I bought some few things abroad, and d seller sent me an account(Paypal) to pay into. I contacted a friend abroad that said he knows someone that can help me facilitate the transfer. We discussed and i asked my friend thorough question before sending...

"Are you sure i can trust this receiver?" He vouched for him and then i paid the receiver $700. He confirmed he received the money but then he said his paypal
Account was holding his funds so he cant pay me until they free him from withholding wahala.

He confirmed he received the money, but he can't take anything from his account. The funds was sold to me by a trusted freelancer so it wasn't stolen funds.

I have done virtual currency trades so many times online and this is the first time am hearing that i have to wait for paypal before i can get my money. I av already devised a means to get my boys to his (referrer)crib and hassle him to either pay me my money or force his so called picker to... But on a second thought, is the vendor nor supposed to pay me after receiving the money?

Do i need to wait till eternity even though he confirmed the payment ?
Please i need advise on this.

Paypal usually hold payments if they are suspicious of the transaction...howbeit the recipient may decide to pay you or release your funds with discretion or pend it for the waiting period (5 working days or 30days max)....

It's not your problem ofcourse but in transactions mode it is a problem if he doesn't have extra funds and can only pay you when he redeems the one in PayPal... however let him show you a live video of the withheld funds in his PayPal.
If this is your first time with the vendor then he/she has to do the needful by paying you ASAP since it's first transaction.

I immediately reported the fraud to the relevant government agencies for help.

After the EFCC collecting all evidence from me, they took bribe from the pastor of the church, forwarded the evidence to him and began to investigate me instead. I was in Benin Republic then where I was writing a book. They came there!

When I returned to Nigeria, they arranged with the pastor to come to my street to see whether he knows me. Of course, I have no idea who the man is till now. I just heard about his work and decided to support.

So, instead of helping me recover my money that's what I got. An honest person cannot do that type of job.

I wish I could be walking down the street one day and someone stop me as a secret service agent. I'll open their nyash. Maybe it would be an opening to get Africans understand what's going on in this world.
