Senior Minister in Charge of Evangelical Church for Winning All, ECWA, Goodnews Church, Gonin Gora, Rev. Nehemiah Bature, has said that Christians have lose faith in the APC led government due to its leadership negligence on the spate of killings by herdsmen across the country. Rev. Bature stated this recently, when the church observed a peaceful protest to register its grievances on the continuous killings of Christian in the Northern part of the Country as directed by CAN President, Rev. Dr. Supo Oyekunle. Other issues, which necessitated the protest includes; the abduction of the Dapkchi schools girls, Leah Shaiubu, the remaining Chibok girls still in the captivity of Boko Haram, nepotism in the present Buhari led federal government, appointment of government officials with no regard to Federal Character, as well as call for restructuring. Twitter has advice all its users worldwide to change their password The company announced on Thursday it discovered a bug that saved user passwords unprotected on an internal log. Twitter said it has since fixed the issue. Although the company said there is no evidence passwords have been leaked or misused, it is urging its users to update their passwords. Senator Dino Melaye has been released after been held for hours by the NIS The senator representing Kogi West was arrested and detained at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Monday, on his way out of the country. Students of the tertiary institutions in Ekiti State under the aegis of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) , have disassociated themselves from an alleged plan by the NANS zone D to stage an anti-government protest. Some unidentified gunmen on Sunday abducted Mr Gabriel Odu-Orji, the Cross Rivers Commissioner for Water Resources at Effionawan street in Mayne Avenue area of Calabar South. An eye witness, Mr James Ibri, told our correspondent that five gunmen came in a blue Audi car and picked Odu-Orji away as he stepped down to eat in a restaurant. Ibri said that the gunmen dropped their car and ordered the Commissioner into his Prado Jeep and drove away with him. Germany has deported to Nigeria, an alleged Islamic extremist, an ISIS suspect, deemed dangerous by authorities. He is a German citizen, not Nigerian. The German news agency, dpa reports that the 22-year-old man, who was born in Germany and who hadn’t committed a crime, arrived in Lagos Thursday. The unidentified man was one of two detained in February in Goettingen during an investigation of suspected attack plans. His partner is a 27 year-old Algerian. Both of them lived with their parents in Göttingen. Prof. Is’haq Oloyede, the Registrar, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has announced the suspension of the mock examination that was billed to hold today. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday advocated a spiritual approach to the anti-corruption crusade in Nigeria, calling on the church to wield its influence against the menace. Obasanjo made the call in Abeokuta at the 2017 Convention Lecture of the Victory Life Bible Church International. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched a manhunt for the owner of N448.85 million discovered in a shopping plaza in Lagos State, spokesman of the commission in Lagos, Mr. Sam Amadin said. A relatively large asteroid discovered nearly three years ago will pass “very close” to Earth on April 19, U.S. space agency NASA has said. The space rock, known as 2014 JO25, is estimated to be 2,000 feet (650 meters) in size. It’s expected to fly by Earth at a safe distance of about 1.1 million miles (1.8 million kilometers), or about 4.6 times the distance from Earth to the moon. The United States expelled 35 Russian diplomats and closed two Russian compounds in New York and Maryland in response to a campaign of harassment against American diplomats in Moscow, a senior U.S. official said on Thursday. The move against the diplomats from the Russian embassy in Washington and consulate in San Francisco is part of a series of actions announced on Thursday to punish Russia for a campaign of intimidation of American diplomats in Moscow and interference in the U.S. election. A Katsina State High Court sitting in Funtua on Thursday sentenced Mu’ammar Tukur, son of former District Head of Bakori, to death by hanging for culpable homicide. Tukur, 32, whose late father represented Bakori/Danja Federal Constituency at Federal House of Representatives, was convicted for using knife to stabbed Shafir Muktar to death. In his judgment, Justice Abbas Bawale, said the prosecution led by Mr Aminu Garba had established the case of culpable homicide against the convict beyond reasonable doubt.
