Religion / Your Thoughts On The Turin Shroud by whealthy(m): 9:07am On Mar 31, 2013
The Shroud of Turin or Turin Shroud
( Italian : Sindone di Torino, Sacra
Sindone ) is a linen cloth bearing the
image of a man who appears to have
suffered physical trauma in a manner
consistent with crucifixion .[1] It is kept in
the royal chapel of the Cathedral of Saint
John the Baptist in Turin, northern Italy.
The image on the shroud is commonly
associated with Jesus , his crucifixion and
burial . It is much clearer in black-and-
white negative than in its natural sepia
color. The negative image was first
observed in 1898, on the reverse
photographic plate of amateur
photographer Secondo Pia, who was
allowed to photograph it while it was
being exhibited in the Turin Cathedral.
The origins of the shroud and its image
are the subject of intense debate among
scientists, theologians, historians and
researchers. Scientific and popular
publications have presented diverse
arguments for both authenticity and
possible methods of forgery. A variety of
scientific theories regarding the shroud
have since been proposed, based on
disciplines ranging from chemistry to
biology and medical forensics to optical
image analysis. The Catholic Church has
neither formally endorsed nor rejected
the shroud, but in 1958 Pope Pius XII
approved of the image in association with
the Roman Catholic devotion to the Holy
Face of Jesus ( Wikipedia. com)
Do you think its a fake or real image of Jesus that is visible on the shroud?

Foreign Affairs / What Do You Think Of Oscar Pistorious' Explanation? by whealthy(m): 9:44am On Feb 20, 2013
The 26-year-old sprinter said in his defence that he had shot his girlfriend, 29-year-old Reeva Steenkamp, in a a rush of "terror" that she was an intruder. He said he only realised his tragic mistake when he backed away to his "pitch dark" bedroom and realised Ms Steenkamp was not in bed.
The prosecution, however, said that Mr Pistorius had "got up from the bed, put on his prosthetic legs, armed himself and walked seven metres to the bathroom" before firing four shots at Ms Steenkamp through the bathroom door.

Today, Mr Pistorius is fighting to be freed on bail pending the trial. Since he has been charged with premeditated murder, only "exceptional" circumstances will grant him bail.

If he is held on remand, he is likely to be sent to Pretoria Central Prison, which is notoriously overcrowded and violent. He will probably be stripped of his artificial legs, which could be viewed as potential weapons, and forced to use a wheelchair.

If found guilty at trial, Pistorius faces a life sentence.
What do you think? Premeditated murder or not?

1. How many yoruba states was included in Biafra? So the Yorubas should v fought to help igbos actualize there agenda?
2. When Igbos carried out the first coup, they eliminated yoruba nd northern leaders nd allowed there's to flee, then yorubas should fight for them?
3. Ojukwu who went around shamelessly beatin drums of war did not consider his possibility of winin? Was he bankin on the yorubas to be his goons? And for your information, á yoruba fear fear man received the article of surrender from the so called brave ibos! Ask those in the know, the Yorubas won that war, technically. Live with it or die denyin the truth. And we ruled for 8 years! With all igbo unity nd bravery, they er still trodden upon! So much for bravery!
4. To the goats runnin there mouth, where were you durin the Nadeco struggle? The Yoruba brought the nation on her knees, and were placated with OBJs presidency! And that was not even a full blown war!
5. The south west is pursuing peacefully its own independence from the centre, as evident in the political situation in the west. The igbos er screamin murder while they live under PDP dominance. Even the Ojukwu party is a failure in his own states.
6. As for those callin for war here nd there, they er shortsighted fools. Go nd ask your elders who witnessed it whether in the North or South what war does.
7. The mallam makin mouth, its not his fault, i blame whoever gave him the platform. So a one mile military corridor made the yorubas join? Because that one mile covered the whole south west?
8. I hate One Nigeria, war is not the way to go.

Politics / Debt Profile Of Nigerian States: Top 5 External Debtors by whealthy(m): 10:30am On Aug 04, 2012
Lagos, kaduna, Cross River, Ogun and Oyo occupied the top position on
the list of external debts incurred by state governments as of
June 30, 2012.
According to the list, Lagos topped the list of external debtors
with $517,677,672 as of June 30, 2012. Next to Lagos is
Kaduna with $197,155.525 foreign debt. Cross River comes next
with $109,351,503 external debt. Following Cross River is Ogun
State as the fourth most indebted state with $96,285.547 as
of June 30, 2012. Oyo is the fifth most indebted state as far as
external debt is concerned with $78,878,401 being owed as of
June 30, 2012.
However, while the other four states depend heavily on federal
allocations, Lagos generates huge internal revenue, which was
about N23bn monthly in the first quarter of the year. The Punch
investigations have also shown that the present administrations in
Ogun and Oyo inherited the foreign debts from their predecessors.
Also, states, whose external debts are low, include Borno ($
12,726,028); Delta ($15,785,110); Plateau ($20,190,627);
Taraba ($20,681,527) and Anambra ($25,370,842). Just
recently, renowned professor, Pat Utomi had condemned the way
the states of the country depend too heavily on money from the
Federal Government coffers. It is about time these states started
thinking seriously about how to increase their Internally Generated
revenue (IGR).

The Jonathan administration has organized a conference of all
Nigerian leaders, top businessmen, politicians, lawmakers,

Shut up my mumu friend,u have unlimited intelligence I guess

But wait ooo. I thought there is separation of powers checks and balances.
One thing I know is that even if a citizen decides to withdraw a case the state might object it,so why will the judge agree to the withdrawal of that sensitive matter??between where are the names of the suspects that were withdrawnwhy una dey quick believe cock and bull stories sef??

Gej is here to fight with the monster called corruption and nobody or thing will stop him
No jugde can stop a prosecutor or plaintiff from withdrawing his case.
In line with the power of nolle prosequi of the attorney general, he has the exclusive right to continue, discontinue or takeover any criminal case in any court.
This right is constitutionally guaranteed, hence the jugde cannot, cannot, cannot go against it even if it be against public policy.
this power is unchecked, it is discretionary.
So the attorney general just exercised it. Now can he exercise it without the Presidents knowlegde and permission?
Politics / Re: Subsidy Fraud: EFCC Withdraws Charges Against Four Suspects by whealthy(m): 8:27pm On Jul 31, 2012
Billyonaire: When did GEJ become Court Judge ? I bow for the rotten judiciary, each time the executive arms initiate corruption fight, the judiciary gets them off the hook.
You are so ignorant! The Attorney General has the power of NOLLE PROSEQUI' which means he can withdraw any government prosecution AT ANY STAGE before judgement. It is a constitutionally granted power. That's what he just used.
The question is, would the attorney general appointed by the president do this without his knowlegde? Am expecting you to say its possible, asshole!
