Coldie: We are saying same thing cost of living in Nigeria is very high. Apart from the fact that these people are the ones providing there own infrastructures government over taxes the sector.
Just a few months ago Nigerian government added another tax on telecoms that’s already expensive tells the kind of messed up country we are living in. |

Joeyjones: Exactly because it's useless having high internet speed when your data is capped. Maybe one day they'll bring a good unlimited plan but it will be ridiculous like this South Africa's own. It is still capped. check and read fair usage policy. What they do is throttle your internet speed once your plan is exhausted. |

Joeyjones: Tests that I have seen show far show it reaching 500mbps+, maybe when it is widely used it will reduce to 250mbps. only way this is feasible is if they made unlimited plans. Over 600mbps could mean exhausting 10GB in less than 15 seconds. They ought to address this |

100mb is literally the minimum of 5g I'm sure it'd reach that speed if not then that isn't 5g. Could be even less and no oke will do a thing about it. I mean, compared to what is obtainable in other countries, data is really expensive in Nigeria. |

Cost of living in Nigeria is very high Wrong. People pay as less as £30 in the UK for monthly unlimited internet over 200mbps. Meanwhile you'd pay over N500,000 to get just 50mbps. |

ArewaNorth: Even if it is 5G there are range of frequencies within which it will operate and during testing Nigeria chose the lowest sfter successful testing in all the frequency bands. Security wise, the internet speed set is ok. Why can't they just roll out unlimited data services like we have in other countries? |

We probably still won't get up to 100/Mbps with the 5G. Poor latency with expensive data rates. |
