Joan Laporta (at the 124th anniversary of the club): "It was an important victory because we are already qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions League. I was happy for the culers and for Xavi, because he deserves it. Xavi has gone through difficult times and has overcome it. Cancelo played a great game as Joao Félix. Pedri ran a lot and with Frenkie now we are going to have the ball. We are unbeatable."

Nice words but the unbeatable part is quite out of place at this time.

Wande coal was the biggest loser in that Mohits union; I believe Wande came ahead of his time.

If Wande had joined let's say Mavins or YBNL in this era hen there's so much digital money and record labels spend heavily on promotion, Wande would've made himself and his record label owner billionaires in their own rights with the amount of talent he has.
This is very true. Let's just say his mushin to mohits album released in this kind era, the numbers it would do, he would enjoy good royalties from it. Even all the collaborations they used to do as mo hits then from booty call to you bad to pere he was the standout vocalist. Nobody was close to him in levels of musical talent in that group. Was it a fine voice or good lyrics and mad wordplay. Only few can wordplay like wande. Even when he left mavins after that don jazzy rift he still made waves now compared to the likes of reekado banks, korede bello, Even dbanj was not much better off with his new label.

Jonzing world is a subsidiary of mavins like blueraydick said. They are together as brothers, it's just that don jazzy also adopted rema into his label probably because he foresaw his money making ability.
But rema is even cashing out on a steady well now. No

And the funny thing is that this song was a huge banger then in the clubs and music channels. I know promotion was there of course but people liked the song especially because of it's beat. That pam pam, pam pam pam beat intro is very catchy. There's still one he song again with wack lyrics that he featured dbanj. I think baby come annnnndd, I know you wanna moveee or something grin. Only wande coal and maybe Dr Sid were the ones with real talent in that mo hits then.

You mean Ruger? Rema belongs to Don jazzy.
Both belong to dprince's jonzing world label, dprince was the one that discovered him through his freestyle videos, it's just that don jazzy also took him under his wing to promote him too so it's like he's signed to the two labels unlike Ruger who's only under dprince.

If I want to listen to emo songs I will go back to juice wrld ,he was the only artist that wasn't faking sadness he was truly fighting demons till he died
Juice wrld and xxxtentacion. Very talented emo rappers with sensible lyrics we lost to the wicked hands of death. Them and pop smoke songs are still on repeat till today for me.

As for shallipopi you lost me dawg 😂, can't curse metro boomin and praise that urchin, that nigga is talentless
You say what? Comot body for shallipopi 😁.
That's what I'm saying his lyrics are not something you might want to sit down and think over for some time when the track ends especially as he uses street lingo but the beat and the way he arranges his words will just make one have a good time vibing like several of the top artists in the industry today. Metroboomin is a producer.

na women dey mostly listen to omah lay.
Women like music than us now since they are more emotional creatures that's why artists are one of the few set that mostly get them without much stress in form of groupies or normal relationship. Omah lay songs resonate with a lot of people though. He's had big songs before soso.

I agree the set of new rappers sucks , except for rod wave boy has good lyrics, nice vocals no mumbling bullshit
Nowadays it's the beat and composition that resonate especially with us in our parts of Africa so we can have a good time. A lot of those guys have watery lyrics. Wack pen games. That's one of the reasons I follow my guy shallipopi, his lyrics might look thrash especially to people who don't understand pidgin or street lingua but the production of his songs with nice amapiano beats and his melodies especially the hook still gets him massive fans and airplay. He also pays heavily for promotion.

undecided omah lay na the African version of Billie eilish , overrated.lame emo gimmick.

asake same catchy beat, trash lyrics.

conclusion:- none
He was actually dropping nice love songs before he fully moved into afro emo like I love you, damn, lor lor and One with lyrics of doctor burst my liver. These days people just want to dance and vibe more though that's why you see the likes of metro boomin getting richer by the day in the US cause they can provide crazy production and beats to cover up some of these new generation rappers wack lyrics.

The comparison between the two is valid..I was talking about general music conversation.. Dude's name is scarcely mentioned but he's very good...

My opinion though..
Probably because of his record label and a lesser pr team. We are in the era of you using money and promotions to push your work unlike before, if you drop your song and sit down hoping for a miracle you are on your own.. I have several omah lay songs in my music library as well as others. His afro depression melodies help me to cure my stress when Nigeria and Chelsea tag team to beat me. I just believe asake has gone far.

Asake is selling out stadiums in obodo oyinbo while singing mostly in his mother tongue. He's loved in the UK and US like crazy. Anytime he drops a body of work apple music must have his songs containing at least 3 spots from the 1-6 countdown. When he was being dragged when seyi vibes was also using a similar style of amapiano and choir effect, he switched and sang some songs without those effects and still made waves. Grammy nominee too. Asake within a short time has outpaced omah lay to me. Maybe if omah lay had a mighty record label or push too like asake got from olamide maybe the story might have been different.

Those other countries had robust reserve which saved them. In 2015, three out of the top four producers of crude oil in Africa by their production, Nigeria, Angola, Algeria and Egypt were all in recession. Egypt does not significantly depend on oil but her economy was shattered. Algeria had a foreign reserve balance of $194b in a $156.1b economy in 2015 while your own government had paltry $19b for a $400b economy. Just do your research on the challengers Angola who are the 2nd largest producers of crude oil in Africa passed through during that period because like Nigeria they also had no significant savings.
Good, so the so called loans that were supposedly being brought in from 2015 to 2023 to stabilize as the economy were used for what? 2 odds? Olosho?
And I hope you also know how strong the Egyptian economy currently is? Especially concerning infrastructure and trade. Not everyone has the time for blame games when there is work to do

You just dey yarn immaterial political talking points

Oil budget benchmark is set at $70. Anything above that you save. Someone collected $100 and didn't save, plus still chopped the $22bln saving that was left for him, you are now asking someone that was collecting $25 to $50 to save

No wonder so many Nigerians get surprised and start begging Landlord when rent is due. They have no concept how money works. How long it takes to build savings and how long to get out of debt. They want instant gratification. They have no concept of how their lifestyle for the past 12 months impacted their ability to pay rent on the due date.

All the other stuff you mentioned are immaterial political talking points. Is it Jonathan that didn't ban certain imports, or you think Buhari is sponsor of herdsmen or what, to the point his own hometown is overrun by bandits?
How much did the financial Moses buhari leave as savings for us?
I should not enter him for closing border except for his guys, placing restrictions upon restrictions and insecurity but we can do that for Jonathan even eight years after he left office. Epa well done.👏

Go and look at Venezuela after the oil crash.

Yaradua left $22bln in the Excess Crude Account. The specific stated purpose of that money was to take Nigeria through an oil slump. Okonjo Iweala implemented it under OBJ for that purpose. Jonathan spent it and shared it with Governors which they ate. That's equivalent to more than one years budget then. Government is a continuum.

Billions have been vanishing then and now. Nigerian politicians will never change whether the money is earned or borrowed

But what you care about is your pocket, you don't care about the billions of savings squandered that should protect your future evidently, so let's examine what affects your pocket in the present

What affects your life as common man is (a.) Naira value and (b.) Fuel subsidy

Naira value is controlled by Forex reserves balance which is dependent on oil price

Fuel subsidy is dependent on Government policy and whether Govt is willing to borrow to keep subsidy going.

Buhari was willing to borrow to keep subsidy going and willing for CBN to spend $12bln a year defending Naira. He could not defend it all the way because oil price affected reserves and also demand for Naira

The common man is lucky that Tinubu or Peter Obi did not replace Jonathan in 2015 otherwise they would have made you take the pain fully in 2015 since Jonathan did not leave any savings to cushion the pain like OBJ had left for him. Buhari is a socialist and kept up the standard of living with expensive subsidies and monetary policy within the means available to him. For what concerns the common man (inflation), Buhari actually protected them.

Me, I'm a capitalist with a long term view. I favour the Tinubu and Peter Obi way. Same way Buhari was protecting price of goods at great cost in 1984 until Babangida dropped the pain on them.

You are complaining about the transition in standard of living from Buhari to Tinubu now, same way people complained about transition from Buhari to IBB in 1986.
So with this long term view how much did the financial Moses buhari leave in the forex reserves when leaving? How much was dollar exchanging by the time he left office from the N197 he met that time or should we keep on blaming the fallen oil prices from 2016 too? Someone who his decision to close borders except for his select few cronies impacted heavily regarding inflation especially on food, the rate has jumped from around 8% to what I can't even say now, how did he really perform as regards to insecurity plaguing the nation especially herdsmen killing farmers or those ones don't have any contribution to do too with money going to the foreign reserves?
When other oil and non oil producing countries were trying to bounce back from 2016 and COVID-19, our able president who was making noise in rivers during his first campaign continued his blame game of the past opposition as usual with his boys defending his consistent cluelessness in the media, when others were churning out economic roadmaps or teams to steady the ships of their countries back to a little health ours was dropping restrictions upon restrictions and not removing those clowns emefiele and Zainab ahmed who messed up our fiscal policies? How are they any different from Allison-madueke? grin

All the monies upon monies we have even collected as loans, how much of it was used to stabilize the economy rather than loot and turn the face aside because na my party member so our debt to revenue ratio would not be growing smaller by the day and add to the foreign reserves? well hopefully I'll have japa by the time the Chinese, IMF and world bank come to collect their property.

Jonathan collected loan to pay salaries within 3 months of oil crash so no difference there

Foreign Reserves which affect Naira value and therefore standard of living is not run on loans.
Nigeria was not the only country who faced oil prices slump around the world so? Can we now compare ourselves With some of the other oil explorting nations, some of them who also diversify? With all the loans and so called fight against corruption cock and bull stories it's a little surprising to see we are three times worse than the 7 years Jonathan era of plenty who these clowns campaigned heavily against.
If billions can vanish from a whole national lottery commission where we have a lot of lottery houses and sports betting companies giving them good returns then why should I keep on going to the era of price crashes when lots of monies have been coming into this country with almost nothing except maybe widespread looting to show for it?
