless your babies. I tap into this ibeji blessing o |
My bs part 5 So i was given an injection. I think it was to thin out my cervix and also reduce pain. After a few hours, my water broke. The contractions came faster and i was asked to keep breathing in and out. After a while i was checked and was 3cm. I was wheeled to the labour room at 10am. I was given drip and after being strapped again to the ctg machine, the nurse asked if i wanted ep.dural. Before she finished asking, i said yes. She asked if i know the side effects, i said yes. Then she gave me a paper to sign. The ep.dural was administered to me and after few minutes the pain reduced. It was the ctg machine that was showing if the contractions were strong or not. As for me, it was mild and bearable. My vj was numb, i wasn't feeling anything there even when the doctors were 'chooking' their hands inside. |
My bs part 4 So on the 9th of May, i was admitted for induction. By 11am, i was strapped to the ctg machine and some liquid was injected into my vj. I was told the doctors would come back in 8hrs while the nurses will attend to me. Throughout the 8hrs, i did not feel anything. I was checked at some point and was only 1cm dilated. When the doctor put her hand in my vj, the pain i felt was out of this world. I could barely walk to the toilet after the check. So by 7pm, the doctors came to check again and it was still 1cm, after 8hrs! They injected the liquid again and kept monitoring me. After 30 mins, the contractions started coming like every 5mins. I cried all through the night. Then the doctors came again by 5am, 1cm still. I was tired of the pain coming from the 'hand chooking' and contractions. I told the doctors i could not bear the pain again (as i have a low threshhold for pain). |
My bs part 3 At 35 weeks, i went for antenatal, and after going through my tests results and history so far, the doctor said i would be induced in two weeks time at 37 weeks. He asked me to reduce the dosage of the drug to twice a day. I told him, the itching had reduced, he said it is better to be safe than sorry. Immediately he prescribed an injection for assisting my lo lungs to mature faster. When i looked at the slip he gave me to book for my induction, the reason he wrote was cholestasis. I was shocked but i trusted God that all will be well. He that has made everything fine till this stage (no headache, no high bp, no diabetes, no low pcv, etc) will perfect everything that concerns me. Also as a ftm, i wanted to see my lo as soon as possible. |
My birth story part 2 I would itch my belly, hands, legs and sometimes my face until there is wound. The doctor said it's pruritis and gave me one drug to use for 5 days with c lotion. Omo, everything remained the same o. The sleepless nights were worse because i had to go to work the following day. After some bile acid tests, the doctor prescribed another drug to be taken 3 times a day after meal. It was a very powerful drug for me. I was told i will use it till i deliver. Well, the itching reduced drastically, and was only on my belly. I also was able to sleep at night. |

Itissettled3:Oh...thanks Mama |
Giddyperson:My dear sister, i was banned after posting part 2. I just know that one day i will complete it ![]() |
My birth story 1 My pregnancy journey was smooth, i only had mild ms and loss of appetite. By second trimester i was strong again, my apetite came back but after a short while i started having food aversions which lasted throughout. I couldn't take fruits and was not even faithful to my vit c tablets because of how it made me feel too. I managed to eat at least 3 sizeable meals a day not skipping my prenatal drugs. By third trimester, this itching came from nowhere. |
My testimony God has been faithful to me and my family. After my wedding, i waited 8 months to join my husband overseas. In btw we met, got pregnant and had a miscarriage. After joining him, i waited another 8 months to get a work permit and a job. Pregnancy was not an option then as no employer would employ a pregnant woman. I waited another 3 months to settle down at work, and immediately after i received my bfp, just like that, unplanned, like a dream. |
zaynie:Oh really? That means you saw the post |
Giddyperson:Hmmmn...ok. i will try the space thing as I've already tried separate posts. Thanks Mama |
zaynie:Thanks Mama for your concern |
StrongWoman333:Maybe trying another username would work. I wouldn't mind also, if any mama can send me their email address so that i can send my bs to them for them to help me post. It's really frustrating as I've tried so many methods and yet I've been banned more than 5 times. |
OMOTOWO:Halleluyah!!! Glory be to God. Congrats Sir |
Help pls...Can't post my bs. What exactly am i doing wrong to be banned each time i try to post? |
My Birth Story! Part 1 Mamas pls bear with me, i'm so overwhelmed with joy. I've tried to cut the long story short but my post is still long. God has been faithful to me and my family. The drug was too powerful for me. i was told i will use it till i deliver. Well, the itching reduced drastically and was only more on my belly. I was also able to sleep at night. |
mumsgirl27:Ah Cappo, i just dey chop anyhow o. My taste buds became active almost immediately. As for the bolded, i can worry for Africa but thank God it ended in praise.
