For someone who claims to be on the fence - you sure have put a lot of effort in defending the gay point of view.

Lollz.
You think I care what you think? I don't believe it is a crime to be gay so nothing wrong, from my perspective, if anyone considers me gay.

If you're decent and not an attention-seeking mischief-maker, seeking cheap likes, you will realize that treating human beings less than animals is wrong and something every upright and responsible person should fight against as much as possible.

One of the factors that led to the American civil war was about some not wanting to grant freedom to black slaves while others insisted it was wrong for black people to be enslaved and 'owned' like animals.

Those who fought and gave their lives for black slaves to be free were black people alone abi going by your reasoning that anyone "putting effort" to fight injustice must belong to the group they are defending?

Some of you, going by your talk, show why Nigeria is backwards and far from joining the status of "developed nations".

You don't have to approve of LGBTQ+ folks but give them the fundamental human right to live and make private choices all consenting adults should be entitled to.

Look into your own soul and tell us how what consenting adults do with each other in their private bedrooms concern you enough for you to want to hound, prosecute, jail and kill them as is done to murderers worldwide.

You people see nothing wrong with the mindset of Nigerians whereby bandits and terrorist, who are serial killers, are granted full amnesty while gays are stoned to death in the same geographical region of Nigeria.

Only God can intervene in the matter of Nigeria because we are the embodiment of everything bad and undesirable about human beings.

You do wonder how stupid some people can be.

Someone is complaining about January 1966 coup, the same person has no complaints about July 1966 coup, 1976 coup, 1983 coup, 1985 coup or 1993 coup. His complaint starts and ends with one particular coup, in the many that occurred in Nigeria

Someone is complaining that Igbos said they will dominate Nigeria, he has no complaints about being dominated by the Hausa/Fulani oligarchy for the last 60 years

Someone is complaining that parts of Nigeria are bitter against Igbos, but is finding every reason for Igbos to remain in a country where people are bitter against them

Someone is complaining that Nigeria has failed, but thinks Biafra is lunacy. Do you enjoy remaining part of a failed country?

I don't believe an Igbo man wrote this nonsense, but if it is an Igbo man that wrote it, he is a disgrace to himself and his ancestors

Yet they will insist they are innocent, saintly, marginalised and always "victims".

I personally think it is the Loud, shameless and pugnacious hypocrisy of Igbos that others hate passionately.

Like the child who is always dirtiest, from top to bottom, in school yet forever attacking others for small stains in their shirt.

In their song, Ebony and Ivory, Paul McCarthy and Steve Wonder sang, “There is good and bad in everyone”. Like any other group of humanity, the Igbo have their strengths and weakness, with the capacity for both good and bad. Like other major ethnic groups of Nigeria, the Igbo, have, in the quest for power and glory, been insensitive and arrogant, exploitative and inconsiderate, and vicious and murderous. And, like the Hausa/Fulani, we have massacred, in thousands, those that stood in the way of our political ambitions.

the problem wih many of you people is that you believe that your personal views and opinion should be above the law, while you are just IGNORANTS!, wherever you are on earth, you must ALWAYS FOLLOW THE LAW OF THAT COUNTRY (regardless of how you feel about that specific law)!!

thats why:
in Europe, its a crime to drive a motorbike without a helmet, while in the US some states (like California) allow to drive bikes without helmets.
in Europe, its a crime to drive while talking on the phone, but in the US some states (like Florida) allow to talk on phone while driving.

how deluded are some of you people thinking that a country's law shouldnt apply to you (because you dont agree with it)?!

https://www.reactiongifs.com/r/2013/08/crazy-talk.gif
You keep repeating the same senseless argument that shows you lack useful and/or progressive reasoning ability.

You foolishly try to make this about crime and the need for it to be punished while you obdurately refuse to understand some things, like being from the black race, were never crimes to begin with.

Meaning anyone who criminalised race and colour, with actions such as capturing and selling black folks as slaves or refusing them the right to vote in societies they live in, should be defeated asap so that sanity, commonsense and progressive ideals rule.

As the poster NSNO contributed while you kept shouting about crime and following the law, "the law is barely enforced now sef" and we all know why.

Many believe, since ages ago, that persecuting, arresting and killing LGBTQ is inhuman and does not belong in modern and progressive societies where LGBTQ folks are now plentiful and contributing positively in science, technology, sports, politics etc.

South Africa demonstrates my point by moving to use legislation to back their stance that it is wrong to persecute anyone on account of their sexuality.

They did not sit around insisting on the retentions on laws initiated in days of backwards, intolerant, discriminatory and unexposed thinking.

With you personally, If LGBTQ folks don't hound you and are not beating down your door to sexually assault you, as if they are animals, why can't you mind your business about the private bedroom choices of other grown and consenting adults, as they show no interest in yours, and leave them be?

Have you heard of anyone being stoned to death barbarically in any developed nation in the last 100 years, for "disrespect" to a God, yet Nigeria, where it is still done, is in the company of Nations like Afghanistan, Somalia etal.

Nations where many believe they must force their religious beliefs on others and even kill "unbelievers" and infidel. They will tell you that doing so is their own "law".

So why not be consistent and openly tell us here that you back the punishment of those who stone others to death publicly for disrespecting their Gods? It is their law and after all, all laws must be enforced according to you. Not so? Clown 🤡.

NSNO:
Leave him alone. He's out of touch with reality.

I believe that in a few decades, Nigeria will legalize all these LGBT+ stuff.

The law is barely enforced now sef.
Precisely and this is because those meant to enforce the law don't agree with it because they may (1) be LGBTQ themselves or (2) do not want to engage in the senseless hypocrisy of persecuting, arresting and locking up LGBTQ folks for what they do in their bedroom when that is now very common to many millions of Nigerians today.

The guy is annoying and na dem type full politics and leadership of Churches, Mosques and cultural institutions hence the reason Nigeria is not moving forward. I.e people who are so bereft of ideas and forward thinking yet shout and order the loudest..

Everybody will see A as the solution for Nigeria and Nigerians and those sort will keep insisting it must B.

South Africa legalized same sex marriage in 2006 and have criminalised discrimation against South Africans on account of their sexuality.

If that archaic relic and outdated fool is correct with all his noise about the "crime" of LGBTQ, then South Africa should have regressed horrendously since 2006 and Nigeria, where it is legal to kill homosexuals as punishment for their "crime", should be paradise now.

Yet what is the reality me, you and millions of Nigeria know is in place? Northern Nigeria where they are most intolerant, along with nations like Somalia and South Sudan plus Afghanistan etal, are some of the most backwards geographical spaces on Earth with the poorest human development index known to man.

Tbis reality commonsensically show that societies should focus on progresses ideas that elevate humanity and not be obsessed with people's private leaning in terms of sexuality, religion, culture etc.

The concept of secularity of societies, i.e keeping religion out of political/administrative and public life, is deemed a sacrosanct development template except in backwards Nigerian, Mauritania, South Sudan, Mali, Somalia etal.

Those are the nations Nigeria, "the giant of Africa", want to be in league with rather than the most Liberal, modern, most productive and most economically developed in the world.

Look no further than that pompous ignorant clown, and his type, to see those who are the problem of Nigeria and Africa.

i understand that you believe that you are so important and that your opinion is more important than the law of Nigeria, and therefore you (and all criminals/gays/lesbians in Nigeria) foolishly believe that you are above the law and shouldnt follow the law of the country you reside in... but sadly, i dont care whether people/criminals/gays and lesbians in Nigeria are breaking the law or not... the law in Nigeria/Cameroon is very specific on that subject and therefore we must all FOLLOW THE LAW! or face consequences of your actions.

...and if you have a big mouth like Bobrisky, flaunting your "illegal" lifestyle all over social media, then they will simply use you as an example... BWAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!
Your just a clown and it is obvious ignorance is your problem. You must be proud Nigeria is in a disgraceful list of only 4 nations in African where executing homosexuals is legal punishment. Look at the nations Nigeria is in the company of below i.e Mauritania, Somalia and South Sudan.

Are they not some of the worst nations with some of the poorest human development index in the world?

People like you, always having a hard-on over irrelevant and petty things that should not concern you, or are the private bedroom matter of two consenting adults, are the problem of Nigeria because you contribute nothing when issues that really matter and transform lives are the subject matter.

In 2006, almost 20 years ago, South Africa legalised same sex marriage and empowered their constitution to outlaw discrimination against anyone because of their sexuality.

Has South Africa become hell on Earth since 2006 and has Nigeria, conversely, become Dubai because she supports execution of gays over the same period?

Same South Africa has overtaken Nigeria as the biggest economy in Africa showing that people like you are just intolerant ignoramuses focused on non-issues.

Leave LGBTQ adult folks alone. They don't harrass you and no scientific evidence exist that they make a nation worse. Whereas factual evidence directly support the reality that over-religious, over-authoritarian and ultra-intolerant nations do harm to themselves and so many of their citizens.

Keep deluding yourself. You and your ilk have nothing to offer a Nigeria that wants to be progressive and responsive to the needs of all her people.

https://www.globalcitizen.org/en/content/countries-legalized-same-sex-relationships-africa/

In fact, out of the 54 African states, only 22 of them have legalized homosexuality. In some countries it is punishable by imprisonment, while it is punishable by death in four — Mauritania, Nigeria (in states where sharia law is applied), Somalia, and South Sudan.

For the majority of African nations, anti-LGBTQIA+ laws date back to the colonial era. However, LGBTQIA+ communities continue to face stigma, discrimination, and widespread threats and violence as a result of their sexual orientation and gender identities to this day.

In 2006, South Africa became the first and remains the only African country to legalize same-sex marriage, with a constitution that also protects against discrimination based on sexual orientation

I have thrown you a challenge. Go to any bar or club in Lagos and go and enforce the law against those you claim are breaking the law. Better still start with Doyin Okupe's and Peter Obi's son's when they are in Nigeria.

It was once legal to keep and sell black people as slaves same as Blacks folks voting used to be proscribed in the USA.

The postive changes that have happened since then shows that it is those who accept reality and are liberal who deliver progress for society. Not intolerant relics and waste of space individuals like you.

Abi you want to claim Nigeria is better than the six African nations below where same sex relation is normal? How for example , with your silly and childish obsession, better than Seychelles folks with a per capita income much higher than that of Nigeria?

Would your ignorant and backward brain know that 22 nations out of the 54 nations of Africa have legalised homosexuality?

Whether you like it or not, what the six nations below have done be will be legal in most of the 54 nations of Africa in the next 20 years. Nothing you and backwards folks can do about that.

listen, as much as your above speech sounds WANDAFUL, the reality is that, as much as there are millions of lesbians in Nigeria, the vast majority rather hide to live their lesbian lives (and even get married to a Man) than openly state their lesbian orientation. thus why this LGBT agenda will never be accepted in Nigeria or Cameroon.

NOTHING SADDER THAN A LESBIAN LIVING IN A COUNTY WHERE AN UNMARRIED WOMAN IS VIEWED AS WORTHLESS!
You don't get my point. I am a realist and a pragmatist. That is why I get the maximum out of life.

I don't concern myself with what is not my business or interest and I don't really give a sh1t about this whole LGBTQ furore. If a gay dude hits on me, I will tell him politely "not interested". That's it.

I won't join anyone to march and carry banners hypocritically saying "gays must die" and similar.

My point therefore is that the public indignation against LGBTQ is pompous, misguided and deceptive in a continent where it is now rampart, increasing like wildfire and here to stay.

This is why the serenity prayer, more or less about live and let live, is one of my favourite with prayers I live by.

There are even lesbians walking around openly these days holding hands happily usually with one dressed like a man and 'sagging' her trousers.

Go to a club when next in Nigeria and ask like five ladies you want a thre.esome hookup with two bisexuals.

See if like three out of the five won't agree and name their price.

Bottom line is that this is not about anyone rubbing anything in your face. It is what adult Nigerians want to do and are doing so deal with it.

The problem with you guys is lack of political nous and intellectual finesse. The SW is the premier region of Nigeria today.

We can seek the support of the North but never beg them because those who have a lot to offer, unlike tenth class folks like you, don't beg anyone anywhere worldwide.

People who have real value know their worth. I told this to your pal Odin13, Asgard23 to 85, Frigga etal when he kept insisting in 2022 that the North would fck up and disgrace Tinubu.

My precise message to him then, as is same to you now, is that you can hate and wish harm on Yorubas all you want but never discount their worth to Nigeria to then think anyone can mess the ethnic group around and get away with such.

You'll see that in 2027, as I told Odin13 would happen in 2022, that it will be influential Northerners, like Governors who are actually in power and have money and influence to mobilise , who will stand for Tinubu.

This is because, per politics being a game of permanent interest, they understand they will need Tinubu and the Yorubas in 2031 for their own ambition they will never jeopardise for the vendetta-driven agenda of the likes of Atiku, Ndume, El Rufai etal.

Do you know how many Northern Governors are themselves eyeing Aso Rock in future who also appreciate they will always need the Yorubas unlike you 5% nonentities Buhari and Tinubu showed are electorally worthless ?

What do those sort, Like the Niger Governor who will be finishing his second term in 2031, have to gain backing Atiku and El Rufai's machiavellian plot in 2027 knowing their ambition is over if a Northerner wins and can be in power till 2035? I said all this in 2022 una insult me. Who was proven right in the end? We will see in 2027.

Just mark it down. I am rarely wrong as those who consider themselves more analytically superior to you here will testify. Do you have any sense at all or even kids? I talk patronising to my kids sometimes because I know they're not mature enough to argue with. Such is a waste of my time and not a productive tool of training them.

Bashir is rash and foul-mouthed. Same way Davido completely lashed Dele Momodu, much older than him, with childishness and a level of personal vitriol not fit for public consumption over his face off with Momodu' niece Sophia.

Dele Momodu who I personally despise for political reasons, in his own comment about the public rift between Davido and Sophia, made a very telling statement showing considerable wisdom and maturity above Davido.

He said things were compounded by how his niece and Davido both lack the wisdom and pragmatism to handle their spat pragmatically.

Classic application of wisdom instead of getting in the gutter with Davido who is ranting about things too private for even a wise 12 year old to air publicly.

Sophia was doing same but Momodu showed he is much wiser than both who are not exactly kids at above age thirty.

Even when right, you will lose support if your words are not circumspect and measured. Only unwise and uncouth kids will bark back at Bashir in similar venomous tone rather than tell him to calm down.

Is that not what we all want,

For them to stop destroying farmlands and embrace ranching? So now, if they get all of that because there is a ministry that tend to that now, does that stop you, who is a Westerner from ranching?

If you, a Westerner, begin a ranching business today, will you not benefit from this ministry?

We want the North to stop herding, and that's exactly what we will get... Wether through ministry creation or any other means, it doesn't matter.
God bless you. What the poster you responded to does not understand is the concept of how positive feedback encourages greater productivity.

Herders are stubborn because most are illiterates who do not know anything else other than the outdated pastoralist method of herding they believe is their only option.

With Tinubu's clever concession they will be exposed to new and modern training and ranching methods for rearing livestock that will make many Northerners rich through the lengthy value chain which will accompany Netherlands-style livestock farming.

Once the benefit of greater profit, more education/training plus more societal respect and commendation for Northern livestock farmers begins to resonate throughout Nigeria then they will be encouraged to do more and better. Open grazing will then naturally die.

Most people can change for the better but it is sometimes necessary to cajole them to change by introducing them to new and more effective ways of doing things.

Crucial to remember that an illiterate left to his own device, and not shown how to do thing in a better way, may do thing the same backward way he has done so since age 11 all the way to when he dies at age 90.

What Tinubu is doing is what visionary reformers do. They initiate new and better ways of doing things that then becomes the progressive norm for society.

The North has finally been tamed.

They want to continue to live as though they are in the 1500, but things have changed.

What they do not understand is that, ranching is even more profitable than herding... But they've been too emotional about the whole thing.
Indeed. One of the mainstay of the Netherlands economy is organised livestock farming. Nigeria needs to head in the same direction.

Jega is a good fit. Intelligent, wise, calm and pragmatic. Should do well.
