I am new on this thread but i want to encourage someone today with words from my daily devotional rhapsody of reality.

Even as we are TTC our confidence in the word of God must be unshakable. It may be difficult but continue to act your faith in the word and you will always win. In Philippians 4:6 the bible says 'Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let you request be made known unto God'

The prayer section further says "Now more than ever, i am assured of victory, success and the glory life because your word says so. My life is a daily manifestation of the supernatural, because you have made me an overcomer; winning is my life style in Jesus name'

I have been TTC for 17months now, it hasn't been easy but this words have encouraged me and i thought to share so that it may encourage someone.

2018 is our year

Mine was in ph too but in a private hospital.
It's obviously an infection and u were dilating unknowingly. But because these hospitals are usually over crowed, attention is very poor.

Mine was detected and I was placed on drugs which I took but wasn't responding to the drug. Went back to complain but I was told to rest and take enough water,t hen come back when the obgyn will be around( he only comes on a particular day). Got there on the consulting day and obgyn said labour has been triggered already and cannot be stopped. I watched my baby take her last breaths there on the bed, no NICU services, besides, her lungs weren't even developed enough by then.

I understand you perfectly sis, because I have walked that path.
I know you will take in soon. Just be more careful with the next. Use the teaching hospital. For me, I registered in 2 places. Yes choba is far, with all the plenty plenty bottlenecks, but the advantage is availability of a obgyn any time you get there. Asides that, after my first experience I swore that one doctor won't handle my case next time. With the teaching hospital, I meet a lot of them, they rub mind together and all that. Eg. I asked one about cerclage considering my history and he educated me properly about it. Even took me to a senior doctor who after asking about my history told me I don't need it. But to be on a safe side, he recommended TVs to monitor length of cervix every 2 weeks and i should call in if I notice anything.
So far. Everything seems good so I haven't even gone there for a while. Still using the private for my routine drugs and checks. On my own, I do urine culture before any antenatal just to be sure am clear and nothing will ever trigger labour till 38weeks.

Do your part, Give yourself time to heal, be more involved, leave the rest to God.

To the first miscarriage - we conclude it was strong herbs.
On the 2nd miscarriage, it could be cervical incompetence or infection. I hope you took antibiotics after that experience. I would advise you go for infection test to make sure u are clear before any further thing. Hope you are not having leaking breast milk.

I say it again, port Harcourt lack good hospitals. Maybe they are waiting when ppl start suing them before they sit up.

When u take in again, start antenal early and be prayerful.

Did the docs tell u why the 6months preterm?
Was it incompetent cervix?

You need to know the cause of your previous miscarriages to know how to move forward.
I will advise you do hormonal assay. Also the docs should monitor you well when next you take in.
