Celebrities / 5 Reasons Why Erigga Should Win At The Headies Awards 2018 by WizPrince1(m): 2:23pm On Apr 23, 2018 |
Erigga's voice has been heard again? You are not the only one who's happy for that, we as well. There's no better way to represent the street hustle than how the famous rapper from Warri has done and yet, accomplishing more. I used to tell people that every Warri rapper/artist is extraordinary, and this is what they stand to represent; "The Street Hustle". Be that as it may, how about we talk him being on the twelfth Headies Award 2018? Early last year 2017, Erigga signed to Emirate Empire, a record label situated in Lagos, Nigeria. At the point when the news broke out, we couldn't hold the delight and bliss that had arrived in light of the fact that we've generally needed another and better stage for him because of his unwavering soul in rousing the youths in the streets. When he at last left Warri to Lagos, he completed a recognition flix to his roots where everything started; letting them know with style that he's presently in Lagos. Likewise telling the nation as a whole, the wrong doings going on in the south. It's an album he titled "A Trip To The South". Such a staggering one with crushing street slanted tunes. Erigga is one rapper that we will dependably support and root for on Primetweets, with regards to accolades since it's a platform to being more perceived, and being on the nominee rundown in the lofty Headies Award, is the fundamental motivation behind why we should bolster him more. It's National, It's Official. A week prior, The Headies released their official nominee list. We took time to check every one of the classifications and saw the Warri decent on 2 categories "BEST RAP ALBUM (A Trip To The South)" and "BEST RAP SINGLE (Industry Nite)". Being on two spots can't just be by good fortune, it demonstrates his voice has been heard once more. Yet, just inside a year in Lagos? Goodness! That being stated, I'll be auditing the significant reasons why we are rooting for Erigga to win at the twelfth Headies 2018. See them underneath. 5 Reasons Erigga Should Win at the 12th Headies 2018 1. He's Hardworking Erigga is one artist that has buckled down for himself to be perceived, with the goal that his words will be known and increased in value by the public. The entire Warri and South all in all know him for his tenacious soul and that's a plus to him. Winning at the Headies will make him work harder. 2. He Motivates He has this ability of motivating individuals to work harder in whatever they're doing to succeed for a living. This is done through his songs, moved down with epic verses. Winning at the Headies will rouse him to accomplish more. 3. He Says The Truth Clearly, someone who gives careful consideration to his verses can confirm this. Some people often say his words are 'excessively crude' and along these lines, they barely fathom reality in the rubbish. In case you're in that classification, I encourage you to benevolently repair that today since that I'd say is his uniqueness. Winning at the Headies will give him strength to spit reality at the National level. You know what I mean! 4. Street Boys Love Him Who are Street Boys? These are those individuals hustling to bring home the bacon in the streets. Those helping themselves with no help from any one. Those attempting to push ahead. These folks can't go a day without tuning in to one of Erigga's songs as it's a wellspring of inspiration to them. Winning at the Headies will influence them to love him more. 5. It's His Time Every one of those in same category with him have tasted grandness endless times and their voices are thesame. We and every other person needed something new and for Erigga to be on 2 categories demonstrates it's his opportunity to triumph. Winning at the Headies will make this time the best time. NOTE: ERIGGA WAS NOMINATED IN 2012 HEADIES ON THE CATEGORY OF LYRICIST ON THE ROLL BUT DIDN'T WIN. LET'S HOPE FOR THE BEST THIS TIME. The Headies Award 2018 is set to hold on Saturday, May 5th 2018 in Lagos, Nigeria and we'll be there to bring you LIVE updates via Primetweets TV. Do have a nice day! Celebrities / Wizkid And Davido's Reconciliation: A Lesson For Die-hard Fans Of Celebrities by WizPrince1(m): 1:17pm On Jan 04, 2018 |
Here is a core lesson for die-hard fans of celebrities using Wizkid and Davido's Reconciliation as a case study. The year 2017 has gone with its memories and we're going to be starting this New Year with an advice for some set of people in Nigeria's Entertainment Industry prior to the reconciliation between two of our famous artists. 2017 brought so many memories of which we'll never forget. The year ended with an awesome style and there's nothing more awesome than when Wizkid and Davido officially ended their beef on stage at Wizkid's concert in Lagos. The moment Wizkid called out Davido on stage at his concert to perform FIA together, we felt the love that immediately came upon them. Even Davido had to retweet this love by featuring him on his concert too, being the last most anticipated event of the year in 2017. They both made us understand that this year, 2018 will be promising for them and we're all waiting. Indeed, I and Primetweets as a whole are wishing them all the best, but this should be a core lesson to die-hard fans of celebrities. THE LESSON Wizkid and Davido had been fighting each other for quite a long time. It was so strong that it also included their fans. When they started it on Social Media, so many of us thought it was those normal publicity stunts but when it came out live and got fans fighting each other on shows and in the streets, that's when we knew it was something else. Nonetheless, I know that celebrities do engage in fights, but definitely, they'll reconcile. The only thing that pains me is when fans will start fighting and killing themselves over people they barely know. These fans who claim to be die-hard fails to understand that these celebrities, in general, don't care about them the way they do or think. Take for example, that Hurricane disaster that occurred in Houston, Texas, we all saw how top United States celebrities contributed to help people that were affected. They did that because they know their fans were affected too, aside from that, it was because of the love they have for them. I even wrote a post on it HERE. There's no public affected issue in the US that you won't see their celebrities helping out. In Nigeria, it is all different. You'll barely see our celebrities help on such occasions. All they do is to be forming kings and queens on Social Media, snapping how they live expensive life - saying they're motivating their fans. This is Rubbish! Recall when flooding occurred in Benue immediately after that Houston's Hurricane Harvey, I was even thinking Nigerian celebrities would do something spectacular after seeing their fellows in the US. All my expectations came void as nothing happened even as people were suffering. Perhaps, our celebrities were all waiting for the Government to help as they felt it doesn't concern them. This same fans that suffered from such disasters are still the people that will be fighting themselves over some celebrities because they're supporting them. What sense does it make fighting over someone that can't help you when you're dying? These fans are still the ones that will insult me for writing this as a lesson because they won't still understand. But trust me, I'll always tell you the truth as it's what I'm made for as an Entertainment Blogger. We should only be fans of their music and not by killing ourselves over their personal lives. When they notice that none of their fans is killing themselves over them, they'll stylishly settle their differences. As a fan of celebrities, I just hope you learn something out of this. Stick to this and make 2018 a better year for yourself and the Entertainment Industry in Nigeria. Let's grow! Please add your comments let's discuss. Do have a nice day. Thank You! Benjom: ABIOLAXYZ: Living Things was released in 2016 and Harrysong's Arabanko didn't trend to the extent of being on the list. The song, Joromi is #31. The reason we didn't add it at 30 was that all the songs that made it was more popular and Joromi was popular among some set of people. But now I know I truly made a big mistake of not including it in top 20. I never knew the song was this known. Below is the updated list. UPDATED: SEE THE CHANGES BELOW Top 10 Nigerian Songs 2017 1. Music/Radio / Top 10 Nigerian Songs 2017: Top 30 Most Popular Music In Naija by WizPrince1(m): 10:53am On Dec 30, 2017 |
The year has finally reached an end and this is the ideal time we show you the top 10 Nigerian songs 2017 and alongside top 20 and 30 respectively. These are the best songs in Nigeria; the most popular songs in Naija in 2017, songs that made people's moments regardless of critics. While our Nigerian singers and rappers are trying their best to release hit songs, 2017 truly helped make things easier as we recorded more popular songs contrasted with previous years. Nigeria's Music Industry is genuinely the number one in Africa and I don't think anybody would argue about this. All things considered, Nigerian artists are talented and our style of music is unique and can't be duplicated. Sometimes, when I hear people complain about it, I simply whisper to them that "We can't be like them", that is the reason we are different. Trust Pius Princewill, whenever I write concerning Nigeria's Entertainment Industry, I make efforts not to be partial and always give in my best amidst critics. These songs below were chosen in view of popular releases from January 2017 down to December 2017. The criteria I used as a part of selecting them did not depend on how informative they are, but rather their popularity - the rate at which people were familiar with them. These songs didn't just trend in Lagos, however, they were spread all over the country. I took time to draft out every one of them in a sheet and was even befuddled on the actual song I should include or not. This is the reason I needed to make the list up to 30 so we all could remember those songs we couldn't do without in 2017. Nonetheless, I still got answers from top friends in the industry before listing them here. Let's quickly head on to the post catchphrase. Top Nigerian Songs 2017: Top 30 Most Popular in Naija Top 10 Nigerian Songs 2017 1. Davido – “IF“ 2. Olamide – “Wo“ 3. Runtown – “Mad Over You” 4. Wizkid - "Daddy Yo" 5. Davido – “Fall” 6. Mr Eazi - "Leg Over" 12. Wizkid & Mutay – “Manya” 13. Mayorkun – “Mama“ 14. Reminisce – “Ponmile“ 15. Seyi Shay – “Yolo Yolo“ 16. Falz – “Whedon Sir“ 17. Kiss Daniel – “Yeba“ 18. Runtown – “For Life” 19. Tiwa Savage – “All Over” 20. Wizkid - "Sweet Love" Top 30 Nigerian Songs 2017 21. iLLBliss Ft. Runtown – "Alhaji" 22. Tekno - "Go" 23. Tekno Ft. Wizkid - "Mama" 24. 2Baba – “Gaga Shuffle" 25. Harrysong Ft. Timaya – “Samankwe” 26. Dice Ailes – “Otedola” 27. Niniola – “Maradona” 28. Phyno Ft. Olamide – “Augment” 29. Kiss Daniel – “Sofa” 30. Reekado Banks – “Easy (Jeje)” It's obvious 2017 produced much more hit songs, let's wait and see what 2018 brings. Please feel free to comment what you think about this list and I'll follow up immediately. Let's discuss. Celebrities / Olamide Live In Lagos Concert 2017 Affected By Improper Timing And Planning by WizPrince1(m): 12:52pm On Dec 19, 2017 |
The entertainment biz in Nigeria is something organisers need to take seriously. This is one reason why there ought to have been a re-think in Olamide Live in Concert 2017. As a BIG devotee of Olamide, I didn't feel it that much since I know it's his first time using a stadium for concerts. Well, here's what Primetweets Pius Princewill thinks about the event. The yearly concert which was held in Lagos at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere on Sunday was an effective one yet it wasn't what we were expecting. The stadium is around 24 thousand capacity and we were guaranteed by the organisers of 25 thousand fans however we couldn't draw near to that sum for a major city like Lagos despite the fact that the event was thoroughly promoted. The organisers of the event and Olamide himself haven't said anything yet in regards to why it happened that way but we think it was wrong timing and planning that prompted the low turnout of fans. We comprehend that the indigenous rapper, Olamide has such a large number of fans who might do anything just to watch him perform, however that doesn't imply that it is every time they'll be opportune to appear on occasions. Organising a concert like this, you require three things to put into thought; the audience, the best date and time and the venue. Olamide Live in Concert 2017 organisers neglected to comprehend that such an occasion isn't fit to be done on a Sunday when individuals will be coming back from their places of worship of which they'd likely need a brief period to rest in the wake of bypassing Lagos traffic. This could even make them frail to choose not going anyplace and perhaps when they even choose to go, another idea of being too late would come. I understand that artists like Phyno got Nnamdi Azikiwe's 22 thousand limit Stadium topped off in Enugu, but that is not Lagos. Things are different in Lagos. You should know the kind of fans you have in this city and read their minds. Indeed, even the way the city works, including traffic and insecurity issues. What I think is that, since they needed a place to accommodate every one of his fans, they'd have likewise worked on the date and time as well as ticket fee as it is an open space. If the event was held on a Friday, Saturday or even on Sunday towards evening, it would have been better. Holding occasions at Noon on a Sunday in an open place isn't generally cool in a city like Lagos loaded with "I Too Big" individuals. Indeed, even the sun would frighten people off, not to talk of insecurity. The Eko Hotel they typically use is a closed and well-secured place and it can't be compared with an open 24 thousand capacity stadium like TBS. The fans that will show up at Eko Hotel might not want to associate themselves with street touts coming to the stadium. I hope this is a lesson and next year will be better. Take a look at some photos of the event and what we expected below. Well, Sunday was the grand finale held in South Africa and it was cool but almost everyone is not happy about how the show was organised. In a competition like "The Voice", I think people would love it if the singers are being judged by their performances instead of votes and song choices should be based on how revealing their voices/expression would be and not just any song. People think that, even if there should be votes, it shouldn't come at the quarter-finals through finals. In this stage, they should be judged by their performances and not votes as people can buy them off. We've also got some people saying the 'best singers' are being evicted. Although, they didn't criticize the winner as it's not his fault but the organizers, and Idyl, the winner was in a better position to win also. These and more are complaints being laid by Nigerians on social media, abusing the organizers and the show itself of not being transparent. We took note of some and captured them here for you to read on Primetweets. Do check them out below. http://www.primetweets.com.ng/2017/09/what-nigerians-are-saying-about-the-voice-nigeria.html Cc; Lalasticlala 2 Shares

Celebrity Donations to Houston: What Nigerian Celebrities Can't Do To Help Their Dying Fans The disastrous Hurricane Harvey has crushed the Gulf Coast, claiming lives and flooding huge parts of Texas urban communities like Houston. What's more, now, individuals everywhere throughout the world are venturing up to help the casualties of the gigantic tempest. Various celebrities are going to the guide of casualties in Houston, Texas, who have encountered annihilation after Hurricane Harvey. As per The New York Times, no less than 13 people have died with Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas calling the tempest "one of the largest disasters America has ever faced." Thousands have been set in covers as alleviation and help endeavors continue. Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo shared that he's "really worried about how many bodies we’re going to find." As relief efforts continue, celebrities like Beyoncé and Kevin Hart have vowed to assist the Texas city and more joining their campaign, sending messages and gifts. Atleast, 30+ celebs has demonstrated enthusiasm to help with The Kardashian Family drawing out an entire $500, 000, Chris Brown $100, 000, Nicki Minaj, Drake, DJ Khaled, T.I, Dwayne Johnson "The Rock" with $25, 000 each thus numerous huge names. Kevin Hart's campaign donation is near $1M now while J.J. Watt's is presently $3M. These big names are doing this since they realize that those individuals associated with the catastrophe are their fans. Fans that get things going for them at whatever point anything that worries them is being done. It doesn't generally make a difference who's fan it is or who got harmed, what is important is that they adore and esteem everybody as they do to themselves. In any case, coming to Nigeria, it is all different. Nigerian celebrities "barely" open their eyes to see what their fans are going through, not understanding the fact that these individuals that are confronting this present issue are the general population that pay to watch them perform. Fans that will argue A-Z about Wizkid superior to Davido and Davido superior to Wizkid, fans that lighten up their social media pages with cherishing posts and make them enthusiastic. Indeed, fans they can't do without. I could at present recall when that enormous flood came in 2012 in Nigeria, what people passed through yet at the same time just help from The Government was what they could get. Nigerian big names care-less with regards to the torments of their fans and all they can do is to snap out the world simply to refresh their grams with heaps of money to display. And they will say they're showing off to motivate their fans. To steal, right? In any case, I would like to see them learn now and begin doing something significant at whatever point their fans require their open help on squeezing issues. UPDATE: This was written when Benue State hasn't been flooded but even now that the situation is like this, what impression have you seen from our honoured celebrities? Let's deliberate. ------------------------------- By Pius Princewill http://www.primetweets.com.ng/2017/08/donations-to-houston-nigerian-celebrities-wont-do.html
