Hecky7: No e-visa for Cyprus! Only Turkey does e-visa for those that have either passport or valid visas from Schengen countries/EU, USA, Canada, UK, etc. For most applicants from certain African countries, they can only come to TRNC by transit visa or if OKTB is approved. Not by e-visa! |

Hecky7: Because the OKTB is depending on ticket and service providers, it does not have FIXED pricing. It cost 130-180 thousand Naira last semester, according to some students who utilized it around April from your country (Nigeria). Have you attempted to obtain a visa? Visa is less expensive since you may buy a one-way ticket, whereas OKTB requires you to use a round-trip ticket. I'm not sure what the current fee is, and for the students, I'm processing, I'm waiting for clearance from immigration first to see if they'll allow them to use it. I'm hoping to find out how much it costs this week. If I have approval from immigration, you may send me an email at the end of this week or early next week. |

Kboy2020: No, and the institution would not raise tuition rates just for Nigerian students. The fees for undergraduate programs are shown here and have remained the same since, with the exception of any further reductions granted during the Covid shutdown.

eazylion01: Yeah mucarat is okay but based on recent rule for those old students coming back from red/dark red zone they stated that their student letter should be shown. Since she is old student, she can register for her course prior to her arrival and ask EMU for student letter which will be accessible from her portal. 1 Like |

lexuswagon: You don’t need proof of Fund for OKTB. Meanwhile since applicants from most African countries will only be allow into TRNC from August 15th and semester starts by September, they embassy might have not received directives to that, hence, that’s why the embassy or visa center talked about pandemic. You may try the visa center again towards end of the month, I believe they must have received the directives by then. Now OKTB is not yet confirmed it will be accepted, however, I have requested info from my immigration contact and Turkish airline by next week I shall know hopefully! |

frankemka: As a research and academic professor with extensive international experience, I can confidently state that the university in question is unsuitable for any academically serious student. I've worked as an adjunct and visiting professor at institutions in Europe, Canada, and the United States, so I'm familiar with their rankings and how they evaluate students from other nations, including North Cyprus. ------If you're going to study abroad, make sure the university is ranked higher than 75% of universities in your home country, and most importantly, look at the profiles of their academics. Simply typing the name of your chosen professors/instructors from the university or department into Google and navigating to their academic/research profiles ranking and output will give you a better idea of the nature of academics at that university. -----Examining the infrastructure, facilities, and even conducting a search on some of the university's graduates will also assist you in determining the university's status. frankemka: Undergraduate applicants from some countries, particularly Africa, are subject to an age limit in Cyprus, notwithstanding the fact that they are not intending to study. However, it would be disastrous for you if you had handed an agent your secondary school diploma and that agent had gotten you into a master's program. That simply means you must reject deceptive behavior. Unless you have given the agent a bachelor's degree and he has secured you a master's admission, please avoid such a fraudulent individual. . Pls what can you tell me about this school and how to verify that indeed the acceptance letter is coming from the school. The university is not suitable for any academically serious student because it has low-profile academics, weak infrastructure, and a ranking that is unworthy at this time. I strongly advise you to apply to Eastern Mediterranean University (the best, highest ranked, and good facilities among all these), European University, Middle East Technical University, Cyprus International University, or Cyprus Science University. Agent is claiming I've passed the age for BSc program and that's why he got me the masters and that everything is covered from his end.. Pls advise me on what to do. Thanks Most of these agents are from your country, and many of them have a weak educational background. It is difficult to realize that high education is worthwhile when someone is poorly educated or solely interested in a society that values money. Always make sure your agent is well-educated; request their level of education, as well as their verifiable documents and information, so you know who you're dealing with. Please be wary of anyone who engages in unethical behavior. |

Drhay: Most university do not admit HND for master direct. I think only one of the universities in Cyprus admit HND for a master program. If you are financially capable to study master program and want to do research first thing is start looking at the departmental website of the program you plan to do and find the potential supervisor in this department that have research profiles that fit your career goal. Have a look at Cyprus international university as they often admit HND. EMU (Eastern Mediterranean University) has more research output among all universities in Cyprus but do not admit HND for a master program. |

Drhay: As stated in my previous post; 6800$ is for entire master program. This fee above already included 50% scholarship. Since scholarship is included No extra funding for master program is given. |

emmanick: Yes And what happens if I miss to pay accordingly to how it was arranged Instalmentally You likely will be charged compound interest. emmanick: Since the update is weekly and I personally do not know the data used to group countries according to color, anything could change before September. However, according to an unconfirmed comment from a coworker, it's based on the quantity of publicly available vaccination data in each country. As a result, folks living in the red dark have a poor vaccination rate or are unwilling to be vaccinated. For you to be granted admission if you chose to travel to, say, Iraq or the United Kingdom, both of which are on the red list yet are allowed to visit the TRNC. You must have spent more than 14 days in Iraq, as evidenced by the entry and exit dates stamped on your passport, in order to enter TRNC. |

Braga123: In Cyprus, each program has a minimum number of courses and credit units that a student must complete before graduating, which is equivalent to ECTS (European credit transfer system). For a four-year undergraduate program, there are approximately 48 courses, with at least 6 courses per semester. The primary semesters are spring (February yearly) and fall (September yearly), during which students take their regularly scheduled classes, whereas summer (July-September) students can usually only take three courses. Depending on when a student joins the university, he or she will spend three to four summers before graduating from an undergraduate program. So, if a student decides to take three courses per summer, he or she will have completed almost nine to twelve courses, reducing the number of calendar years spent at university. Unlike a regular semester, where tuition is charged per semester, students often pay per credit hour for each summer course. I hope this clarifies things for you. If you're interested in studying at EMU, contact WIP7. |

islamics: You must be specific in the nature of the Railway data you request and also the location/source of data. This will help people with relevant info to point you in the right direction or provide valuable suggestions. Nature of data requesting/ data source/location: There is a bunch of railway parametric data that has been applied for machine learning and computer vision, which are based on maintenance, human resources, operations, safety and risk such as: ---Data for the internal monitoring of the SMS ---Data describing the rail and its conditions of use ---Data describing the rail fastening systems and their conditions of use ----Data describing the track sleepers and their conditions of use ---Data on trains running on the infrastructure --Data on the track-side control-command and signalling system --On-board diagnostic systems data What is the purpose of the data (output)? -----is it for automatic railway track detection Considering my experience with computer vision; most of the data needed for computer vision would be images or video data, for it to work you might have to capture and extract railway records from images captured from your own or the railway devices. However, this will largely depend on the purpose of the research. 4 Likes 4 Shares |
