Good day Nairalanders.
Earlier last year while i was broke, i got a web design job for a Germany based church ran by a Nigerian for 15k and they suggested i build a website like www.tdjakes.org. I convinced them that it's not wise to duplicate their site and i decided to put up this design for them www.house-of-prayer-international.org . They loved the concept then but to my greatest surprise i got a call this evening from my agent and requested that i redevelop the entire site so it could look like this http://www.gcomchurch.com/ without any additional pay. I tried convincing my agent on the value of this new site he is requesting and that it will cost them 180k to achieve in a space of 2 weeks. Funny enough he became angry and requested for all the site control panel information of the works i have gotten through them which i have mailed across to him.
The thing there is that i have lots of work on my desk and i can't afford to spend huge time on a low pay job or not to talk of free jobs. Please advice on this because i wouldn't like to loose my agent and also wouldn't want to work on the site with nothing less than 150k. Thanks

Please move to Mocha host or Go daddy. I switched from Syskay to Mocha host. It's much cheaper and more reliable. Google it and try them out.

I got this information from a very close friend and a close source to Sullivan Chime that my governor is discharged from a London hospital and is strong and well. To crown it all, he heared him speak on phone and was laughing at his death rumours. He said he will return this January but the the sad truth is many jobs will be lost when he is finally back.

3. Javascript
4. JQuery
5. Php
6. Mysql
with these you are a pro then you keep improving.

NaijaNaWaa: Congratulations. Can you point to one or two websites you designed that are up and running? Do you do custom design or Joomla (template) type? What's your scripting language: .NET, Java, PHP, or other?

1) Good but how do you know that he didn't include the styles inline because adding a link to a css file would not allow you to see the codes? tongue
2) The English is good but why not follow it up with a coding sample of your own? I am sure you know that when you copy and paste here, it will all show up on a straight line unless you use the "code" element blocks
Mere looking at his sample codes you will know its not well structured. But anyway he is still a beginner and i know we made similar mistakes earlier. Maybe he can purchase my html and css video tutor but i can't start writing codes here on nairaland.

It's simple. OHe has to tidy up his codes by putting css files in separate pages and calling them up on the html page. Then for the mobile compatibility he should en-devour to use div and % to make it cross-browser and mobile friendly.

I want the site to be a classifieds ad site, news/blog site specifically for ghana and ghanaians abroad. And people just wanting to sell things or talk about ghana.

I appreciate all ur inputs. I paid for this theme so i dont have to deal with all the unnecessary crap..
The theme is nice but you know you still have to buy few other plugins to make it look excellent. Goodluck
