These people know how to dispense fuel for free but don't know how to bring back our fuel to N50 a liter, or even lower! |
bigass:Sort of his trademark. |
Good thinking, bad to act out, especially now. One isn't a slave because he is called by the name. He is because he bears and does what kills his shame, self-esteem e tc. If all the citizens of this country can rally round and let us shut down this country for as long as it would take to violently jerk her into the sane lane. We are on the verge of losing this great nation. |
Once the time comes, I have vowed that it will be done the way my grand father and ancestors did theirs. Wearing all those gowns and suites and going to a church will be a no-no for me. The pastor may come to the our venue and then pray and invoke God's blessings on us. Afterwards, the marriage will be registered in the appropriate ministry. Ka Chineke mezie okwu. |
Sometimes it is better to keep shut, than open ones mouth and prove all the doubting Thomases right. This governor is beginning to get too talkative for my liking. |
From this statistics, it simply means that this country is really sick. It also simply shows that the problem crippling this country, to a higher percentage, stems from our unintelligent leaders, who will keep trying to correct multitude of problems with a single rigid method. So, what will happen to our economy if the '91percenters' should suddenly be thrown out of business? How great will the reverberation be! In fact, why is it that almost every importer is a smuggler! Have the said Customs also looked at their policies, instead of trying to 'poorpulate' this country. With this high numbers, it simply means that the Customs are to blame- they are now masqurades that put fear into the hearts of the importers! They should start re-amending most of their policies |
It used to be lovely when they had their price tags by their sides- was a source of motivation for saving! Hustle on, though. |
lade007:Will it be limited only to the bmws or are there some japanese, like hondas and suzukis, involved? |
It also means one can get quality motorcycles from you as well. |
[quote author=Rotimik post=62103441]This is about correcting distorted history, misinformation and disinformation by Igbo propagandists about the 20 pounds policy and the sincerity of Awolowo. [/quote HAHAHAHAHA |
Ngozi123:You should feel proud he is obsessed with your tribe, or should he be obsessed with his. People become obsessed with you because they think you are better them, because they think you have a secret, and they want to learn from it. They find it hard to accept that the ulterior motive of the 20 Pounds on Igbos backfired. Igbos can never accept servitude. You should actually praise God that this guy is obsessed with you. |
Michael004:Ashamed at what? Ashamed at a comedian and his silly jokes! Whoever worries about the trash made up by this baby man will only have himself or herself to blame. Actually, in this world of striving, one shouldn't always pass an opportunity to have a hearty laughter. But for those of you that are supporting him in the 're-write' of his own history, I don't know what to say. |
rlauncher:Achebe actually made reference to the 20 Pounds story in his book of short stories Girls At War. It has been long I read that book so I cant be specific with the page. |
aribisala0:HAHAHA. Sometimes I wish Igbos on these forum could help themselves not responding to every Tom, Dick and the O.P. Somebody wakes up and decides to taunt some people, and the people fall for it. The aribawhatever is a nobody to deserve your mental stress; whatever is truth to him, leave him to it. Let me keep laughing as I read further contributions. HAHAHAHAHAHHAA... |
EmeeNaka:What is going on with you is what I term the 'spectator effect'- from outside it is very easy to be done; then you take over the wheels. Capital expenditures are not the Peter Obi's type that don't stand the test of time, not when you are in a recession. |

ignatiusez:Things are not as easy as they seem, and don't forget we are still struggling to rise out from recession. This government has right plans- forget what the self-acclaimed profs and advert makers say. In fact the government of this country should have taken a cue from Obiano as to how things are run in times of recession. We may pretend to be blind as much as we want but let's give this guy and A.P.G.A. a chance. A.P.G.A. hasn't disappointed us so far with her choice of candidates yet. |
globemoney:We never know what good we enjoyed till we lose it.The worst is comparing an administration that is battling recession- and making a good show of it- with an administration that started and ended in affluence. This administration can do more, and the legacy should be forever A.P.G.A. |
I thought they was talking about RR. Sorry, ain't interested. |
We don't know our rights in this country, not that I support infidelity though. If your wife or husband engages in extra-marital affairs and you can no longer endure it why not seek a divorce! Take the beating, go home, go to a hospital, get a lawyer, and start seeking reimbursement against damages. Sue the hotel, the husband, the car-owner, whatever or whoever- it begins with you! This sudden rise in street justice or stupid sense of morality must come to an end. This is not a rape case; and even if it were... |
How do these people feel when they meet their colleagues in these kind of places? Are they even able to look them in the eye?! |
nurey:The tokumbo diesel engine price ranges from N600k to N1m. Some truck importers will bring in the vehicles in their diesel form, take out the diesel engines in them and sell separately, and swap in with the petrol type. I bought mine at Onitsha as a RHD before it was converted. It was also sold to me with the 1rz engine. There is this fear Nigerians have with diesel engines - could be as a lack of experienced mechanics in the medium truck section. It's only in the heavy-duty truck section (tippers and trailers and caterpillars and luxurious buses et c.) that they keep their diesel engine with the vehicle. |
nurey:Actually, the maximum recommended weight this Dyna 150 can haul is 1,835kg or 1.8tons. What we normally do is add two or more leaf springs to each set of springs that come with the truck. This gives the truck a high ground clearance. So it means I would also get a new exhaust pipe that has some of these sensors. From what I read from your comment, if you were in my business and wanted to replace the engine of the truck, what kind of petrol engine from Toyota would you recommend, or what numbers for hp,torque will you be aiming? Does a higher displacement (abi na cc) mean a more powerful engine? Thanks once more! |
nurey:These trucks are mostly usually manufactured with diesel engines. But few are manufactured as petrol, such as the 2y, 3y and the 4y engines. These diesel engines are usually very expensive, so when they become problematic, many people find it hard to replace them with the same diesel type. I bought mine with a 1rz engine which is currently emitting white smoke. I'm asking for help to know which would be more reliable between the fuel-injected 2rz and the 3rz? Also, did I make a good choice going with the fuel-injector instead of the carburetor? Thanks again for replying. |
Abeg make una help. I dey for crisis. @ Gazzuzz, @ Ikenna351, @ kingreign, @ nurey and not forgetting the rest of the car doctors on this forum. Plssss! |
I have a petrol Toyoya dyna 150 that I use in delivering building materials to customers. The maximum weight of goods I usually carry is 3,500kg or 3.5tons. Recently, I noticed it started emitting white smoke, which could signify a worn out piston ring, as I have learnt from this forum. Also since I bought the truck, the carburetor servicing has been a source of nightmare to me. I want to get into management mode on this current engine as I prepare funds for a replacement. I am making a comparison between two injector engines, no more carburetor. It's between the 2rz and the 3rz. My mind is on the 3rz, as you put into consideration the weight of the goods. A friend and colleague says the 2rz is the most reliable Toyota engine for commercial use. So I'm in a dilemma; and I have repeatedly checked the net for specs and help but don't understand the language. Pls help a nairalander out. |
Ovamboland:So, what's stopping us from making these mineral deposits alternatives to crude oil! Mind you, a small population doesn't always mean that a nation will be 'healthy',neither does a large population guarantee a never-do-well. But when a government becomes ignorant or lazy and doesn't take her priorities right, that becomes a catalyst for inevitable failure. I bet you that most of these aforementioned countries also have reliable electricity supply as well. |
muller101:How can a people with vast natural and mental resources be poor! It is majorly the leaders that are killing the nation. |
Leboska:But somebody needs to teach the 'four wives people' about the benefits of birth control and disadvantages of parents raising huge families without being responsible for them. The biggest problem of Nigeria is that of over-population. |
If you gave us the first man, and he failed you and us, can't you see that you are not good with selecting of qualified candidates. Let Anambra open their eyes and go with who they like; it's not a do or die. |
Alcatraz005:We made a mistake of electing a man with a (hearing) problem, but an eye for an eye, they say, makes the world go blind. The insult we are all tolerating is putting 'new wine in an old bottle,' and making it our Oga. |
I blame everybody and nobody. What I keep telling most of my friends is this: Buhari's government won't last forever. Let's be a little patient even if it has to get to the point of us doing the dance in the (python dance). This is the proverbial darkest hour before dawn. l see everybody learning from the enormous mistakes of this present administration, and this country being put on the path to glory. People have different ways of responding to situations that are life-threatening. Mana ofe di oku ga emecha juo oyi. Patience and sacrifice. |
