Politics / Re: Nigeria May Shut Down Internet As #EndSARS Protests Continue - The Guardian by williaam(m): 9:19pm On Oct 14, 2020
A very funny govt we have in Africa, one has to right to protest. They should even be happy that it has no degenerate into a full blown war; revolutions in other place were cause by trivial thing; eg the French Revolution was because the women could not afford to buy bread; and the Glorious Revolution in Great Britain againt machine replacing humans in the work place and the rest is history.

History always repeat itself with different state actors. Its quite interesting that in a country like Nigeria, no official statement from the number citizen; anyway 'a people deserves the type of government they get' guess that's our case.
Health / Re: LIVING With SCD(Sickle Cell Disease). by williaam(m): 1:19am On Sep 17, 2020
Nice work @ op.
SCD is seen as a death sentence in Africa; and Nigeria has d highest number of SCD patients in d world. Am a warrior too, 34 years, living with SCD, is not funny at all, although i have not experienced much crisis but the last two i experience were life threatening. One in 2010; i was in 300l then in school, missed all my 2nd semester exams and i had an extra semester in school becos of dat, i even explained to d HOD; he just said dat there was nothing he can do, dat i should go an prepare for an extra semester. While the 2nd crisis happened during my NYSC period; because of that i was redeployed from Imo State back to Lagos State.
Its not been easy living with SCD; cos everyday u expect a miracle but what many of us don't understand is dat being alive is a miracle; pls let no one take dat away from you. I believe more can be done about the plight of SCD patients in Nigeria, i hope there could be a re-orientation about SCD; because many people are ignorant about the pain we face

Its not worth it bro, being a sickler is like a death sentence in africa, from my own experience it would cost ur children(child) a lot of pain, like discriminations; for my it cost me a semester in the uni; expect u are financially capable i would advise u dnt try it, cos as at 2010 it cost minimum #50,000 per month to medically take care of a sickler. For miracle it might never come. Thats my 2cent advice to u
Health / Re: Coronavirus: First Patients Injected In UK Vaccine Trial by williaam(m): 9:38am On Apr 24, 2020
Good, the West again coming to the aid of Africa; the oldest human civilization. My opinion has always been that this pendemic is a reviewer of many things. To mention a few, a dilapidated health care system due to neglect, a senseless govt whose policies is pro north, a religious system deprive of love that differentiate btw people on the basis of vulnerability and a useless university system made up of useless old professors and doctors who have nothing significant to offer but to keep banging ladies in their departments instead of focusing on research

Only God can help us.
But wait o; wat abt our researcher aint they working too to get a vaccine for dis. Is the burden only on other scientists elsewhere to get a cure for this. What a pity...

The question now is which ethnic tribe will be handed the next presidential ticket come 2023! Judging by the work don to secure his reelection I see this man giving the ticket to the Hausa/Fulani born to rule syndrome people o
Politics / Re: Reno Omokri Reacts As PDP Rejects Presidential Election Results by williaam(m): 10:14pm On Feb 25, 2019
This election is done and dusted. The question is Which tribe or ethnic group will be given the presidential ticket come 2023; because I feel no one tribe deserved it; cos West no clear winning for the incumbent, South East and South South; abysmal outing for the incumbent, while in the North he won there. So using this logic I see the presidential ticket of the APC being given to a Northern. My opinion though

Seems the African democratic system is very lucrative for the politicians. Seems the 1999 constitution was in favor of the elitist class. It is a common saying that when two Elephants fight its the grass that suffers it; guess u have not also considered that when two Elephants plays it is the grass that suffers also. I feel the Nigerian youth have been very passively engages in the polity. One thing that would be great if we can achieve as a country is to make politics and public office seem very unattractive financially; then we can congratulate ourselves as a Nation. The struggles continues

God go punish anybody that's say that Buhari is not corrupt. Has he declared his assets after his resumption of power. "He that must come to equity must come with clean hands"; has that been the case under Buhari. Let's just have a credible election and see who win.

We need food that is the cry on the street. How can this government solve that situation. The common man has no means to livelihood; it was not like this 4years back. How time changes everything. No plan for this government, u need another 4 years to provide jobs, to provide power, to ensure lives and properties etc. U failed the 1st 4 years; how am I sure u will be able to fixed those things in another 4 year? That is the the question

Of all people, its tinubu. I pity this country. A country where the man on the street cannot afford 3 square meal. I weep for the destiny of Nigeria. Have we ever dared to ask this politicians about their manifesto. To me I think one could achieve great things within the space of 4 years. Let's all get our PVC ready and do the needful. Next level abi na No level.
