Typing:Lol. What you desperately desire to see and actual reality on ground are very different things. Keep dreaming. |
2mch:He is no threat at all. Just another rabble rouser. Leaders cannot be shouting and panicking because ordinary people are doing that. Leaders should move silently and get results You are giving this dude way too much credit and importance. |
ResidentSnitch:Tell me how exactly they will overrun the SW. Of course terrorists will have success. Nigerian policing is in the dark ages and ridiculously inadequate. Will anyone even pick up the rapid response hotline anywhere in the SW, other than Lagos, let alone despatch an armed team to arrive and deal with reported terror threat in like ten minutes? We don't have that capacity. Time you people face this fact. We have a lot of work to do to reform Nigeria because of what past leaders have failed to do over decades. That does not mean we all lose our head and begin panicking because some evil people are trying to use terror to get their way. All what we are seeing now is a ramping up of terror in the SW to discredit Tinubu so born-to-rule Northern supremacists can sieze power. It won't work and , by the grace of God, Nigeria will get to the stage where permanent solutions begin to move us in the right direction. |
ResidentSnitch:You guys talk too much. Were you the ones who fought Malami and Buhari to set a precedence for Nigeria via creation of Amotekun? Will your Governors and leaders ever have the balls to do what is shown below? Mind your business. Yorubas will always handle their business. It is emotional, weak and ineffective men who make noise. Yorubas will always move appropriately because they have the capacity to. They were the only ones, even as you lot make empty noise always, to fight Malami and Buhari to deliver Amotekun at a time Fulani terrorism was threatening to consume the South. All what we are seeing now is sponsored terror by desperate born-to-rule Northern supremacists looking to sieze the Presidency. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/swest-govs-propose-six-regions-demand-lg-autonomy-resource-control/%3famp

LagosOrigin:You guys are always emotional. It is your nature. Yorubas do not need to make noise. They will move when they have to. Sharia has no place in Yorubaland. |
@OP. Some of you give too much attention to nonentities. Who is this clown to Yorubas for you to create this silly thread? |
wellmax:There is nothing Hamzat does not understand about the workings of Lagos. Excellent listener too. I have even drafted a feasibility report to pitch before him to develop a critical sector to create wealth for many Lagosian with specific skills the world is investing in currently. I.wanted him to be Governor and super happy APC settled on him. |
Hamzat will be a spectacular Lagos Governor. I don't get much wrong. That why I am the WizardOfNG 😎 |
esnbrutality:Lol. Again, same advice. Grow up. Nothing shows you're an irresponsible adult more than mentioning Remi Tinubu. She has an official executive or legislative political office currently? |
MichaelSokoto:No. The North is gone. Maybe not for good. We all have a choice to make. Give the region and her people tough love and demand they fix up or we leave, so they can go and joing the backward Sahel Mullahs above them outside Nigerian border, otherwise they take all of us down. What we Southerners are collectively failing to do, and leaving to one man, will take us down. |
ZombieDredd:Grow up. |
Forumobserver12:Thank you and well-said. The problem with Nigerians is that they are not brave, focused or critically intelligent enough to demand specific solutions. No President will move to de-emphasise the influence of religion in national life which is precisely what we must do to make progress as a Country. This is because doing so, even as they know it is the solution to one our major problem, will lose them votes and elections. It is Nigerians themselves who must hit the streets and protest for conditions our leaders must respect and deliver. Buhari was authoritarian but even he bowed to #EndSARS protest and disbanded SARS. If Nigerians are focused and really wish to evolve a developed nation, we must move like China with an openly and proudly atheist leader, Xi Jinping, who prioritises solutions man can deliver for himself through STEM i.e science, technology, Engineering and mathematics. The guy below says it all. Clerics every corner of the North whereas they need more technocrats and educated solutions providers. We in the South then continue indulging them and turning on ourselves also when we must hold them to account. We are screwing ourselves. Chicken will come home to roost for all of us for what we don't have the capacity to see and demand while we simplistically keep thinking one man must do it all. How big is the terrorism and banditry industry in the North today? Huge !!! How does it keep growing and thriving if not that a lot of Northerners, leaders and followers, are misguidedly in bed with those evil people mainly because of ethno-religious sentiments? Does that not reveal the ideological aspect of the battle against terrorism and banditry all Nigerians must recognise and then move deliberately to defeat? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEczxfZ1s7Q?si=7JuOOp1PBiirVD1U |
MrsAyomide:Rubbish. Are you really Yoruba? We are lauded universally for our exemplary 'live and let live' religious tolerance which is how man must live and coexist peacefully and productively. We are an example of world best standard when it comes to religious tolerance. It is extremists who must be dealt with. Igbos aren't mono-religious by choice. Religion arrived various regions of Nigeria differently. Yorubas have proven Islam is not evil. It is wicked, extremist and evil people who warp Islam and pretty much all religions.
|
UkoAnnang:Lol. Which one be "light Muslim"? Some tags are merited. Those who called Yorubas "sophisticated" and 'progressive" are right. We have the wisdom to understand religion is private and spiritual worship. Never something to impose over others let alone kill for. |
sucess001:You guys, kids in adult bodies, never see what matters. Do you know the factual success Of Lagos Tinubu mentored to make her 6th biggest economy in Africa and one of the most understudied geographical spaces in West Africa? Everything begins and end with you childish characters arguing ignorantly according to who or what you hate and never per respect for proven facts and realities. |
Hismajesty44:Yeah. The pay is very good too. You're hungry? You need 20k? |
Music009:Leaders do what they must and what they can't admit to in public. Very few human beings understand this because many risk their lives, and even do the unspeakable, to make sure you sleep peacefully at night. Evil and good are always fighting. Tinubu understands this concept. The OBJ you hail capitulated and allowed Sharia in a Country officially secular. Look where we are with Jihadist from all corners of the world converging on Nigeria and viewing it their own to conquer !!! You guys don't understand the simple concept of not giving a man or system more burden than he/it can carry. Nigeria is not a democracy in the strictest sense. Best leaders know they must pragmatically keep adjusting solutions till we arrive where we wish to be. Lagos would be no better than Kwara today if Tinubu had not recognised having a long term road map, to be safeguarded by allied leadership continuity, is crucial. |
Sheuns:Humane as in how? The bolded is addressed to the wrong person. Not many more sad about insecurity than me on this forum. Unlike most here supporting Atiku and El Rufai etal blindly, simply because of ethnocentric hatred for PBAT, I am the poster who serially insist Nigeria must take Northerners to task and demand they take responsibility for finding solutions for the problems they are causing our wonderful Country rather than seeking the Presidency. The priority of Northern leaders, at all levels, is wrong. Insecurity has turned the North into a near worthless region yet the Sultan of Sokoto is more concerned about the delivery of Sharia in Yoruba land. If Nigerians aren't ready to do what must be done, and Southerners are even queuing to work for and back Atiku, do you want me to be crying? We know what must be done but won't do it proactively. When the worst then happens, we all then start rolling around on the floor. Atiku is simply playing politics with security because he believes anything to discredit Tinubu improves his position. Show me one thing Atiku has done or said that shows he is genuinely concerned or feel guilty about the insecurity his people are causing. You believe if it was Yorubas causing this problem for Nigeria good Yorubas would not have been up in arms to deal with the killers amongst us? The North must take responsibility and we must all insist they do uncompromisingly. I don't see many of you doing that on this forum and you believe it is okay blaming one man alone I.e PBAT. Gaslighting others, when you have not accepted fault in the slightest minimum, which is what Atiku and El Rufai etal do, is a sign of being complacent with the problem or even a part of it. Northern leaders should take responsibility and show us something because, to me, they are all suspect with how they cannot show remorse not take direct responsibility for the problem they are causing all of us. Furthermore, Atiku's ungracious attack of Remi Tinubu is valid how? Does she have executive power or office? You guys are all the problem. If Nigerians can muster the courage and face the North squarely and bravely, to give them ultimatums, then insecurity will end. Atiku is simply trying to profit politically. He is not sincere. Best believe if it was Yoruba-led terrorism ravaging the SW then Tinubu, out of office, would sort it. He won't seat around gaslighting whoever is President alone. He will take responsibility to lead by example and galvanise everyone. I don't see Atiku or any of his compatriots doing that. All Northern leaders at all levels (religious, political, cultural etc) know to do is make noise as if Tinubu is behind insecurity when they should be ashamed at how these bandits and terrorists are feted as heroes in the North with many Northerners sponsoring, feeding, hiding and abetting them. We aren't serious in Nigeria and only know how to gnash teeth when the worst happen. |
Kukutente23:Ia something wrong with you? He is a former Vice President and a leader. He can do a lot by organising and lobbying for solutions without being in office. This is why Tinubu is far better than Atiku and the Agulu fraud. Since Tinubu stepped down as governor in 2007, he has never let Lagos go. Always liaising with stakeholders to safeguard the interest of Lagos. That is a real and natural leader. You are the one who should think before typing. |
The bitter, frustrated and vitriolic Atiku sinking to a new low. It is now Remi Tinubu he wishes attack as if she has any executive power or authority. While he is pretending to be concerned about the security of Nigeria, he should tell us why he was happy sojourning In Dubai for years, including under Buhari, while security got considerably worse in his region of origin and he said/did nothing. Charity begins at home. A man who does not care to prioritise and tackle problems in his home will be concerned about the entire village how? |
Igbophobia:I can agree with your talk here. I have said it countless times we must hold the North to task for Nigeria to improve. Why is any Northerner, when we have not seen their Amotekun-style effort to defeat terrorism and banditry they are causing Nigeria, be agitation to be President of our nation? |
Mbanda:Shut up. Did this start with Tinubu? |
Flangelo12:😅😅😅😅 |
FSBoperator:Lol. |
zeuss:Lol. You lot will always wish evil on Yorubas and the SW because you blame us for not supporting your civil war misadventure. Sharia anywhere in the SW cannot happen even as I know you lot are drooling over the possibility. Who God has blessed , I.e Yorubas, let no man curse. |
UncleAyo:Good thread Sir. Solutions provision is the responsibility of everyone of us. We can and must lobby Government to do more if only we understand leaders are our servants and not the other way round. We have so many serious problems in Nigeria yet Nigerians remain very poor at taking leaders to task and presenting specific solutions they want as you have done here. Let's be factually honest, how many are those causing 230 million people insecurity, death and mayhem? USA pegged the number at 30,000. I believe that to be Conservative and feel the figure is likely closer to 400,000 if we are talking direct combatants (terrorists and bandits) plus their sponsors and assistants/co-conspirators at local level. We have to all think about how to secure Nigeria. As PBAT said, security is not the responsibility of one man alone i.e the President. |
Some good suggestions egbon AY. I particularly like suggesttion 7 I.e "Swift Prosecution of Serious Crimes". Nigeria has become soft on serious crime and I think it is because the most serious and heinous of crime, murderous terrorism and banditry, has an ethnic dimension because it is mainly the preserseve of the Fulanis. We are all watching, with some Southerners even working for Atiku, when we should all be united telling Northerners to take responsibility for the serious problems they are causing for our nation or we leave. They have no business seeking power since we know, at all levels, taking in leaders and followers, they are in bed with terror and banditry. We don't see their effort to tame terrorism and banditry as we saw SW Governors and legislators valiantly fight insecurity with Amotekun. Southerners must insist on this aspect of the fight against terror i.e taking the North to task. Northerners will continue to misbehave believing there is no consequences at all with there menace threatening to derail the nation that belongs to all of us. The main crux of fighting insecurity is smart tech, DNA and biometric capacity taking in facial recognition once face of marauders are identified. This is how the USA can remotely assassinate their enemies in different continents. That component is expensive though and must be adopted gradually and incrementally. Additionally, I will add that dwellers of rural areas, especially the young and agile, receive self-defence and weapon training from security experts so that isolated communities are not entirely powerless against these demonic marauders. What I feel can be directly productive is for Government to attach liaison security officers to every LGA. It is possible ,as we have 774 LGAs in the entire Nigeria, to train Nigerians to defend themselves and use simple tools like heightened surveillance and communication to quickly galvanise action against marauders. Money is key against insecurity because it is expensive to fight it due to what we have failed to do for decades to adequately upgrade our policing and crime-fighting. Government must seek to directly train Nigerians to be their own first respondents and gaurdians against insecurity. |
