President, NMA, Dr. Francis Faduyile, has called on the federal government to close border against countries with high cases of coronavirus. Faduyile said that the time has come for the country to close its border against countries with a high level of coronavirus infection.

He noted that if coronavirus gets loose in the country, Nigeria will suffer for it, “the time has come for us as a country to take decisive action. I can tell you, if coronavirus gets loose in this country, the whole of Nigeria will suffer for it.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday reserved its ruling on the All Progressives Congress’ application for the review of its judgment which nullified the party’s victories in the general elections held in 2019 in Zamfara State.

A five-man panel of the apex court led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, said the date of the ruling would be communicated to the parties.
The CJN made the announcement after the parties to the case concluded their submissions on the application on Tuesday.

Ohanaeze Youth Council(OYC), the apex Igbo socio-cultural youth body, has described the newly introduced Armed Forces Bill in the National Assembly as an invitation of coup d’etat against civilian Presidents.

The Igbo group cautioned members of the National Assembly on the implications of the proposed Armed Forces Bill by the Senate if passed into law.
Ohanaeze Youth opined that the bill, if allowed to stand, would truncat Nigeria democracy as the contents of the proposed legislation seeks to wrest the sacred Powers and authority conferred on the President.

A Bayelsa State political group has called for the immediate Resignation of the Senator Representing Bayelsa East in the Nigerian Senate, Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo.

David Lyon and Degi were both sacked a day to their inauguration by the Apex Court as governor and deputy governor respectively over certificate forgery by the Senator.

A member of the Group, Dr. John Idumange who made this known via a post on the Group’s Facebook Page, called on the Senator to resign.

The emir, while making his remarks shortly after he received his letter of appointment, had to pause awhile to control his emotion. He said the people of Bichi showed him real love, respect and support while he was their emir.

President Muhammadu Buhari has no involvement whatsoever in the dethronement of HRH Muhammadu Sanusi II from the position of Emir of Kano. All such insinuations are untrue, malicious and politically motivated.

The President does not have a history of intervening in the affairs of any state in the country, unless the issue at hand is of national consequence. On such matters which impinge on national security, he has a duty of involvement as the law stipulates.

Suspected kidnappers on Monday night abducted four Rufus Giwa Polytechnic graduates on their way to Zamfara State for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp, it was learnt on Tuesday.

The victims made up of three male and a female were kidnapped around Funtua in Katsina State at about 11:30pm by armed men who laid a siege to the road.
As a result of this action, security officials renewed their advice to commuters to avoid night travels especially in areas where there are security threats.
