if you are reading this post, you perhaps remembered my username because i sometime started an anti spam bot compaign since the software was going hay-wire.
This made i and many others to dump Nairaland for NBF, Naijapals etc {at least some Nairalanders identified me since i use same username.
Well, i just checked back yesterday to find that you have corrected the fault which is a good development.
However, let me draw your attention to your other site www.nairalist.com the site has great potentials but most folks keep getting comments like: "404 page not found" when they try to post. Please do something.

If you look at a website, you will find pages like "home, about us, contact us, our goals etc {i know they are called Static pages} but my question is how are they arranged on the website? {i mean, in some sites, you find them at the top-right hand screen. In some other site, you find them at the top-left hand side. Some sites even repeat them at the bottom of the home page. How are they taken there?} in the free hosting i have used, after i create my pages, they are automatically arranged for me. Now that i want to buy my own domain, how can i do that. Or is it that the hosting company would give me some all-ready made layouts to pick from just like the other free service like Blogger would do?

I do both HTML and CSS hand coding. I can create a form and SUBMIT botton but my problem is, when these forms are filled where are they submitted to and how can i create the destination and be able to retrieve people information after their submition?

in understand your reasons for wanting to meet anyone you are dealing with. But i must tell you that in recharge card printing, you must deal with some people whom you don't even know. For instance, your bulk PINs would be emailed to you after payment {i am not saying you should give your money to any scammer you find online ok. . . .}. So, distance is never a problem provided you find a trusted fellow. When importing laptops and other things, i do send my money to some folks in China who i don't even know simply because i tried them with little and they didn't fail and you know, "he that is faithful over a little will be over much."

Hey all!
The issue is a very serious one. I am currently in Maiduguri and we are all running like street boys. All shops are locked and "operation flush" and soldiers are chasing everyone out of the main roads.
I just got home now and my heart still beats very hard even as i am typing.
My mission in Maiduguri is not finished but hmm! I am going back to Kaduna tomorrow. I wish i could even make it this night because there is no place like home.

Just a day before yesterday, the police went mad and started arresting all "okada men" asking them to pay N1000 each. They instantly got a response from some gun men as the DPO and some other police men were shot dead.

And yesterday evening, while i was going to the university, another serious chaos with gun shots arose. This led to another unrest in the state.
I AM MISSING MY HOME O. Maiduguri is not a place to stay for now.

Well, i had already decided to damage my account here by changing the mail and leaving it unverified so that the spam rubbish would be happy. However, i came back after 4 days to find that i have been unbanned perhaps because the spam rubbish or the mods no longer think i was guilty.
Forgive me if i am sounding arrogant, its not my life style. But you should know how it feels when for charity sake, you spent time typing over 5000 characters only to find that some trashy softwares have removed it and also ban you.

Though i am not a programmer, i know the spam bot was installed and was given commands as regards it functioning by some of your webmasters. I therefore know that it can be controlled to work effectively.
While i encourage the use of this software due to high rate of spam/scam, i think its operation should be regulated. This is because i know you invested youq time/money in the creation of this site just to get people to interract with each other and perhaps make some money via advertising. Now that your site has attracted over half a million Nigerians from all works of life, it would be unwise to allow such a software discourage people from interracting and consequently reduce your site's traffic.
Most people are complaining and will still complain if you don't adjust this.
Stand up for it and God's wisdom would guide you on what to do.

This is a new year and its great to find new changes on Nairaland.
I have been noticing some good changes here because scammers all most ruined this site. However, some of these changes are not helping us.
Technology is good but we must control it if we want the best out of it.
The point is the spam bot is really complicating issues. When you post a topic, the bot will just match your words with all the posts that have similar words on Nl. In this process, it will assume that all the posts with those words were made by same people and the next thing you get is an annoying message prompting you that your posting privileges have been withrawn forgeting this is a big site with many words.
@seun, i advice you to correct this error asap before you lose all your good work as this would greatly discourage traffic to this site in the shortest time.
I just hope i'm talking to someone who listens. Keep up the good work and God bless you and your works.
