If you're in the science line or know someone in that line among your family and friends, it's good to encourage them to do deep research on the things people call "jazz", "juju", "voodoo".

All these are wrong/misleading terms. They're archaic. The appropriate term is "mysterious".

There's nothing like jazz, juju, voodoo, and the likes. It's either science and technology or superstition (fake).

In the past, a number of gifted individuals that knew key mysteries about nature hid the secrets of their knowledge from the people so those ones could deify and worship them across generations as one god/deity or the other.

Such gifted people were in various cultures around the world, and not only Africa.

One of the tactics those gifted people used in hiding these secrets (the mysteries of nature) from the people was to shroud them in cloaks of spirituality or various metaphysical terms such as "juju", "voodoo", and the likes.

The culture of calling seemingly mysterious phenomena or feats "juju", supernatural or spiritual was established this way, which was passed from one generation to the other.

Sometimes, some of those gifted people, or the priests that built a religion or cult around the gifted people, don't know the secrets behind those extraordinary feats themselves, so they took the easiest route possible: ascribing the phenomena to God.

But it's better to adopt the scientific approach and expose all claims of jazz, juju and the likes to scientific scrutiny so one can separate truth from falsehood, fact from fiction.

However, this (scientific) approach is hard and requires a lot of brainpower, which is why many, especially in Africa, often avoid it in place of the easy approach, the religious paradigm.

Behind many of those feats called "juju", "jazz", "voodoo", and the likes in the native cultures are unknown laws of nature (unexplained science).

If any budding scientist puts in the work and researches them, such a person can make key discoveries that'll help boost their career.

However, one needs to be cautious in this sort of research.
My learned egbon forget. Though I of course believe in the potency of science and the advancement technology has brought to us over the decades I can't argue against voodoo because I've indirectly experienced it. It exists boss though truly they are of course people who have mastered various phenomena to be able to bend it to their own will and instruction like some witch doctors. There might also be a thin line between it and science cause some of these scientific discoveries day by day look like I would say magic to most of us especially the illiterates or non exposed in Africa but as long as the spiritual realm exists, the other realm apart from our physical bodies I can't argue against it's existence boss especially in a lawless and somewhat backward country like ours where some tap into it to perform their various mischiefs.

I lost my mom to the cold hands of death yesterday morning.... Omo I just can't get over this experience. Kai! Since yesterday night I have seen another side of life that I haven't experienced before.
Please accept my condolences bro. I lost my brother this year to sickness and I haven't still gotten over it when I think of the memories so I know a little what it must feel like to lose the only woman who's likely to love you for you. It'll sting you for months but the pain will gradually lessen as time goes by. Please take heart. Ndo.

But when I mentioned this between March and April on this thread about the gang culture in Rivers State, the Rivers Vanguard would have none of it and kept downplaying it even when I was mentioning specific places, times, and dates.
There's a prevailing gang culture in the south south. From Edo to the Niger delta, though I've not lived there but from what I've read and heard with some testimonies from most rivers born I've met the statement might hold true to an extent

Marshall Harry. Rumour has it Odili did not sanction the killing and was shocked when he found out his boys did it.
Yes that's the name marshall Henry anpp south south coordinator. Amaechi was heavily linked with the killing back then since he was one of odili's boys back then doing his dirty work, all those ones that later came out from nowhere to confess they did it didn't deceive everyone. Arrangee thing. PDP was really bloodthirsty back then. Even Obasanjo was later suspected over the years to have given the orders for his assassination though this one looks like a local direct hit. Rivers have mostly been something else when it comes to politics.

That has always been the way in Rivers even long before 2023. Do you know how many people were beheaded in the run up to 2015 elections

Or in 2019 when we saw videos of gunshots for like 30 hrs straight

Even when you trace it back to Odili days

On the scale of violence 2023 might even be the one with least bloodshed in Rivers
Was it Harrison or what's his name that was killed during odili's time? I don't know if that's the correct name. Rivers people are a special breed in that most of them have this certain swagger and confidence that if you cross their parts they'll Bleep you up even their women have it. I've noticed this from my classmates of their origin while growing up with some colleagues when working through the years. Likely hot headed.

I just know there will be a clash between wike and uar presido in the future. You can't stop a pig from bathing in mud even if you use shower to bathe it plenty days of his life. A pig is a pig and it will surely follow his instincts. You finished eight years as a governor and still want to rule the state via proxy after displaying your pomposity in Abuja. Even if simcard goes whosoever that'll come him will still have issues with wike I'm willing to bet on that. Anyways I trust South south people even if you don't want to have craze in your head there will always be people around who will be ready to install it in you.

Now Bastard Ancelotti would have all the excuse he needs to play Kroos as CDM and Camavinga on the bench
But seriously Kroos and modric have to be seeing lesser game time for the younger players. Look at how you guys pushed barka back in the second half when you removed Kroos as the dm. He should be used against small teams but play lesser minutes in the big matches.

We are not the only third world country in the world. Why are those other nations not engaging in Yahoo yahoo and ritual practices? How many other countries have you heard of a boy killing his girlfriend, removing her parts to use for yahoo yahoo. Using poverty as a means to justify that behavior is a no no.
Yahoo yahoo is not only done here. Different form of scamming frauds are done in different black dominated poor countries eg other parts of Africa and the Caribbeans. I don't know where you saw me using poverty to justify that evil boss but just as drug, dealing, militia and kidnapping are prevalent in the Americas. We just heard Luiz Diaz parents were kidnapped this week, the continuous poverty will lead to the most evil vices the get rich fast club can think of in their surrounding area.

Ngannou has never been ko before so why would Tyson put his chin at risk to try to knock him out when one punch could also ko Tyson. The thing na arrangee. All Tyson needed to do was get through the 10 rounds to get the judges decision, even Ngannou knows that. Same way Floyd never put himself at risk against Logan Paul or even Deji. A boxer will never put himself at risk against an amateur once the outcome is known.

Tyson job is simply to give Francis credibility (and future earning power) while walking away with tens of millions without even training. Francis job is to let him win without complaint, thankful for the credibility given to him and for the opportunity to make millions. Na Tyson give am plate to chop otherwise he'll be crawling back to Dana White cap in hand
Well that one dey sha. I see where you're coming from. grin

Usyk is a really smart technician. Most of Fury's advantages would be neutralized apart from size and reach. Very interesting proposition and yeah, he had better take it seriously.
That's why im quite confident boss in usyk stunning him even before his fight with ngannou. To be honest furry has benefited from the heavyweight division being somewhat of a mess. This guy won't have lasted two fights with a George foreman, joe Frazier or iron mike Tyson. Even the two Klitschko brothers. Did this guy not even lose a sparring session to AJ when they were younger? I would like to know what big booty bitch that judge that called 96-93 is going to spend his loot on in the coming week. This is even a bigger fix than Canelo vs GGG part 1.

Nah, Tyson is on holiday. Ngannou will get a shock against a heavyweight that takes him serious. Tyson didn't even land a single body shot
But it's still surprising he was able to last the ten rounds boss. Almost everybody predicted ngannou to be knocked out by round 4 or 5. We are talking about a man who just fought his first pro boxing bout today against an unbeaten 34 wins 1 draw collosus, The Best in the heavyweight division. The difference was always going to be there boss. Ngannou even won this man self if not for ojoro. 😡

What we have always heard is that Ngannou's chin is tough and he proved it today. Based on that i agree with you cos Wilder's chin doesn't appear as durable.

Fury should stop messing around and face Usyk.
Yes boss, also coupled with the fact that wilder 's stamina is not the best alongside his reckless tactics with him swinging wild fists to end the bout early. I just saw the official date will be fixed for usyk once fury's wound heals up. Fury should get ready cause usyk is very cunning despite the height difference.

Wetin pain me be say the world was robbed of Ngannou's boxing prime. His boxing fundamentals are actually better than someone like Wilder's. With proper training earlier on he would have been a problem.
I am ready to wager a considerable amount he would floor wilder. He overperformed on this pro boxing debut and his hands are the real hands of stone as witnessed time and time again in UFC. Fury should better take this as a warning because I know my boy usyk has jotted down some tips.
