Its not a legal tender but they will collect it and give you the exact value of what you bring.....

Is your sense not telling you that since they are collecting 20000 units of it while they give you same value either in cash in hand or cash at bank then people will keep spending it when they know they can take 20000 units of it to the bank and still gets same value, so how does that rule out the money being legal tender?

Oga, stop confusing yourself, the deadline is 17th of February and banks won't collect it after 17th of February.

I don't know the Essence if bank will keep collecting it till next year, if banks keeps collecting it till next year, will they credit your account for bringing the old notes?

Bank can accept it for a period of 7 days after Feb 10th.
What that means is that an additional 7 days for any one who fails to meet Feb 10th deadline when it ceases to be a legal tender is already provided.
After Feb 17th, no bank can accept it anymore

B.A Ogbuli has a good point, but it doesn't matter because he's just one man. However, the question is: Why did INEC issue the first comprehensive BVAS report immediately the election ended?

Since INEC commissioner knew that there was another report underway, they should have delayed the report for a while so they can tender the final report in court. Imagine having two different BVAS reports, making themselves look amateurish, or even dubious.

Also, according to the Section 51 of the 2022 Electoral Law, the judges who had the majority decision (the two others) should have called for a rerun after the cancellation of the results of the BVAS reports being contested. Did they enact their own law yesterday? 🥱

My conclusion is, all these boys who plan to rig election for politicians should learn from this. Technology promotes transparency and you cannot change that. Don't try to alter anything because the law made it clear: over-voting leads to outright cancellation with a rerun conducted. This is what they should have done in this case.
