The school has submitted names to Jamb but it takes a little bit of time for it to be uploaded on Jamb website because i was very sure and aware.... the issue of post-utme has been a wide spread news... Post-ume or not pls read at home.... And my candid advice to those that apply for Uniabuja. If you know that you have anybody in the school that is a senior staff or better still a lecturer or someone in a high ranking post... Pls, try and submitt ur credentials to the person... Even if not in the school... It might be a staff of jamb office or national university commission or anything that is related to education. Because names are been submitted... ''This one no be i hear but i don see''. Pls, try and submitt if u know someone in the school... Thank you...
My own information about the post-utme is that it seems that the school might not be conducting her post-ume cos there was a circular that is being placed at the entrance of the school gate but i did not see any signature in the circular so i see it still as a rumour too... Cos i can type and paste at the school gate.... If there won't be a post-ume the school will use the system of last year to admitt student this year again.... So, try and submitt ur details to someone u know that can help u gain admission... Pls, i can't help you in the area of admission cos i don't want issues....

MONDAY OR ANYTIME
This Is to officially inform all University of
Abuja students that there will be no
protest tomorrow or any time in the
UNIVERSITY and those speculating or apprehensive of protest should be rest
assured that No BODY Is protesting and
anybody that does protest did that at his
own peril.
initially there was supposed to be a protect because the front of the school last night around 7pm was shut down. We have considered all the present
indices and management has just assured us that all the students Demands would
be met immediately and Would set up a
committee for the ones that needed to be
considered.
After a strong meeting with the top
security officials of the university delegated by the management, we have
been assured of the following,
That the management would Look into
the issue of the NEW Examination rules
and regulations as demanded as it can
only be considered at the senate level. That the Student s Union Government
election would hold and by Monday the
certainty of a date would be
communicated to students after
management consultation.
However the UNION still insists and appeal that the New Examination Rules
and Regulations should be put on hold.
We therefore embrace peace to
negotiate with the management.

UNIABUJA now boast of Full Accreditation
to Offer Courses in Veterinary Medicine,
Engineering and Others
The Vice-Chancellor, University of Abuja
(UniAbuja), Prof. Michael Adikwu, said
the institution now has full accreditation to offer courses in Agriculture,
Engineering and Veterinary Medicine.
Adikwu disclosed this at a Forum of the
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja
on Wednesday.
He said that the initial accreditation challenge experienced by the institution
had been overcome.
“Let me start with agriculture. That was
one of the courses that were problematic;
we have full accreditation for that now;
so we don’t have problem in that area,’’ he said.
“Before I came on board, there was also a
problem with engineering; some of the
students were farmed out, sent to other
universities.
“So, they (the university) had some contact with them and there were few
courses they needed to come back and
complete and that has been done, and we
have graduated two sets put together.
‘’So, we do not have problem with that
currently,’’ he said. On veterinary medicine, Adikwu said that
the issue with the course had been sorted
out and that the department had started
graduating students.
He said that the only department in the
university yet to be accredited was medicine, adding that it was being
expected.
“They have had the first accreditation;
they were successful.
“For medicine, you have to do serial
accreditations; they needed to do one for the basic clinical sciences and then the
final accreditation.
“So, we are preparing for that and very
soon, they too will cross the fence,” he
explained.
He said that the university had acquired the basic infrastructure needed for
teaching medical students, adding that
the institution presently had three sets of
students ready for graduation.
The vice chancellor disclosed that the
university recently lost its accreditation for law and microbiology programmes
because it overshot its admission quota.
He explained that the loss of
accreditation for the courses could only
stop the university from admitting fresh
students for them, adding, however, that the matter would be resolved soon.
He said that the loss of accreditation for
law was because the number of students
admitted for the programme was high.
According to him, the Council for Legal
Education said we should admit 100 students but we were admitting more
than 400.
“I know of some other universities which
are taking 700 students and they also lost
accreditation. Once that is corrected, we
will get our accreditation back,’’ Adikwu said.
“We also do not have accreditation for
microbiology; I do not think that it is
punitive; I think that it is corrective.
“Once the number of our students
normalises, we will get our accreditation back,” he stated.
The vice-chancellor, however, said that
the corrective measure would not affect
the students currently in the law and
microbiology programmes, stating that
they would graduate soon. According to him, ”our Faculty of Law is
doing very well as it has performed
wonderfully in both local and
international completions.”

A sacrosanct and very delicate news got to Us of
recent (yesterday morning), Where it was genuinely discovered that a
shuttle bus of University of Abuja conveying
students to the permanent site from the Mini
campus got involved in a ghastly motor accident
at SDP. A call was put through to one of the executives
of the present student Union Government, Then
it was confirmed that it is not the student union
bus rather it was a shuttle bus conveying
students for lectures. At present, Students affected are taken to the
Specialist Hospital not too far from the location of
the accident, and there is no knowledge of
anything more serious than serious injuries... Thank God no live was lost..... Lets us continue to pray for the school management and for God to see us all through.....
