APPRECIATION POST

I want to first of all thank Almighty Father and His son Jesus Christ for granting us safe delivery. We did not lose any mother, and for our lovely teamie, FlowerGirl040, just know that your bun is already in the oven and this time, the Good Lord will perfect all that concerns you.

I want to use this opportunity to thank all February mamas for their support from day one I was made cappo. I really love and appreciate you all.

For answering to roll calls and submitting your BAs and BSs even when it wasn't convenient for you. A good number of February mamas submitted their BSs thereby keeping the forum lively and helping other mamas learn one or two things.
For all these and many more, I say thank you!

We didn't hear from mom2be and bayobabe. I hope you mamas are fine. I'm handing you over to Kokaiye, March Cappo.

Finally, thank you to all the great mothers in the forum, you all are amazing. And may you all have easier and faster deliveries than we did.

My dear,my God is indeed a miracle working God,he answered me when I let go and let him take control,prayed to give birth at 38weeks, he answered. Wanted a girl so badly and He showed up again. Am a living testimony that God indeed works in mysterious ways. If I begin to count how blessed I have been through out this pregnancy period,I can't really tell it all. It has been God,and I return all glory to Him. I use to hear about His wonderful deeds,and I can now confidently say am a living witness.

So the did the 9VE and discovered i was almost there. Before I knew what was happening, the strong poo urge don start to the hit me back to back,I hear am oh and I cry oh who pretense hep. Matron say oya make I do the poo wey the disturb me,na him I start to push oh,before I could say pim,baby have comot.
Got the shocker of my life,na baby girl oh. My joy knew no bounds. I was even arguing tell them I was told is a boy.

Good morning my good people of nairaland. As I type these now, my wife is in FMC asaba she was admitted since yesterday. Her BP is 140/100 and the doctors carried a urine test on her, they saw protein in the urine. According to her, the doctor told her the protein is 1 percent. Now the doctor is talking about terminating the baby which we refuse. I dont base in Nigeria, because of this baby, I have to spend 5 months in Nigeria just to make sure everything is fine. Please guys is terminating the baby the only options for us. I need this baby so badly. Help me and my wife.

It's true that HPB is bad in pregnancy, but that 140/100 is my common BP even while taking BP drugs in pregnancy. My BP only normalizes as I enter 3rd trimester. I never had any complications during delivery as a result of BP. The first CS I had was cos baby was stuck at 8cm. The second was because I didn't give gap after the first CS.
What I'm trying to say is that with proper management and monitoring, your wife will get to carry the baby to term. Please seek another doctor's opinion.

Forgive all errors. I typed all this feeling sleepy and i can"t reread abeg. Senior mamas, i dey vex for una shaa. If bs has been flying around here as it has always been, i would have been better prepared about what to expect with this totally different experience.

Thanks for your BA and BS mama. We thank God for you. You are right, Birth story helps other mamas learn one or two things as no two pregnancies are the same. I'm happy February mamas are doing well in that regard.

I agree with you. 4 years is enough time for healing. People are giving birth through VD after 2 years of CS.

My Birth Story
I had my first baby April 2017,after ttc , it took me four years+ to conceive again, after a missed miscarriage at 7weeks.
This pregnancy was different eh, morning sickness showed me pepper but In all I thank God it ended in praise. approaching my edd my doctor said I should choose date for my elective CS because of previous SCAR, I choose FEB 9TH But on the 31st of January I started having contractions I timed it. it was 10 to 15 minutes apart. On the 1st of FEB WE headed to the hospital , I was checked the Dr said I'm 4cm by 6am the next day I was 6cm but the refused to hasten labour reason been I had previous SCAR and I have been booked for CS , they left me unattended to because I refuse to do CS I was progressing very well but still they wanted to tear me up. my hubby pited me because I was wallowing in pains when contraction came and so he signed consent form,i was wheeled to the theater and they brought out my damsel. I don't pray for my enemy to use that hospital. all the care about is money with VERY POOR QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.

So sorry about what you had to go through, teamie. You are right, once they have booked you for CS and you want to try VD, they will leave you to your fate. It's so sad they couldn't help you seeing that you had 4+ gap after your first baby.
The same thing happened when I had my second baby. And I had not had any CS before then o. They just said they worry cos I had fibroid. Meanwhile the fibroid has always been small and never in the way. I even had 2 VD deliveries with it. In all, we thank God that we are alive with our babies. Thanks for submitting your BS.

Finally I have the privilege to share my birth story.

For the privilege of testimony and thanksgiving, Quick throwback to 2018.

The Dr. said it is not too high that we should be doing early morning sun therapy but if after her 3 weeks and she is still showing high, we will have to do phototherapy in the hospital.

I am doing exclusive for her and poops each time she sucks but the texture of the poop doesn't seem ok to me. Always watery

Sorry about what you are through teamie. Please, don't be overwhelmed with the jaundice and colic. I experienced the same with my son, but continuous early morning sun for about 5 days did wonders.

I also gave him water that I added glucose cos of the vitamin D in the glucose. And I bought Abidec for the same reason. But I didn't even use all these for more than a week cos by the time I went back for test, the bilirum was almost nonexistent.

It's a good thing the number is low now, don't be carried away by the yellow eyes cos that's the last thing to clear and takes longer than the skin. So, if the skin colour is changing from yellow to normal colour, then you will know it's working.

Don't panic sweetheart, take it one day at a time and soon, you won't even remember all the stress you went through.

for the first CS line you had, they usually take out the scar from the previous incision, as in they cut it out totally, that was what the Dr's in my private hospital and even in GH explained when i asked how previous scar will be managed or if they will make a new incision, so probably why you didn't see the previous scar anymore.

Till today I am still looking for my incision site. I walk around in my house with my bare tummy and my cribs still doubt that I birthed my lo with CS.
I was delivered of my baby on a Wednesday, starting walking the next day though not easy and discharged on Friday. It added to their confusion. They expected me to stay more days. Lastly my stomach is so flat now even when I don't use girdle.
Good technology is good biko.

Yes sister, CS has moved to another level.

For anyone wondering about the stitchless stitches for CS, it's true. Good hospitals in Nigeria do it now and it's so neat you will almost not be able to tell that a CS was carried out. That's what I got with this second CS and I didn't even know about it until I checked the incision site and was wondering why there was no stitch line.
In fact, the doc even covered the first CS stitch line I had with my second baby that was not looking nice.

Abeg, technology good mbok. Ask questions and if the hospital has it, take the opportunity if you're opting for CS.
