I remember very well in 2023 that many Yorubas voted for Peter Obi; in fact, my best friend (a Yoruba man) almost got himself in trouble because of his support for Peter Obi in Oyo State in that election.

I live in the diaspora, and I have been helped tremendously by Igbo people, so much that I gave one of my children an Igbo name even though I am Yoruba (from Ibadan, Oyo State, "Agbo-Ile Aremo" ).

I strongly believe that Peter Obi is the best candidate of all the prominent contestants we have right now, for three major reasons.

1. He's the cleanest of all (I am not saying that he's a saint).
2. He's going to give hope to Nigeria that our vote can truly count, and that the people have the power to chart the course of the future of our nation.
3.You cannot clean up a dirty plate with a dirty rag.

Now, I have had many issues with the way Igbos insult Yorubas, calling us all kinds of names; it grieves me so much because, after supporting an Igbo Presidential Candidate so much in 2023 (I speak for many Yoruba people in Nigeria), the least we would expect from Peter Obi supporters who are Igbo is to at least acknowledge the fact that Peter Obi wouldn't have gotten the votes he got in 2023 if not for the contributions of Yorubas (and other ethnic groups), especially the votes he got in the South West.

Tinubu doesn't represent all Yorubas, and yes, I understand the sentiments of his (Tinubu) supporters; I mean the ones that are not doing it for the money. I understand that tribe can be of significant importance when choosing one's leader, just that some of us have seen/grown beyond that.

This is a call to all Igbo Peter Obi supporters to please tone down their hateful words towards the Yoruba people; evil doesn't have a color or tribe; evil deeds are individual-based.

Peter Obi is not the best. Far from it. He is the worst. A proper diasporan would know that based on the assumption you should understand the Diaspora works well on set premises like efficient tax collection, aiding infrastructural development , healthcare delivery, social services, communal maintenance etc,

Values Tinubu has traditionally being strong on from his days as Governor that Obi lacked and could not even identify.

PBAT was first Governor since 1999, go and verify, to go to the bond market to raise funds for infrastructural development of Lagos rather than approach Abuja and OBJ with begging bowl as all other Governors dedicated themselves to doing.

Even with allocation forfeiture, Tinubu innovatively kept Lagos moving forward increasing IGR, security and public service tremendously with LAWMA, LAMATA, LASTMA etc

Obi is a romanticised fantasy with no substance whatsoever.

These are simple algorithmic comparisons showing who can do what and who can deliver Nigeria.

I am Yoruba and a Diasporan, like you also, but back in Nigeria running a few businesses as many of us have moved back to operate because the environment is becoming more sane and opportunity-laden thanks to the policies and reforms of PBAT.

I get extremely disappointed when I read from some of you in the diaspora because it appears you don't appreciate the discipline it has taken to get the diaspora nations we live in, the UK for example, to get where they are.

What was Obi's efficacy per tax collection as Anambra Governor whereas the world knows Tinubu was virtually best in Nigeria , especially taxation of businesses with funds being deployed to develop Lagos.
