Sadly, a lot of republicans like SalmanRushdie and others won't comment on this. People need to stop letting social media influence their lives and their decisions. Much more go on in the background than you think. |
Interesting..... Full of crazy assumptions but then it is fiction. |
ron5ke:I will be there next month. I will let you know once I'm around. |
Wow! How much better could a Nairaland thread be? No childish comment, no derailing, no tribalism. I really learnt a lot on this thread. A lot of other people who went through will be blessed after reading this. Well done to all the contributors. You might have varying views but we learnt from everyone of you. |
Cladez:I'm a Christian but I support Seun's decision. Back then every single Muslim thread was derailed by comments like 'Islamabad', 'Terrorist' 'Book' etc. A page with 30 comments will have just 4 sane comments. Christians hardly get attacked as much as Muslims on Nairaland. I wish you guys were available to see how bad it was then. |
Ebendo123:No problem. You can get them. We deliver by courier and transporter to anywhere in Nigeria. |
Androidking:Yeah. Both of them are cracked and work fully offline without need of Origin |
spreado:None of the banks I use have ever asked for serial number for USSD transactions. That is only needed for online transactions. |
There are some banks that require just the last 4 digits of BVN for transactions. And the BVN can be obtained via USSD inquiry. So this story is very plausible. |
Swtchinny:"Well-crafted job" not "well-craft" 6 hours is too much for $5. You are not a slave. Buyers will think you are not good or professional due to your outrageous rates. Most people charge one hour for $5. You can make yours 2 hours for $5 for a start. As for the tags, you can change that 'copy' tag to 'assistant' to rank higher. As for your translation gig. I will advise you stay away from that. You mentioned French and Russian. Yet those languages are not among the languages you speak on your profile. Google Translate won't work. Many of these guys are smarter than this. Work on your typing gig. The tags are alright but there are other issues. It is focused on typing and yet it is in the proofreading and editing section. You don't even offer any revisions for it. Look at other people in the typing niche and check how they created their gig. Why don't you create an audio transcription gig? Like 15 minutes of audio for $5 etc. Audio transcription is one of the fastest ways to get sales and reviews on Fiverr. It's in line with your niche so you can try it. |

goaldynman:slowpoke you are. Tribalistic gorilla you are. |
After Iniesta scored against Chelsea in 2009, I lost my appetite for 2 days. Felt terrible the whole week. The worst thing was that it was my first ASUU strike as an undergraduate so I had nothing to do but dwell on the match. Up Blues! Keep The Blue Flag Flying High! |
I'm a freelance writer and proofreader. I also sell PC games all over Nigeria. A week ago, I was choked up with too much work, so I doubled my pricing. Sadly, no new orders since then. So, I went back to the former pricing this morning. It's all good though. Now I can finish a large project for a client and I can finish cataloguing my PC games. Planning on a massive rebranding and getting a physical shop. On the writing side, I'm planning to move into Amazon KDP and Wikipedia editing. |
Finstar:You're so right. A lot of people want to start unrealistic businesses without proper planning and in depth knowledge of how things work. People want to build mansions straight without starting from a single room. Some Nigerian game developers want to build a game that will rival Call of Duty without even creating a basic 2D game first. |
The basic truth is OLX, Jumia, Konga and most of these Nigerian internet startups are not yet profitable. They still depend on funds from investors. It took Amazon 10 years to become profitable. E-commerce is a very tough niche to navigate especially in Nigeria where a large percentage don't trust goods bought online. I shake my head for a lot of people that want to jump into eCommerce anyhow without the resources, the innovation and the drive to make a change. No feasibility studies of any kind. |
UrennaNkoli:Wow. You're my senior by years. That's the year I entered the school. |
Kaetoh:You Sir are a tribalistic nincompoop. No single person mentioned tribes on this thread till you came along. Just look at your response. Yoruba mod, Northern Fulani etc. How do you know it's a murder? You've confirmed right? |
