Hello sir. I just found out that university of Nicosia accepts bitcoin as tuition payment. Does CIU accept too? To pay for the complete package? Must I pay via the bank? That takes a lot of time.

Yeah University of Nicosia takes bitcoin since almost 5 years now...no university in the north Cyprus that currently takes bitcoin. So CIU does not. You can pay cash if you in Cyprus otherwise via the bank ...or online via CIU payment gateway

For those interested in studying in Cyprus and Turkey admission is opened for February 2021.

For those with very good grades (CGPA) in undergrad; may get 100% for PhD at EMU.

Please i am interested in your aflatoxin biosensor. Can it be used in detecting aflatoxin contamination level of feed ingredients such as maize, Soya etc?

We have tested the sensors with contaminated and spike peanut and milk samples; detection concentrations ranged 0.1–10 nM AFB1 and the limit of detection achieved was 0.40 ± 0.02 nM.

So your sample needs to be prepared in solution and AFB extracted for detection.

I will be rounding up my masters in Environmental Engineering at the TU Munich around May next year. I am working on water , energy and food nexus, creating special interest in developing countries. If it is your line of interest we can brainstorm and create ideas together. We win together.
Congratulations prof wip7

Thank you.

And I like your field, I like the idea where the educated and practically oriented young minds join to bring success. Let me tell you some of what am doing in terms of Scientific start-ups and that may interest you and others.

I have read via the media how BB Naija shows were watched with so much dedication, some even praying and organized religious and political energy towards it...which is fine. But I have not seen how similar efforts have been directed towards academic or Scientific start-ups in Nigeria.

When am free, I will share with you my newly formed Scientific STart-up company in my university Technopark and what the company intends to produce and also brainstorm.

Also, if you have investable Scientific start-up ideas that also fit my focus, I am able to finance up to 20 million nairas at a go.

Best wishes!

Academic success can spark others—Wip7 is here.

Success is like a chain formed from droplets of conversed inputs; is not a coincidence it will require efforts and dedication and laser focus.

Best wishes all and success in all will do... I hope this inspires someone here!

Sir can I book other airlines or it must be Turkish Airline

You can book other airlines; the main thing is your final destination must be Nigeria. Also, ensure the other airline tag your checked in baggage directly to Nigeria.

Morning Prof wip7.

I met with of my lecturers and they are interested in the earlier mentioned collaboration.

Is it feasible to generate data (after sample collection) during research for you to fine-tune for publication?

We are working on environmental proteomics.

Regards,

Hello,

Real Collaboration is not about generating data for me to fine-tune. I don’t know source of data, who is collecting and how is collected and for what specific purpose etc.

Scientific collaboration to me means: the problem, the possible solutions, hypothesis, Methodology, source of data collection, data collection devices all be discussed as intellectuals. During the discussion the collaborators will be able to identify their key strength and signify sections to significantly contribute while all collaborators monitors the project progress and comments stagewise.

That way people will learn missing skills or develop their inherent skills which will spark further cooperation and individual growth.

I am not collaborating because I need a paper to be published with some people but am initiating a collaboration for the collaborators to learn from my wealth of experience and for me to learn from theirs.

I hope this expantiante my earlier post. Please explain to your lecturers, if this fits there academic style, you can send me collaborators full details to get aclimitize to their current research.

Best wishes

Hi guys, can I book a one way ticket on Turkish airline to ercan. I have the Turkish transit visa. Please help answer. Thanks

Airport officials at ERCAN do not care if is a single or a return trip ticket you have. So you can book one way, however, will be logical to ask a Turkish airline official at the closest airport to you. Generally, with a T-visa you can come with a single-way ticket.

Please is there a post graduate work permit or any other kind of permit that allows graduates stay back in north Cyprus to look for a job after graduation?

No direct postgraduate work permit after graduation currently, meaning after graduation you have 40-60 days legally on the island after then you become illegal.

If you graduate and get a job you will have a work permit from the employer, duration of the permit will be depending on the job type.

If you like your Nigeria and the suffering plus the poor Educational system, stay there. If you want something better and desire something new despite the odds, make a move. It is your choice to make. Take it or leave it. I have been here since October. I'm doing my own thing, getting contacts and I am very okay. If someone is trying to be a racist to you, it's not your problem. The reason why you are here or why you want to be here should be your priority. There is nowhere in the world that Africans do not suffer racism. All you need to do is know who you are and stand your ground if need be.

Direct and plain

Sir can someone pay for the all inclusive package (tuition and accommodation and feeding) in CIU at once instead of paying the $1500 initial deposit?

Yes, applicants can pay for that.

Pls sir wip7 can i use my HND to study in CIU for M.eng in electronics and telecom. Engr? Am a fresh graduate, do i need GRE and TOFEL also? What are the chances of getting a scholarship for my studies? Between living in school dorm and renting a hostel outside school, which is cheaper? What is the overal cost of studying my M.eng in ciu, travel cost and mecelleanous altogether will cost me how much? Since am self sponsored, lastly can i use my M.eng cert to secure scholarship, job abroad in other well developed countries? Thanks

CIU admits applicants with HND directly into a master program and you maybe given some foundation courses as bridging courses depending on your previous background.

All incoming students are awarded scholarships; after the 50% scholarship, currently a master program without a foundation courses will be approximately 3500 euros (this includes 7 courses, seminar, a thesis , registration fees, etc). If you are given a foundation courses, each currently cost 120 euros.

If you are coming from country with English being official language, you don’t need TOEFL but you may be requested to take entry English test. No need for GRE.

Accommodation will range 1500-3000 euros either school or off campus per year. People go off campus because they can share rooms, bills with other occupants.

Securing blue/white/green collar jobs abroad requires a competitive profile laced with academic merits, verifiable demanding skills, experience and add-ons.

Take note: study abroad is expensive irrespective of countries, henceforward, ensure you are financially prepared.

Continuation---Manuscript tense: Using correct language for manuscripts

KelvinCoaster completed the abstract and conclusion parts.

So I will continue with the Results and Discussion sections.

RESULTS SECTION
______________________________________________________________

The result section of a manuscript is often written mainly using the past tense, as the experiments/research outlined in the text were completed before the paper was written.

Example: “we observed rapid degradation in the tumor after 20 mins” or “56.5% of the participants reported a remarkable reduction in salary”

Note that in certain cases, the present tense is required when referring to the whole paper or to specific elements of the manuscript like tables, figures, results, or data, etc.

Example: “our findings demonstrate that coconut oil is essential for bone function" or “Table 5 shows our X-ray data,” and “In this research, we report the discovery of a novel compound for cancer treatment".

Note that sometimes the number of tenses [/b]can be more than one within the same sentence:

Example: "Note that no photocatalytic activity was observed [b][past tense]
in the absence of cobalt nanoparticles, our results show [present tense] that silver is [present tense] required.”

For the last verb, the present tense is appropriate because the observation extends beyond the specific experiment referenced in the initial part of the sentence; it is now considered a statement of fact based on the results.

DISCUSSION SECTION
______________________________________________________________________

This section follows the same rules as the manuscript's previous parts. Use the past tense when referring to particular findings or results, but use the present tense when presenting conclusions: "we conclude that carrot is necessary for the human growth".

Also, the discussion section may contain future tense if instructions for additional study are given:

Example: "The techniques mentioned here will allow for rapid testing in the field"

Can I use oktb to arrive if I don't get the visa in time? I'll be applying by third week of January, that's why I'm asking. Thanks. And about the WAEC result, can I bring the authenticated statement of result from my school along with a print out from the WAEC site and a scratch card to verify? Will that be enough?

Should be ok... until then

Hey sir, please I'll be coming to CIU by February next year hopefully to study BSc English. I'll be applying in January. Will I still make it in time for d spring semester? And secondly, I only have my WAEC statement of result from my secondary school and not the actual WAEC certificate from d board. I went to the office and I was told it wasn't ready. So can I go ahead and authenticate d statement of result? Will it be accepted at the point of entry and by the school? Because I plan on using OK to board to fly in. Thanks.

Admission for next semester opens already so you can apply before January, pay your fees and get ready. You will be admitted with the verified WAEC result ( supply with your scratch card).

Why you don’t want to go to embassy to apply for visa ?
