PoliticsRe: How PDP Has Connived All The Way With INEC by weownthewest: 7:54pm On Feb 17, 2019

Zeemam:
Many people will find this amusing, some will even think it’s a conspiracy theory but the connivance between the PDP and INEC is more than you can ever imagine. The funny thing is, it had always stared us in the face.

Let’s start from the stakeholders meeting INEC held with political parties, observers and other stakeholders on Saturday, 16th of February in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital. That the representative of the People’s democratic party Obinna Chidoka, was showering accolades on INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu for postponing the general elections, his only grievance was the ownership structure of the firm that supplied card readers while on the other hand here comes the chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Adams Oshiomhole demanding the exact reasons why elections were cancelled especially at a time when decent Nigerians were asleep.

In response to Oshiomhole, Yakubu neither apologized nor gave a concise reason for the postponement sides that they could not guarantee that all the polling stations would commence at the same time with a stern face while anyone watching keenly would notice that
the INEC chairman fondly replied the PDP representative who had hijacked the microphone to ask a second question, shortly after shouting moderator down.

The first we heard of the possible postponement of the presidentially election came from senior members of the PDP media campaign. Last week Gbenga Daniels, Bukola Saraki and others hinted at a possible shift in the date, they said it authoritatively because they had insiders in INEC.

Hours before INEC officially announced the postponement, former Ekiti governor, Ayodele Fayose had stated that the election will be postponed.
He was even quoted by Premium Times and other online news sources; this begs the question, how come the PDP knows so much about happenings within INEC? Don’t look any further, the collusion between PDP and INEC has been in the offing for months.

PDP are the Puppeteers while the INEC commissioners are the puppets in this show. These persons are fully aware the president would not interfere in the activities of INEC and are taking full advantage of that fact to perpetrate this ignominy on the 84 million registered voters across the country.

The first pointer that the PDP and INEC are working hand in hand was when INEC came down hard on the APC in Rivers, Zamfara and Cross River, denying them their right to present candidates in those states.

But guess what, this same INEC approved Senator Buruji Kashamu as Ogun governorship candidate even though he did not participate in the PDP governorship primaries at all. In Sokoto, after it had been widely reported that Governor Aminu Tambuwal was not the candidate of the PDP, INEC manipulated its process and named him. It was even reported that Sokoto PDP said Tambuwal was not their candidate INEC had other ideas.

These are two of many such cases that INEC approved for PDP while depriving APC and its candidates.

Let us beware of all their antics and ensure that come February 23rd we ensure that these persons who do not have our interests at heart are kept away from public offices. INEC cannot be trusted and their neutrality is in doubt.

This is part of the meddling and connivance activities that the PDP went to acquire from Trump and their lobbyist Ballard Partners during their short trip to the United States.

[s]
Almusty6060:
DO YOU THINK PETER OBI WILL DELIVER HIS STATE FOR ATIKU AND PDP.

It's getting more interesting that one is beginning to look into how the Anambra politics is settled.
Currently, the state is housing an incumbent governor whose name is Willie Obiano, under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), that is to say, neither APC or the PDP is ruling on the state so far.

Interestingly enough, we have three faces on the image attached to this post and it consists of the past Governors in array, the present Governor is not attached, in case you don't know him.

The number one (1.) person on the image is Peter Obi.

WHO IS PETER OBI?
Peter Obi (born 19 July 1961) was a former governor of Anambra State serving from 17 March 2006 to 2 November 2006, when he was impeached and from 9 February 2007 to 29 May 2007 after his impeachment was overturned. Although a fresh election was held on 29 April 2007, he was reappointed governor on 14 June 2007 after a court ruling that he should be allowed to complete a four-year term.
He won a 6 February 2010 election for a second term as governor untill 17th of March, 2014.

On October 12, 2018, Peter Obi was named as the running mate to Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party's Presidential Candidate in the Nigerian 2019 Presidential elections. He was caught red-handed for reeling out fake and outlandish figures and deleted one of the misleading tweets.

The second man is Chris Ngige.

WHO IS CHRIS NGIGE?
• Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige (born 8 August 1952) was governor of Anambra State in Nigeria from 29 May 2003 to 17 March 2006. He is currently a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was elected Senator for Anambra Central Constituency in April 2011.

On 11 November 2015, Ngige was named minister of Labour and Employment by President Muhammadu Buhari. Ngige is still under the APC till date.

The third man on the picture is Chinwoke Mbadinuju

WHO IS CHINWOKE MBADINUJU?
Chinwoke Mbadinuju (born 14 June 1945) was Governor of Anambra State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2003.

He later joined the APC and pledged to support Muhammadu Buhari in his government and elections.

Having highlighted on the profiles of these past Governors, one will understand that APC is more and well grounded than PDP in Anambra state.

Many believe that the chemistry that exist between Chinwoke Mbadinuju and General Mohammadu Buhari, the President, is as result of Mbadinuju’s zero tolerance for the menace called corruption while in office. This has also earned him so much respect in the eyes of the masses and indegenes of Anambra state.

As it was in 2015, in contrary, it won't be like that this year, if the two forces are able to do the homework properly, there is high chances that APC will take a lead over the opposition party.

On the 24th of January, 2019, the president and his entourage took their campaign to Anambra & Enugu states where he commissioned a Centre of Excellence built by the Central Bank of Nigeria, at the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus. These moves have also given the Igbo people the sense of belonging and love from this administration. It actually surfaced at his rally to those states with the number of people that came out for the rally. A lot have since then decided to vote for his continuity without any obstacles in their respective choices.

The only thing I have to say is, Peter Obi should sit up with more effort, else, he will be shocked to lose his state over APC in the presidential election with a wide margin.

A honest indication that BUHARI & APC is winning already.

gentlegenius:
With only one week to the elections, political parties and candidates are all out to out-do each other for the ultimate prize. Part of the strategy is showcasing what they have done and making promises which are sometimes achievable and other times not.
For the 2019 elections, though there are several parties taking part in the elections, most Nigerians are more concerned about the two major political parties, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party, and do not take lightly any comment made about them or their candidates, especially those flying their flags in the presidential elections. In this case, President Muhammadu Buhari for the APC and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for the PDP.
It is therefore not surprising that a statement by Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, has continued to generate reactions across the country, especially with the elections just a few days away. Kano has always been a stronghold of President Muhammadu Buhari and he has always won there overwhelmingly in all the presidential elections even the ones in which he failed to make it to the Aso Villa.

The Claim
In November, 2018, Governor Ganduje promised the candidate of the APC, President Buhari “a minimum of five million votes”. He has continued to repeat this chest-thumping promise at political events.
Speaking at a grand rally in Kano to welcome a former governor of the state and former minister of education, Ibrahim Shekarau and other Peoples Democratic Party’s decampees into the ruling All Progressives Congress, Ganduje had said, “let us talk about Kano. APC is the only party in Kano. We have the highest number of Party members. Our effort is not only to win Governorship, Presidential, National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections, our intention is to provide the highest number of votes for APC in Nigeria.
“If you remember, we promised Mr President a minimum of five million votes. Kano is the home of the progressives. Our great leader, Malam Aminu Kano, was a progressive. Abubakar Rimi was a progressive….What do you expect from Kano apart from progressive government, administration and voting? That is why we are all united to give Mr President over five million votes from Kano State”.
That was the second time the governor was making that promise. He had earlier made a similar promise in February 2018, which was long before the president indicated interest to contest the election. Ganduje had pledged to deliver a total of five million votes in favour of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential elections if he decides to seek a re-election.
Speaking at the swearing-in of 44 new local government council chairmen and 484 councillors, Ganduje said the victory recorded by the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the local government polls shows that the “party is Kano”.
“The overall number of votes scored by the APC candidates is more than what President Buhari scored in 2015 general election, that is to say that if eventually he agrees to contest 2019 general election, I assure you (Buhari) we will give you five million votes,” he had said.
This promise made by the Kano governor was fact checked. Below is data on how Buhari has fared since he started contesting election for Presidency in Kano State.
In 2007, according to data gathered from the National Democratic Institute (NDI) website (INEC) does not have the data on its website], the total number of registered voters in Kano was 4,072,597,while the votes cast for Muhammadu Buhari, the then candidate of the All Nigeria’s Peoples Party(ANPP) was 1,079,240. The figure amounts to 26 per cent of the votes cast in Kano. Therefore,it was barely over a quarter of the voting population of Kano that voted for Buhari in 2007.
According to data from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) website, in 2011, the total number of registered voters in Kano was 5,190,382. The voter turnout was approximately 2.5 million. Votes cast for Muhammadu Buhari, the then candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) was approximately 1,624,000. The voter turnout was 48.1 per cent, while Buhari secured 31.2 per cent of the votes cast.
And in 2015, INEC data shows that Kano had a total number of 4,943,862 voters. Those accredited for the election were 2,364,434 (47.8per cent of total voters), while Buhari, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured 1,903 million votes. Buhari, therefore, got 38 per cent of the votes.
For next week’s election, based on INEC data, the total number of registered voters inKano State is 5,457,747. Number of PVCs collected so far is 4.7 million while 700, 000 are yet to be collected.

Unrealistic Calculation
At the moment, there are 700,000 PVCs still uncollected and it is unlikely that all the cards will be picked up before Saturday, February 16, the date of the presidential election. Therefore, the assumption that all 5.4 million registered voters will have their PVCs is false.
Among those who have collected PVCs, it is unlikely that all 4.7 million voters will turn out as that will amount to 100 per cent voter turnout, a feat that has never been achieved in any state of the country, or even in advanced democracies. And even if all 4.7 million people do, that will also not give Ganduje, his proposed 5 million votes.
From the data above, since 2007, Kano has never had up to 50 per cent voter turnout. The highest the state has recorded since 2007 was in 2011, where it got a 48.1 per cent voter turnout. For Governor Ganduje to fulfil his promise of five million votes for the president, he has assumed that all registered voters will cast their votes on the day of the election and that Buhari will secure 92.5 per cent of the votes cast. The highest percentage the president has ever secured in the state is 38 per cent, which was the election that gave him the Presidency in 2015.
Based on available statistics, a 100 per cent voter turnout is almost impossible anywhere in the world. Even in advanced climes like the United States, voter turnout is usually around 60 per cent. We cannot also rule out the issue of voided votes, which are recorded almost in every election.
Speaking to Daily Trust on Sunday, Mr. Jide Ojo, an expert in election matters and a former IFES Director, said it is not possible to have a 100 per cent voter turnout in any election. He maintained that in Nigeria’s elections, there are variables. He noted that certain categories of people like security personnel who will be posted out of their places of resident to ensure security during the polls, media personnel, who may be on special duties, election observers, INEC ad hoc staff among others are prevented from voting due to their peculiar situations.
Ojo added that since the INEC register was compiled, some persons may have died, just as some may now be incapacitated due to illnesses that could prevent them from casting their votes. He said some persons may have also moved from one town to another and have not been able to transfer their voter’s cards, and that will also prevent them from voting.
“Aside these groups of people, there may also be people who have their PVCs but are not interested in the candidates and will not go out. Even if they have PVCs, some people may also be scared of violence and decide to stay indoors. So, it is impossible to have 100 per cent voter turnout and where you get such or something close to it, you should be worried because something is wrong. On the average, the turnout we usually get in Nigeria is about 35 per cent for presidential elections”, he said.

Verdict
Governor Ganduje’s promise to Buhari is exaggerated. It cannot be redeemed because itis totally unrealistic and should not have been made at all.

Note:This is not a thread for APC family,I'm only talking to those that do lot want Buhari Again...

Note:this message seems Biased.... but I'm writing it out of love for Nigeria.

I want you to note this few points before going out to vote.

1. From all indications it obvious Buhari is not capable to rule the country,He's been forced by some people.

2.The best Candidate never wins... Sowere would've been the right candidate, but surely Je can't win and He knows.

3.If you and I agreed to vote for Sowore He won't still wins because of the population of Hell bent youth and illiteracy.

4.North is a factor to consider and will always be a factor (Reason Atiku won the primary over the likes of Dukes)

5.you can vote for Sowore and his likes... But be sure it's a solidarity vote.

6.Our best shot is to vote for the candidate that has the capability to win over APC...Thus I'm saying Atiku is our best option.

7.Atiku is our best option not the best candidate.

8.If we vote Buhari out ,Nigerians will be establishing a strong message that's "the power truly belongs to the Masses,if you under perform you're gone ".... let's not miss the chance to make that established.

9.please let's not sell our votes.

10. We've tried Buhari ,He has absolutely nothing to offer, let's give Atiku a chance... if he act like Buhari ... we pick someone else 2022.

11.dont give up on Nigeria yet.... you and I can make a change... we keep trying till we get it.

Vote not fight.

It's Buhsri's lack of leadership on display. Same thing is going on in Zamfara, Rivers, Ondo, and Imo. If Buhari had leadership qualities, he would have stepped in as the #1 man in the party and as president and lay down the marker. This is exactly what happened when Saraki became the Senate president. That lack of leadership destroyed Buhsri's administration from the onset. Saraki was PDP at heart and came in with PDP's agenda of share the money and eat everything on the table while leaving common man in hunger.

Buhari is the problem that befell APC. APC was formed with good manifesto but Buhari came in and became Mr know it all. He listens to no one except his inner circle (cabal). His wife actually fulfilling her promise not to participate in the campaign if the cabal were still around during the election because monkey can't be doing the work while baboons dey chop.

APC meant well for the country but Buhsri's leadership style has destroyed their good plan for the country. No progress to be made until Buhari leaves office.
