How on earth will this INEC ever get it right? Which one be latest Wednesday? How long does it take to collate and forward results for announcements? How long did it take Jega to announce the results 4yrs ago? Are we supposed to progress or regress as a nation?
Please INEC, Nigerians have better things to do with thier time than to sit beside the radio for many days just for you to announce the next president.
This is just too much, we will not take it.

Sowore, so sorry for the disappointment, Professor Soyinka wouldn't want votes to be divided, there's a collective push to vote out tyranny.
Endorsements from him wouldn't still get you 50k votes so why waste the precious little vote that may just be the difference to get Nigeria working again.

Noted bro. Will definitely implement what you advised going forward. Thank you so much. okenwa101: Bros, I understand you well (am a designer as well) and at start you learn the hard way but never again. Always watermark or put an easy fix mistake or deliberate error (maybe reduce resolution and always on JPG for a sample show through email so you could have evidence. But all in all pay before soft copy. |

You couldn't have said it any better. I gave them the soft copy all in a bid to protect future business with them. I knew they will never get a better offer than what I gave. It's quite unfortunate. But they'll pay, whether they like it or not. The10thMan: Caution is needed truly especially because entrepreneurs do not want to spoil future business opportunities. It is a classic situation that a lot of businesses in Nigeria use. They know most entrepreneurs will not want to spoil business relationships/future prospects because of one that ''simply went sour''. So the question is when does one go all out for battle? And how are you sure it wont linger for a while should it become a legal issue?
It a callousness that many entrepreneurs have to deal with, especially in Nigeria where laws are not modern and not fully enforced. |

OdiaI: They are wrong for not paying you. But I suggest you apply caution in the matter. I hate when things turn out this way. I hope you get your payment from them. I hope they pay up soon else, they'll pay much bigger in the long run. I don't understand how they think they can advertise their company for a whole year without paying for the design of the advert material. Funny. |

AgentGoat: Mtchew..
Why did you give them the soft copy without pay first? My brother, when you're new in business, you tend to trust big companies you're dealing with, I just realised they are looking for avenues to take advantage of people they are working with. Sometimes, you have to learn the hard way. Can't make this type of mistake anymore. |
Business › Re: If You're Not Ready For Heartbreaks, Never Start Up A Business by whytediamond(m): 7:02pm On Jan 31, 2019 |
lele007: It is at this point that you should have insisted on pay, before handing over the copy. Or at least a promissory or IOU. If you have the right evidence, it's an easy case to win in court. Do you have evidence they received the copy from you? Yes, I have evidence. The raw file is in my laptop, I transferred the file to thier flash drive. They can't reproduce the original work. I acted on blind trust, never knew I was dealing with a fraudulent multi-million naira company. |
Business › Re: If You're Not Ready For Heartbreaks, Never Start Up A Business by whytediamond(m): 6:33pm On Jan 31, 2019 |
I have a very funny and annoying case I'm dealing with right about now.
A company contacted me to design calendars for 2019 for them. After 2weeks of designing and countless tweaking plus product photo sessions, it got to the print stage and I suddenly the company said they can't pay the amount I requested for the print job.
I said OK fine, this is the soft copy of the job, get a printer to do the printing for less than what I offered, they went ahead and printed elsewhere even though the manager later confirmed they paid more for the printing compared with what I offered.
Now, the issue is this, I need my money for my intellectual property and time put into the design for calendar that they have already shared to their customers. To my greatest shock, I was told I won't be paid a dime.
What is their reason for not paying me? That I wasn't the one that printed the job, hence I won't be paid for the design. Like wtf are they talking about.
I'm already getting legal advice on how to recover my money from them.
Starting up a business ain't child's play people. Perseverance will surely pay in the long run. Stay focused, don't give up. |
