I double dare tecno to take their phantom a+ to america and lets see if they'ld even make up to 200 sales.. Its only in nigeria that u'ld hear of tecno dats coz they know nigerians are ignorant and they like #awuuf. They dont like to spend money on good things. always looking for a way to manipulate things and pay less for a greater value.

Despite starting with production of fake products, they kept improving on their imperfection. And today, we all can withness the immense changes the decision of 30 years ago brought to the chinese.

JUO: I started with 286 cpu the speed was 50mghz, hdd 100mb, ram 8mb. windows 3.1 then computers don't boot to desktop.
Our uncle came with this thing from abroad (laptop). He was using it without light we were all amazed, how can a device work without light. One day he left this thing on the table and we managed to put it on and off. When he came back and said somebody touched the thing to us na TV we all denied unknowingly to us if you on earlier version of windows without shutting down it must scan for error the next time you power it on.
We learn the hard way. Did you know earlier version browsers don't recognize domain name like nairaland.com you must type the ip address. I once formatted computer i was using ah!. everything is easy now. before who you be to install windows wen you never set active partition in DOS

The only reason techno sells is because it's cheaper if you want quality go for Samsung S3 or S4.

A friend of mine bought techno A+ the spec is similar to S4 but the quality no reach S3 talk less of my S4(we checked it).
The A+ is big for nothing, have u seen d screen resolution (quality)? Crap! Even S3 screen is HD(780p or 1080p).

I don't want to even compare it to S4, that would be an insult to Samsung

I have nothing against techno, in fact I advice ppl who don't have money to buy Samsung S3 or S4(I'm a fan of Samsung S series) to go for techno phones.

R&? Programmers? Seriously? They're using vanilla android running on hardware they bought rather than designed themselves and you're talking about Research and Development, all tecno does is buy a cheap generic and rod device slap their boot animation on it then sell it.

In my opinion if you're on a very tight budget and you want a smartphone experience then go ahead and get a techno device but if you have the money then don't even consider it.

sunnysunny: tecno is a major rubbish. their phone os can't be updated. imagine my htc sensation made in 2011 is even current than the tecno my ass. i rooted my htc and upgraded it with a new custom rom. it now runs on andriod os kit kat 4.4 which is the latest. u guys can go to hell with tecno. htc for life!

And found out that, legacy bb7 devices compressed just email, browsing and Facebook with Twitter, everything else is not compressed

So while using opera mini, or uc browser, it's not compressed, also all downloads are not compressed

Also streaming isn't compressed. I keep wondering why folks talk about compression that's why data is cheap on BB, it's not true.

We spend more time downloading and streaming, that's why BlackBerry stopped compression on bb 10 and took them of their servers from the launch.

why is BB data cheap? you may ask.

Because they run over dedicated servers run by BlackBerry itself, and BlackBerry buys these data access in bulk....so economics of scale kicks in

That's what makes it cheap, but note that all BB 10 plans are expensive cuz they run over servers owned by respective providers, mtn, airtel, etc

Look at BB user regular pattern, he uses more data for downloads and streaming than emailing and facebooking

Now I understand the whole BB 7 data compression thingy better.

based on all these, it's clear that amount of data used on bb7 devices, and other platforms are the very close, the difference is only experienced while using social networks. the real cheapness of BB data is that BlackBerry firm buys their data in bulk.

it's like how it's cheaper to buy 10gb on any network at once and share over WiFi to 10 people than buying 10plans of 1gb for each of those 10 people.
