Politics › Re: For The First Time I Agree With Buhari by weownthewest: 11:23am On Feb 01, 2019 |
mekaboy: After watching Buhari and Atiku on the candidates, I have come to the conclusion that Buhari was right about Nigerian Youths being lazy. I choose to concentrate on Buhari and Atiku because they are the two most popular candidates with stronger party structure.
The youths watched the interview of two teams. One team believes .
One who could not understand questions . One that believes that the best way to grow the economy is increase tax of already struggling businesses and borrow more.
While the other believes in reducing tax, bringing in more investors who will create more jobs and then more people will be in the tax net as a result of employment.
One team believes that empowerment for youths is by paying people who studied medicine, engineering, pharmacy etc 30k to go and teach primary school children religious knowledge primary school.
While the other believes in working with banks to reduce interests rates on loans to empower startups.
They look at one team that has been successful in business with evidence of turning $30 million to $100 million in just 1 investment.
Let's 75 billion in cash and investments for a state, which has never been done in Nigeria. With moderator admitting that Atiku is the second largest employer apart from government. That he has invested in both Education, health and finance as an individual.
Yet the other has never done any business outside government or employed anyone outside government. While Peter obi has shown evidence of his ability to bring international investors into Nigeria, by the Anambra example.. While one team goes about painting the image Nigeria black and expecting investors to come, the other team believes in selling the potentials of the nation and reducing tax to attract investors. Are we surprised that we are losing investors to Ghana?
Instead of being motivated by the business acumen of the innovative team, they tag it corruption.
So I have come to the conclusion that the youths supporting buhari are truly the lazy youths that are afraid to think outside the box. They are afraid to start something from scratch and grow it. They are afraid to venture into business. They just want to work for government and do nothing meaningful with their lives.
They see that 30k as gainfully employed . While over 20 million real jobs have been lost in banks, telecoms etc, they see 30k job of teaching and wasting potentials as real jobs.
Yet the world richest men today are products of a private sector driven economy. Imagine if the founders of Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Alibaba etc were paid 30k to teach in the villages or given 10k in 4 years as trader money?
So it is clear to me today that Nigerian Youths are truly lazy as buhari said and just want to sit and be paid for doing nothing. If not, why will any youth still support buhari after watching Atiku? Incredible piece. More grease to your elbow. |

[s] life2017: How ATIKU and OBI were rattled at the debate over Corruption
Kadaria Ahmed. She reared them like cattle.
She led Atiku into a pen. She asked him to define corruption. He dabbled into the trap. He said it was abuse of public office for private gain. Then she slammed the door.
She asked him what Volpi and Intel were about.
Atiku squirmed like a rat that jumped onto a piece of fish and landed on a rat gum.
She asked him to calm down. Because she was not there for tales by moonlight. She asked him how Intels came by a monopolistic federal concession when he was vice president.
Atiku squirmed.
Obi ran in to help.
She dragged him into the quagmire.
She asked him why he invested billions of naira of state govt money in a brewery where his Company Next had just become a major shareholder when he was governor.
Obi didnt appreciste the conflict of interest sinkhole infront of him
Obi cried with his thin voice in righteous indignation. He claimed he made billions for the state.
She told Obi to behave and stop being childish. Three times she reminded Obi to remember he was on a national stage.
A rattled Obi remained disoriented. By the time he came to himself he had been tied hands and feet .
He had to act quickly. He acted rashly . He disowned NEXT. He told a bewildered nation that he was no longer the founder of the company .
But Kadaria was relentless. She then sought to know if Obi understood that NEXT being a family business doesn't relieve him of any moral burden in the matter.
Obi was stunned.
When she returned to Atiku , he was begging for reprieve. But it wouldn't come. A ruthless member of the audience had taken the microphone. He quoted a passage in Obasanjos book. There, Atiku was painted as a cross breed between Judas , Esau and Barrabas.
Corrupt. Lacking conscience. Greedy. Roguish.
The impudent boy wanted to know if Atiku would hire a worker who came with such a colourful reference from his former boss. Atiku stopped short of calling Obasanjo a bloody liar.
Obi , still stuck in the rut of premier breweries, leaned in to help a bleeding Atiku. He said referees can change their minds now after reviewing the VAR. But his shopkeepers wisdom didnt tell him that this referee still stands by his earlier assessment. The referee only thinks that the sinner has repented.
Kadaria Ahmed is a certified undertaker.
Atiku needed fresh air. He tried to leap out of the window. He announced from the blues that he had taken 45000 people in Adamawa out of poverty.
Kadaria dragged him back.
Where are these people?
She asked Atiku why Adamawa is still one of the poorest states in Nigeria despite his claims. And has been in same wretched position for 20 years
Kadaria Ahmed is seasoned prison warder.

DesChyko: I was domiciled in Anambra State as a scholar at the State University during Obi's tenure, and with what was obtainable at the university before he came in, and what happened after, what secondary schools benefitted from his tenure, how moving around became quite more easier and comfortable with the roads/bridges and vehicles, I dare say you as an indigene would be a traitor to condemn him as a non-performer. Those of us who schooled in Anambra State University then would remember one sum like that we paid for a certain reason and was returned back to every single one of us when he ruled that it was not our duty to provide it. I think it was about 5k or thereabout. Did you even ever visit State Structures under his tenure? Did you notice how impeccable they appeared? Some where even undergoing construction or reconstruction while others appeared very calm and serene. The perfect environment is indeed the soul of business. It would be impossible to outline his achievements, especially without also including the current gains in the state from his past investments, which is the major driving force of a true business man. Investing today to gain tomorrow. What he did for Anambra State is what a governor is supposed to do. No need to praise him much. But as they say, in the land of the blind, a one-eyed man is the king. You shouldn't have responded to that fool. His problem with Peter obi is personal that is why he never sees good in Obi. |

If they don't have anything sensible to say to address the concerns raised by the west, they had better keep quiet before these people would cut their aids sent to us and other diplomatic benefits. Our economy is already in shambles . By the time they ask the remaining few investors to close shop and they're threstening the errying ones with sanctions, the situation would simply go from worse to worst. A dollar is 362 naira and now we're shouting . We dont want to drink our oil cos by the time they stop buying our oil, na to dey chop human being e go remain...God forbid.

Most times i am disappointed at these opposition governors mostly from pdp. No one says you should not be friends with the centre but the manner in which they are sheepishly following the president is disgraceful to say the least. I recall that when Good luck Jonathan was president, the opposition governors knew their place. They weren't sycophants like these present governors. Take for instance when Jonathan flagged off the construction of Lagos-Ibadan road only governor Amosun graced the occasion out of the six south west governors. But the reverse is the case in the east and south south. Honestly i don tire for these confused set of governors we have. |
