imam07: that is a wrong word to use. It is not abormination. Only dat islam was not spread to d area. Will u say it is an abormination for xtians to live in sokoto this doesn't write off the fact that Christians are intolerant. There are more churches in Kaduna than there are in the entire south east region. How many mosques can you even find in the south? |

We are talking about a bridge you condemned not Ganduje. I ask once again can you show us the one in your village that is not mediocre like the op's?
If you know you are better than Ganduje then you would honestly say there is nothing comparable to the bridge in your village in fact you have none in your village. It is that simple. typical black man's mode of reasoning |

imam07: I was so shocked this morning when i came accross what i can call most develishpost on Nairaland. Some muslims believe it is against their god by wishing christians a Merry Christmas. This surprise me to d extent i now begin to fear being in this country with this people. Why on earth will a normal human being wll have such hatred towards his fellow man. different strokes for different people. Some people have a high level of intolerance take easterners for instance. They hardly have any muslims around because they think it's an abormination. That's why there's hardly any mosque in the east. |

HigherEd: Because we say God is the same Today, Yesterday and Forever. Therefore precedence is very important in deciphering who God is. The old testament is very complex to understand by mere human understanding because unlike the biblical new testament that was written over 1 or 2 generations it(OT) was written over thousands of years. But two things are clear all through scriptures 1) God loves people even before Jesus died for man's sins. 2) God also loves worship
He would rather the two be done simultaneously rather than one exclusively. If you give all your belongings to the poor, a kidney for the sick and reject Jesus you are going to hell fire. This is why when God saw the good and humanity of cornelius he couldn't think of any thing to give him than to give him salvation. Many of humanity's greatest philanthropist have been courted by Jesus but they have refused him in arrogance and pride and unfortunately they would pay for it. They would see worse men make it to heaven before they do. Therefore it would be risky to do one without the other.
When i take my last breath i want to know i served the poor, i built great cathedrals, sponsored mission trips and above all my name is in the book of life. religious leaders do not care about the welfare of their members. They're more concerned with building more churches and auditorium. that is a big cause to worry. |

MightySparrow: The builders of these mega churches should not only be commended for their visions and prudence but governments should invite them to teach accountabity. Get to Redeemed Camp, Winners Camp, Deeper life etc light and water run 24/7 security sure. Covenant University much criticized is the only university of international standard. other mission universities would soon follow while ASUU and students fight and embark on endless strikes stealing the future of our youths. thump up for visionary pastors. where a large chunk of their members live like peasants. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Questions For People Against Big Church Buildings In Nigeria by wis3(m): 12:42pm On Dec 02, 2018 |
HigherEd: Well He was happy when the Temple was built. So by that assumption he is probably happy about glory dome, faith tabernacle, potters house and the likes.
God is not a fool, he knows man and His treacherous soul more than anyone ever. He sees how they build multi billion stadiums across the world and spend their lifetime chanting and hailing football stars but remember industries and poor peopl when same is done for him.
The truth is God built an entire human race for self glory, whether you like it or not that is who He his. Our ambitions, economy, vision is expected to be secondary to our Worship of Him.
A truth that transcends scripture is this, whenever something good is done in God's name he seems to appreciate and accept it despite the political incorrectness. The expensive perfume used on Jesus is another example. you don't just make assumptions based on past events. What if you're wrong? What if all what God really wanted was for us to love and help one another? |

Daeylar: How is she objectifying herself? All she did was wear a simple dress. Did you ever see her state that she wants to be a sex object? Did she ask the perverts who have no regard for women as human beings and only see them as objects to do so? So how the hell is she objectifying herself?
Useless people will objectify women and then try to blame the women for objectifying themselves.
Rubbish.

If not because of civilisation you would be walking bare chested Why should I when they are free as long as they are not causing public chaos I see nothing wrong with it. so you're saying you're not civilized?
