TheGuyFromHR: Salford is a city that is part of Greater Manchester, just like the city of Manchester itself is also part of Greater Manchester. In terms of physical location, Salford is just next to Manchester, and is now part of a continuous developed area, but they were distinctly separate cities in the past.
To understand better, look at it the same way as Lagos, the city and metropolis, is part of Lagos State. Now, imagine that urbanisation in that part of Nigeria had been joined up such that places like Mowe, Ibafo, Sango Ota, etc. formed a continuous development area with the city of Lagos (as they should), and all those places had been removed from Ogun State and placed under a separate administrative authority called Greater Lagos. Thanks for the detailed explanation boss |

LagosismyHome: Has anyone rented a flat above a shop before. ..ie a restaurant. Care to share your experience...
I am seeing one for some friends relocating from naija. The rental price is less but I am sure there would be a catch living above a shop Please do you have ccommodation plug in Manchester? |

Ayowolebami: Their school is saying the 30hrs is FREE for nursery as against 15hrs and not asking me for a dime/code but anyone with code will provide to the school and school will claim back their money from council as the subsidy is from the school's pocket.
This subsidy gangan is what I'm trying to clarify cause my understanding is that 2-4yrs in nursery is 15hrs free for everyone so I'm asking if anyone knows anything about the said subsidy. The woman who attended to me said she once worked in Oldham and it's 15hrs for nursery there but most schools in Manchester is 30hrs FREE even for nursery. Please, can you recommend any cheap housing for someone that'll arrive in Manchester without accommodation lined up? |

TheGuyFromHR: Extremely unrealistic on current trends, unfortunately. Housing in Manchester is generally difficult to get now. I would advise you made alternative housing plans for at least a month (and possibly more), and considered looking in locations in Greater Manchester outside the city such as Bolton, Bury, Oldham, etc. People are even coming in from places outside GM, such as Preston, for instance.
Offering some months rent upfront is now the standard, and not the exception, so bear in mind that it may not necessarily expedite your search. Thanks for the response man |

tshoboy: I will advise you to plan for three weeks. You can start checking houses and booking viewings closer to when you will be around. That could also help in speeding up the process. It’s better to be prudent in this case. Thanks bro. |

tshoboy: Difficult. Are you on a work or student visa? What can you afford and are you willing to pay 3-6 months rent in advance? Do you have anyone in Manchester that can start viewing houses for you before you arrive? All those will determine how soon you can get a place. Hmmn... thanks for your response bro. I'm going with a Skilled Worker Visa. The only person that can view houses for me in Manchester will be travelling 5 days before I travel, so there may not be much advantage there. I want to do Airbnb for 10 days while searching for houses, that's why I'm asking how realistic it is to get a house in a week. |

That's how yesterday one of them was telling me that we Bini people are Yoruba and under them. That Oba is under their king..
There is something somewhere. How can a whole tribe feel so insecure and always want to add other under them?

Please also let me know if I have to source for £ in the black market.
