Hi. I am a resident here in Dubai and what I know for sure is that the larger percentage of Taxi owners are locals. Recruitment is through RTA and as to how lucrative the business is, I'm very sure it is a profitable business despite the regular competition with Uber and the likes. I can help you call the appropriate industry to get information.
Thank you very much for the quick response. Please, does it mean that foreigner cannot do the business. Again, please what does RTA stands for?, I will be most great-full if can help me call to get all the necessary information. Thanks in anticipation
Travel / I Want To Start A Transportation (taxi) Business In Dubai by WNKQI: 3:17pm On Jul 29, 2019
I am planning very seriously to diversified my business. i have a well established business here in Nigeria and i wish to set up one in Dubai. I am considering setting up a transportation business there. But i am a kind of confused on how to go about it as i am not used to how UAE business environment is like. I will appreciate if any one leaving in Dubai or any where else can assist me by giving answer to the following questions:

1. What type of license is suitable for this kind of business?
2. Can i have a firm in Dubai that will help me set the company up
3 Apart from assisting to obtain the business License, can i also get a recruitment agency that would help me recruits, carried out background check and train the drivers and other staff.
4. How lucrative is transport service business in Dubai? (I planned to start with 6 cars)
Please, very honest response please.

No doubt...it is duty of the government to provide that enabling environment. So back to my point... what happens when the government is not?... do we sit and wait? What did the Sudanese do? Sudan is where we should be looking for inspiration.... not Dubai. We have that power to make things work.
Nigeria looking for inspiration in Sudan?!!! Very pathetic. to the bolded, Nigeria can never realize that of Sudanes again, read through the comment here and you will understand why it will be difficult. I am APC, I am PDP, I am from the North or from the South etc, sentiment here and there. if the christian talk to the government of the day, muslim will pick on christian and verse versa.

Na so una dey talk.

Been to at least 30 countries.

Not saying Nigeria is thriving, far from it. But there is an infrastructural deficit this administration is addressing.

My question is still simple, those that are crying of hunger, what were they surviving on yesterday.

Of a sudden, people act as if there was one business that was giving power to the people.

Let's know what it is today.

Where is the hunger coming from?
If you are a card carrier of APC, that is not my business. but what i am saying is simple, all the leaders both the past and the present has failed this country. if you like you want to die because of buhari, you are doing that because of ignorance.

So you want to sit and wait for the FG to provide for you? We are so quick to compare..Did Dubai citizens vote in their governmemt?...do they have a say in what their government do?...good/bad? We have that say... we have that power to elect our government.and to hold them accountable. Do we? Compare us to other countries that vote in their leaders.... see their development... but most importantly... see how their citizens avoid hunger by making their elected officials accountable or kicked out of office. People been suffering here regardless of which governmemt... and what do we do?...vote them right back in... then complain all over again. We need to look in the mirror to see who really is responsible for us being poor and suffering.
Stop deceiving yourself. Because you simply line up in election day to vote in Nigeria does give you the power to select your leader, not here in Nigeria. As i look at your statement we are almost of the same page excepting your first sentence. There are somethings individual can not do for themselves, they need enabling environment to strive as a citizen.

Hungry for what?

Have you witnessed any government in Nigeria employ in police, military, customs and even NNPC within 3 years?

There's NPOWER, there's TraderMoni, the question now would be, who exactly are these hungry people?
What will trade morning do for you when you don't have electricity to power your small refrigerator to preserve your goods, what will Npower do when you don't ve accessible road to bring out your farm produce, what would police employment do for you when the Military and police are ill equipt, what will trade money do for you when citizen provide virtually everything for themselves -- water, electricity, Access road etc. tell me what is working in this country. My friend, if you have the opportunity to visit Dubai, UK, USA Even Tazania you will course the day you were borne a Nigerian. Let remove setiment, let talk to Nigeria government, be it PDP or APC. People that are migrated out of Nigeria now are even the Rich, the talented once. go to travel section of Nairaland see what is happening there.

This is one of the reasons why people involve in these get rich quick by any means necessary criminal activities. Regardless of what someone does... we must not judge/condemn because we don't know what was the situation or pridicamemt. Too many of us with that mentality..... until the activity directly affects us.
@ topic.... should she be given the death penalty.... we would be shouting to the FG to go save her.... she made an honest mistake.
People are hungry in Nigeria men, if God bless you and you can feed yourself and family thank God. Let mount pressure on our Government to fix this country. No one want to die when things are going well. Our government has fail us. Visit Dubai and see what the government turn ordinary desert to become. No Dubai citizen involve them selves in menial jobs they are supper rich courtesy their Govt. UAE don't have the resources will have. Nigerians are hungry

Nigeria image is being battered everyday by our compatriots and it's getting out of hand. This is making things difficult for genuine travellers. Something must be done urgently to curb the rate of crime and 'I must make it fast and show off' attitude of our people.

The rate of crime and evil in our society is caused by the failure of parents to train their children the way our forefathers trained their children. I'm a Christian, baptized and confirmed. But I would outrighty ban or regulate religious activities in the country if I were in charge of the affairs of this country because I personally think the proliferation of religious houses hasn't done a thing to make our society better. I don't care if I'm killed in the process.

I remember having a conversation with a foreign lady online, she asked where I was from and I said Nigeria. She immediately told me Nigerians are too intelligent and smart, that she can't have any dealings with people from that country and that was the end of it. It's pathetic!
No is not true, is the rate at wish people are hungry, never in history has things got worst like it is currently in Nigeria. That does not mean i support evil. the truth need to be told. If things does not improve then expect more....hunger some time make you to take unnecessary risk, God forbid

Did you get mail from UKVl indicating that they have dispatch it?

It seems there was no cover letter to explain some financial issues. It seems there is no frequent in and out transaction in the Business account. In all there was poor documentation. When did she submit and how long for the processing

Many thanks Shankar . There was a letter in respect of that but, the letter was not well explained. See attached the letter. I will appreciate if you can give us way in which we can explain the refusal to ECO. As for this second application he is sponsoring him self, so all expenses trip is from his pocket.
No na, even the letter is too shallow. It does not reflect any ingredient from a corporate entity. it look more like a cook up story. Settle down, let your MD or HRM draft a good letter, for example, the last sentence of that letter is not necessary. I am not trying to run it down.
