Compartmentalizing police forces is now crucial because of Nigeria's size, peculiarity of States and the decay to the NPF that has now made it essentially worthless.

One thing State policing will do is immediately raise standards of policing and promote healthy competition.

Lagos, for example, will lead and set standard with tech and intel-driven policing. States with well-meaning and progressive leadership will follow.

It is the way it must be because our policing standards has been stagnant, perhaps even gone backwards, over decades now to be archaic in comparison to best global standards.
