Politics / Re: Revenue Received By Governor Peter Obi Of Anambra State. by wolesmile(m): 5:20pm On Jul 16, 2023
IGBOSON1:
It's always been clear to me that either Obi is incapable of managing the states finances, hence leading to leakages and pilfering here and there; or he's a monumental thief, presiding over the biggest looting spree Anambra has ever witnessed! Either way, it's not looking good for Anambrans!

After 8 freaking years as Governor, there are no world class structures, and no plethora of industries setting up shop in the state as should have been the case; no city in Anambra that one can look on with pride; no world class hospitals or university to boast of; there's nothing besides that beer factory and a couple of substandard local gov't level projects for a whole freaking 8 years of budgeting and planning! Yet, some mofos want the status-quo to continue?

And suddenly, Obi is now a Saint capable of leading Nigeria to the promised land.

We go get sense one day.

I laugh out loud when people trust that Tinubu will get a loan of 500 billion naira to share as subsidy palliative

We’re roughly 250 million in Nigeria so share 500 billion naira to 250 million persons it’s should be 2k each

What can you do with 2k as a palliative

If Tinubu really mean well for the country why don’t he share 10% of his loots

I mean this a man worths over 9 billion dollars

If you like no go hustle dey wait for Tinubu 2k that won’t even reach 97% of Nigerians

Money that will be stolen and shared to few APC leaders while Helinus Madridguy and the rest sleep on empty stomach

If you believe a drug peddler that risks his life for money will hole heartily share a free funds to the masses then you must be deluded
Start thinking like you're learned nah. So you expect the palliative to be given to children and dependents too? If we are approximately 250M, have you forgotten we are in units of family? We have the high income earners, who won't be part of the palliative. This is just for low income and some middle income earners. The target is for 60 million.

Majority, or everyone don't get what GWR is driving at. They didn't say they are rejecting record breaking attempts by Nigerians. But they should stop categorizing everything as "This-a-thon" or "That-a-thon."

Also disturbing is the continued disruption of business and social activities in the South East region over the Sit-at-Home directive purported to be coming from the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, when the body has publicly denied issuing such directive. What is going on in the South East therefore is essentially a criminal activity that must be nipped in the bud, with all hands being on deck, security agencies, and the people alike.

Politics / Re: How Long Will 2500# Palliative Go This Govt Is A JOKE by wolesmile(m): 8:30am On Jul 13, 2023
So who told you it is 2500 per individual?

They said our estimated population is 200,000,000. These include the aged, the active young, and the children. So you're counting the very old and the children too as part of those to consider for anything?
They already said the palliative is for 50,000,000 average family. An average family of a father, mother and four children already gives you our estimated population

Try keep this relevance till 2039. Cos by 2027, Asiwaju will get his second term till 2031. Then power will go back to the North for another 8 years.

Good luck, Mr Obi.

Yes!

From 1999 till date

That lady was even trying to argue that there was no ECOWAS during Obasanjo's 8 years. Imagine the level of ignorance. Ecowas that I have known since the late 80s in secondary school? That's why we have kids on the internet interpreting the law the way it suits them these days. The more reason I just laugh when I see kids comment on the ongoing PEPT.
People don't read again. They don't strive to acquire knowledge.

From 1999 till date

You were the one that made reference to Obasanjo being ECOWAS chairman. I said in my earlier comment he was not as a civilian president. Then the person that posted the earlier comment asked me when ECOWAS was formed. So I lectured her. Go look at my comment you replied to.
Obasanjo was ECOWAS Chairman in '75. He never became the chairman in his 8yr rule, though I think he headed the African Union. It was your comment too that made me go back to Shagari and Abacha era.
One thing I'll dispute with anybody again is that it is Nigeria's turn. Nothing like that in ECOWAS Chairmanship. We have the anglophone, the francophone and one Portuguese speaking member states. It it were rotational, it won't be Nigeria's turn now, cos PMB was the Chairman between 2019 and 2021. Over the years its always been between the francophone and the anglophone. They have always lobbied for it. Then they get to elect at their meeting.

The fact still remains they were all former Ecowas Chairmen

Shagari was never Ecowas Chairman.

Go and get your fact right before you spew trash. When was ECOWAS formed. Was Obasanjo an ECOWAS within his 8 years yes or no?
It is now the turn of Nigeria that was why Tinubu got it. It is not an election my friend. Name those who contested with Tinubu and how many did he scored to emerge the chairman?
Go check the list of ECOWAS chairmen since 1975 when it was formed. The contest is always between francophone and anglophone countries. It is not by "Turn." It is by lobby.
