Thanks for sharing, @Henryjackon2233

Love the way you stated that nonprofits can be a great way to use your business skills for good.

Another point: clarity of purpose. More nonprofits need to be clear on what exactly they want to do and how they plan to achieve that.

Many of the funding issues faced by nonprofits usually come from not being clear on the best funding options for them

Good to let more non-profits know they have options to expand their reach.

Many non-profits seem to focus on just one style of fundraising, without bothering to explore whether that is the best funding option for them

Master the art of strategic planning by learning to think outside the box while looking for new ways to make money. Developing a network of supporters who see the value in what you're doing and are willing to donate their time and money...
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Love the emphasis you put on strategic planning and thinking outside the box. While there are lots of funding opportunities available, just blindly sending out grant applications like everyone else may not necessarily be productive.

We need to be creative to find the best funding options that suit our own unique needs

As a man, to overcome 80percent of problem with your spouse, have your own separate room, let your wife have her own room.

If you're going out, lock your room, if you come back from work or business, jejely Waka enter your room and lock yourself inside, enjoy your space sometime in your marriage as if you're still a bachelor, ping your room as single man, if you are a game lover buy play station, television, small fridge etc and put in that room..

Be a man that your wife and children will knock and seek his face, stop making yourself available for your wife, but always be accountable and provide for your family when it comes to finance.

To much familiarity dey bring disrespect and altercation!!

For your peace of mind, privatized your space in your home, the tension is too much already on you.

Thanks for sharing your opinion

Truth be told, many people posing as pastors prey on the ignorance of people to swindle them. This isn't new; even from the days of the apostles, these characters have always been there.

A good way to protect ourselves from being deceived is to take our personal Bible study seriously.

But of course, personal study takes time and effort. That's why whenever we just want "sharp-sharp" answers, we risk opening ourselves up to these "wolves in sheep's clothing"

This is part of why I don't agree with fundraising that appeals to guilt and pity.

What if these people were engaged in some economic activity to raise the money? Who knows, perhaps they would have had some respect for the funds.

Just sitting back and receiving credit alerts for looking sorrowful isn't a sustainable model
Christianity EtcRe: Improving The Holy Books by werisetogether(m): 2:33pm On Jan 10, 2025
Seun:
Imagine if the Holy books could be updated? Like removing offensive verses that don't represent your religion anymore. For Christianity things like "(a woman) must be silent" and "Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks" could be removed.

Before the printing press, religious books were copied by hand. The scribes took liberties with the text all the time, often at the behest of their benefactors. That's why in the NIV bible you'll see footnotes showing that there are multiple versions of a bible verse.

Some entire Bible passages were added by creative scribes. The one where Jesus saves a woman caught in adultery is an example. It's such a good story right? This shows that altering scriptural texts can be beneficial. That fabulous story has definitely saved many lives.

So why can't we improve our Holy Books? 😃
Thanks for sharing

There is definitely the need for closer study of the Scriptures, especially as we are not the original audience and so will need to have better understanding of the initial context.

For instance, the text about women being silent was to address a particular knotty issue in an early church assembly. That's where study helps like Bible dictionaries, commentaries come in handy

Same thing with the one of the lady caught in adultery. Sure, the earliest available manuscripts don't include that portion of Scripture. But it's a bit of a stretch to assume that they were added by creative editors.

Who knows: some ancient scrolls may turn up tomorrow with those verses and even more. From evidence found in Scripture, there are quite a few letters of Paul and Peter which are not available today.

In all, with the available resources today, we need to be more thorough in our personal study of Scripture. It would even protect us from deceitful doctrines of men

Thanks again for bringing this up
