Azikiwe in GEJ 's name has confused a lot of ndi Igbo. In Nigeria today the highest nunber of supporters GEJ has come from Igbo land. Some say Enugu airport forgetting that it was awarded by Yar'Adua. Ndi Igbo ve benefited appointment of ministers just like every other parts of the country. Could GEJ had trusted onye Igbo for oil if she's not his own Ijaw sister? Then if he has been nice to ndi Igbo I want to see a man from Igboland become oil minister or NNPC MD? I hope to see one refinery in Igbo land? Don't forget that Obasanjo appointed Iweala fin minister, Soludo CBN, Akunyili NAFDAC, Ezekwesili due process minister etc. Look at how GEJ disgraced Ogbulafor, Nwodo as PDP chair but appointed Tukur immediately he was removed. How many federal roads in S/E is repaired. I ll like to get u know that the position of Anyim has no impact on Igbo development except cracking his voice for GEJ second term and hope to continue as the Chief of the civil servants, specialist in keeping civil servants' files. The dredging of lower river niger was awarded by Yar'adua to open up Nigeria economy to other parts of Nigeria but today we can only hear about from media.
My anger at most of your most of lies won't allow me to respond to most of these wicked publications of yours...Akanu Ibiam airport has been an issue of campaign for long especially under Obj but was fulfilled by GEJ...Who in the history of Nigeria ever made an Igbo man COAS except GEJ...check yourself biko....don't allow hatred & falsehood ruin your life....Go and check NNPC management now and come back for a chat....did Nwodo not leave due to his issues of local politics from Enugu between him and Chime? so who disgraced who? how did he disgrace ogbulafor?...refinery in Igbo land? did he build in bayelsa? or anywhere else? are we not talking of privatisation? anambra already invested in orient petroleum... what else? ....check out Nigerian system, most of the key economic portfolios belong to Igbo presently....kindly research plz....stop lying... quit hating....avoid propaganda and cheap blackmail....

PoliticsIs President Goodluck Jonathan Really This Clueless & Incompetent? by Whynotthetruth(op): 3:28pm On Nov 15, 2014
Having moved from grass to grace, he was once an education inspector, lecturer, environmental-protection officer, deputy governor, governor, vice president, acting president and now president.
Having been president of this complex, sensitive, resilient, and dynamic country for like six years now and seeking re-,election; which I support fully for the success I believe he achieved in his first term. Even if the opposition refutes all his achievement; which I am yet to read any constructive criticism of the ones he listed on his declaration day, NOBODY can deny the fact that he allowed our democracy to grow and our electoral system improved. At least, they can express their opinion freely without harassment no matter how flawed and skewed the opinion. And they can win elections too(Osun state par example). That's a great achievement. If you doubt me, ask those who experienced the military era.##nothing sweet pass freedom oo##
The opposition which by reason of their use of foul languages and seeming lack of respect for presidency; a position they hope to occupy one day: I can aptly describe better as; "Haters" have adjudged him as both "clueless" & "incompetent".
For these set of haters of GEJ, I most humbly ask these questions;
1)Is he clueless and incompetent, yet his government has not being hijacked by anyone especially knowing how power hungry our politicians are?
2) Is he clueless yet under him, Nigeria has been elected to UN security council twice in quick succession for the first time in our history? Or are those who voted us under him clueless too?
3) Is he clueless and incompetent, yet was able to assemble one of the best team of ministers in our history? Mind you these ministers have a REPUTATION & INTEGRITY to protect. Or where they clueless to allow him him ruin their life long and hard earned reputation? Mind you, they are a mirror of the person they represent. Imagine people who aren't career politicians like; Okonjo-Iweala, Akinwumi Adesina, Chinedu Nebo et al
4) Is he really daft and has achieved what most of our parents never dreamed of, talk more achieving? If its just mere luck, are you just implying that others are cursed whereas him alone can be this lucky out of over 160million people?
5) Is he daft, clueless and incompetent as they say, and have achieved what I pray and hope to achieve in future that my children can proudly point to me as a hardworking dad?
6) Is clueless and daft yet Nigeria hasn't collapsed irrespective of her security challenge? Which to me, we help to fan its embers by our uninformed criticisms and propaganda. Remember, lies and propaganda are the greatest weapon of terrorists to inject fear and destabilize the society.
7) Is he clueless and incompetent really? Because if that's the new criteria for success, what stops me from becoming so too to achieve such quantum of success both in personal, public and leadership positions?
cool Is he really a failure that even international organizations like IMF, FAO, et al have all rated us and our economy high under GEJ? or are they clueless and incompetent organizations too?
9) Is he really clueless, daft, a failure, and incompetent?
Constructive and Objective comments will be appreciated please...You can as well add other areas of his "clueless, daft, failure, and incompetent" life or governance and reasons why you think so with alternative or better way to do it...thanks in advance!!!

embarassed embarassed

Dear President Jonathan,
I have watched you in the last one year jump from pillar to post under the pretext of governance; clinging to the inconsequential and deliberately ignoring that which the times demand of governance in today’s Nigeria. From the moment you were sworn in as an elected president, it’s been a galore of gaffes and conscious distraction of Nigerians from the things that actually do matter to them.

Within weeks of your presidency, your first executive move was to amend the constitution so as to allow for president and governors to serve just one term of six years in office. Not sooner than the dust raised by that move settled, you declared an economic war on the Nigerian people with an imposition of fuel tax, called fuel subsidy removal, which was just a way designed for you to avoid confronting your friends and officials who defrauded the country you preside over.

Mr President, you may recall that October 2 years ago, during a church service to commemorate Nigeria’s Independence Day, you lamented that we condemn you at home while Obama commends you abroad. Even then, we argued that Obama’s commendation of you – whatever it was meant to achieve – was ill-timed and ill- informed. We reasoned that we were the ones who elected you our president and so were best qualified to assess your performance in office. Today, the table has turned. Does Obama still commend you? Just in case you haven’t heard, the United States government has seen you for whom you are – a president who presides over a criminal empire without making any meaningful efforts to curtail corruption.

Before you dismiss my message as another baseless rant from a disgruntled opposition member, well, you are wrong sir as I voted for you in the last elections without compromising.

I will go straight again to your last year's Democracy Day speech. As expected, it could not boast of any visible achievement other than economic indices and statistics that were quite divorced from the stark realities on ground. You showed an amazing excitement when you announced your administration’s empowerment of 1200 youths who benefitted from your Youth Enterprise with Innovative Programme, YouWin. I was surprised that such was considered an achievement by you Sir let alone being included in your anniversary speech. Mr President, may I humbly inform you that 70 per cent of the Nigerian population is comprised of people who are thirty five years and below? Each year, Sir, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) churns out at least 100 thousand young Nigerians who throng into the labour market in search of nonexistent jobs. This is in spite of the fact that a larger percentage of those who passed out before them may not have gotten jobs. So why should we be excited about 1200 people in a population of 170 million? Is it a deliberate celebration of mediocrity or just an attempt to appear serious with the job we elected you to do?

In reference to electricity supply, you said, “By mid-2010, the national power output was about 2, 800 MW. By the end of 2011, we reached a peak of more than 4, 000 MW. A National Gas Emergency Plan has also been launched to redress the problem of gas supply which are essentially due to poor planning.”

Curiously, you didn’t tell us where we were by end of May, or mid-May this year, the period you were reeling out the your achievements. So I ask now, Mr President, where are we on power generation? How many megawatts have we achieved between 2011 and mid-May, 2014?

Where we are on electricity generation, Mr President, is on the region of total darkness. The wattage is negligible. Nauseating sound of generators still buzz in my neighbourhood daily, and darkness is the light in the villages where poverty even bites harder. That must be why you jumped it.

The efforts you put in advertising your cassava bread, if not tragic, would have been funny. You cannot re-write history Sir, Cassava bread is not novel. grin Your constant efforts to lay claim to it as your achievement in office is worrisome. For the records, on 1st July, 2005, Obasanjo’s government made it mandatory for bakers to include 10% of cassava flour in the production of bread. I followed that administration closely. Yet even at that ,you cannot force people to eat what they do not want. Telling us you eat it makes no difference in our lives. Our billions are stolen by the day, anyway; and you watch without taking any punitive action against the criminals.

Your penchant for majoring in minor, if not entirely irrelevant issues, should worry every sound mind. Your change of my school, Unilag to MKO Abiola University just by a.presidential fiat betrayed your love for vanity; your lack of appreciation for substance. And as expected, it stirred up eruptions in the school. Yet rather than quickly reconsider your stand, you declared to many who think you made another gaffe; “no going back”. I know political expediency informed that decision. But unfortunately, that was politically incorrect.
It has boomeranged, and will not shield you from the harsh verdict of your critics, which is that your years in office as president was a total failure.

It was a shock to me that you ended your speech without making any mention of the fuel subsidy scam – the biggest in Nigeria’s history. You said nothing about your plans to prosecute the offenders meanwhile you're wallowing with them in the fraud. If that is not weighty enough to cause you to act, I wonder what will. Should I mention the abducted girls? Should I mention the porous security? I dont need to bother sir.

You could see, Mr President, that I didn’t have time to pretend about the message I wanted to pass across. You already have enough praise singers to last you a lifetime. Pardon my directness, it was meant to deliver the message in a manner you will be stirred to act.

Do have a great day, Sir. I hope the domestic staff will remember to not prepare imported rice for this your occasion. Kindly remind them of your “resolve to always eat local rice”. Today should be for Abakaliki or Ofada.

And lest I forget; happy declaration Mr President!

Williams.
First, as the writer rightly observed, its the ranting of a disgruntled opposition. What proof has he that he voted for GEJ? He seems so much confused because from his writeup he is neither for subsidy removal or sustenance... He's just grappling with chaff...Better put, this write up qualifies as the "will" of dying confused ape. What has changed about GEJ between then and now? Why doe this Metuh always speak as if he is from Mars and drunk? Firstly, Jonathan's "declaration" was a foregone conclusion that did not surprise anyone. Secondly, Metuh is not deaf or blind. He would have noted the underwhelming response worldwide to Jonathan's declaration to understand that his boss has lost goodwill and 'traction home and abroad.

Balanced observer worldwide agree that Nigeria is drifting badly and they completely understand that it is pointless to seek nothing other than the dismissal of a President who has shown conclusively, over 5 years, that he brings far more problems than solutions. Metuh has to confront this reality yet he is a man consumed by the largesse he is enjoying courtesy of the current Government he serves. He must then defend that government by continuing to fool GEJ into thinking Mr.President is "feared" and popular when the reality is ridiculously different. Metuh's pathetic attempt at rudimentary spin just mirrors the sycophantic immorality and brazen dishonesty afflicting Nigerian politics today.
First bro, Metu is not an employee of government hence not answerable to GEJ...Secondly, did you see the crowd at GEJ declaration? Does it show a non-performing president not loved by his own people? Can you objectively counter his achievements these past years? Let's see your candidate's blueprint for a new Nigeria to check if its better than GEJ's...

Nigerians are not foolish Mr president.
Sir, what's the aim of presidential or executive pardon?
Do you know about the different tiers of government?
If you do, do you know about their independence/autonomy?
If you do, how's it the President's job to convict offenders?
Are you aware that an accused person remains innocent until convicted by court of competent jurisdiction?
Where you in Nigeria during the subsidy brouhaha?
If you were, do you think that if GEJ wanted to loot, he would have opted for subsidy removal as he did?
Do you really expect the presidency to feed and entertain foreign heads of government and diplomats with what?
Do you believe GEJ wanted those youths dead?
Don't you think that his agricultural initiative, automotive policy, improved FDI, local content initiative in oil & gas sector etc are all helping the youths?
Are the industrial actions as a result of his recklessness?
As a patriotic Nigerian that I believe you are; should you blame the President or the insurgents?
Are you supposed to join him in the fight against terrorists or join the terrorists in instilling fear in the citizenry?
Where is our conscience?

I think it behoves on the opposition to constructively refute these claims of Mr President if they have doubts. Let's play politics of ideas and issues and not victimization and calumny. To me, I believe he's done creditably well and deserves a second term. His GREATEST achievement is allowing opposition to grow with their dissenting and sometimes nauseating idea of criticizing everything. That alone deepens our democracy. Let the minority have their say and the majority their way.
