Phones / Re: Why You Should NOT Subscribe To Ntel Internet Service by WonderJohn(m): 9:09pm On Feb 02, 2020
When my house first bought ntel, we were getting speeds of 30mbps (Which when converted to download speed is about 3.75MBps.) and I am happy to say that we were in that range, this was years ago. Now, I am not expecting that same speed over time but at least, at fucking least 2MBps or even worse comes to worse 1MBps. But no, I can't even get 600kBps download speed at all, not during the night, day or afternoon. What the hell has happened, their portal isn't working, if you subscribe to a data plan you therefore cannot monitor your data, you can't subscribe through ntel, you must use Jumia or quickteller. Like, what the hell. What happened to you guys. If your network speeds were at least still good, maybe in the range of 1.5MBps - 2.6MBps I wouldn't mind much. And that is not an unreasonable request, because fucking Airtel has exactly those speeds. I have been using them since 31st January and it has been so beautiful, yes, they may not have an unlimited plan but, with the same 18,500 i pay on ntel, i can get through the month still doing my basic online routine day after day. Ntel, you guys are officially the worst network in Nigeria. EVEN FUCKING GLO is faster than Ntel, let that sink in.

Abeg is it only me or has ntel started misbehaving
What do you mean started? grin grin grin. Ntel has been trash for quite a while. 400 - 500kBps downlod speed. Airtel gives me like 1.9 - 2.7 MBps download speed. And, it's not my area. My house, we were one of the earliest customers for ntel when their speeds were 30mbps (which when you divide by 8 you get "download speed" which we were getting about 3.25 - 3.75MBps download speeds, *sigh* those were the good ole days). If you are still using ntel, you must be a masochist, you can't check your data, their portal isn't working, their speeds are fucking ass. I have dropped ntel. Their unlimited plan is no excuse for their very very very poor service and internet speed

It's either jarus just wants to pull our legs for the last time or he was never sure of his time frame. All dis new stories are c0ck and bull stories.
That's a fair critique but then you must also ask why he would embark on something so trivial. We don't know him, maybe he is a jobless dude, but we can't have an opinion based on nothing. Either way you feel, more information is needed before you decide to say such a thing

Is this a fucking Joke. The genesis of this story happens on page 1528 where Jarus details how his sharing of the story has created friction between him and his source based on the issue that arose in the towers. is NNPC fucking serious, you leave us in the dark for more than half a year and someone gives us information and you want to cause trouble. I see some people talking about secrecy but, this isn't the time for that. 1. No organisation whether public or private is extremely secretive about recruiting potential staffs, cuz those potential staffs are most likely all strangers that will talk about the recruitment regardless. There is no NDA for applying for a job. 2. and most importantly, NNPC is a government organisation, secrecy is not something they are entitled to. 3. If they are going to release the APL, won't they still have to announce it in advance anyway (maybe like a week or maybe like 4 days in advance).
Jarus thank you for your sacrifice and doing the right thing. I can't tell you not to feel bad, I don't know what relationship you had with your source and how that has been affected, but, my condolences.
This is a new low. Now nobody knows anything anymore. Will they release it in March or this month. I wonder why knowing the date is somehow counterproductive to NNPC's agenda. Whether we know the date or not, it will release on that day so what is their issue. Is the external political pressure causing them to try and release it secretly (Which I dont get why, maybe I don't know any better). I just don't get it at all

This place is for passing around information, rumours and speculation. I don't think anyone here is salty or childish enough to start draggin Jarus' ass because his information didn't manifest. Jarus, you have done very good work in realying information. Whether or not the scenario you have described comes to pass, we are greatful for all the assisstance you have provided. Thank you. And that goes for all you gentlemen and ladies ensuring that everyone of us here is consistently in the loop.

His reply looks like he's applicant, and he's only speculating.
It doesn't sound like source at all.
And when did NNPC equal NLNG?
When PA, GM, HR blah blah sef no sure about the release date.
Not to talk of ordinary worker in NLNG.

I have a feeling all these people you have mentioned, PM, GM, HR, they know dates, or rather dates they have been given. But due to the crazy amount of last minute changes, nothing seems certain anymore. Only the GMD knows when these letters will be sent out. The man has been providing inconsistencies with regards to the APls with all the staff that he meets with to discuss the recruitment itself. You night theorize it that way, could explain why people with actual sources sometimes have conflicting information. I don't know who Jarus spoke to with regards to his blogpost but, if he felt confident enough to alter his blog, maybe it was either the GMD himself or someone that can guarantee that the letters will be sent out with or without any of those pesky last minute changes.
But no source so far has even mentioned the court case at all. No staff, not even the guy who the sun newspaper spoke to (the public relations guy or whatever he is called). They might be keeping it private cuz it's a legal battle or maybe they are keeping it quiet cuz they are just bribing the plaintiffs to leave them alone. I don't know

Whatever is clever, man.

Any source that can't check for one's name is not a sure source, even if the source is true.
I understand your reservations. It is very wise to be skeptical. No problem

I like this.
Many 'sauce' people, will be shocked by the outcome of this APL

I didn't overhear the phone conversation and she was referred to by my father as "This person..." I just assumed it was a man. My mistake. Regardless, the information provided is still the same as I stated. I was bringing to light that information with soon shouldn't be shared because it means nothing at this point.

The GGM HR is a woman though.
I didn't know that. My father's exact quote started with "This person..." not "This nigga...." I was paraphrasing. I didn't hear the phone conversation but I assumed it was a man. Regardless, the information remains the same

My Brothers and Sisters, Please, if you receive information that boils down to the phrase "It will be released soon" without a time frame or a date, please just leave it out of the information pool. Soon in NNPC terms can be a week or 3 months (as with when the GMD said "Soon" since November). I want as much information as the next man but at this point, I think we can all collectively agree that as a word, "soon" has lost all meaning to us.
My father spoke to the GGM HR (This week monday) and he said soon and I was like dafuq. My father just looked at me and essentially said "This nigga is so far in the dark, but he just wants to say something cuz he doesn't want to feel like his position isn't important". So people no more updates with soon, we get it, soon has been flying all around but now it just causes anxiety.
The only man that knows the true release date is the GMD himself. I don't know why he is still delaying and feeding his staff various amounts of inconsistent information.

Update: The information from the GGM HR above was relayed to me by my father. I didn't overhear the conversation they had on the phone and I have been rightfully informed that I have misgendered the GGM HR, who is a woman. I however assumed the person was a man and I paraphrased the information related to me by my father using phrases like "This Nigga..." instead of what he actually said which was "This person..." However, I got the gist of his discussion with her clearly. I apologise for that mischaracterisation.

Dude seriously, this is getting depressing and sad. Why can't you just leave everyone in this forum alone. You don't like how we are holding on to weak strings fair enough. However, you have stated your will for us to move on and yet you remain and continue to demonise us for holding onto this forum. What is wrong with you? Why can't people like you and the likes of Muhamm3d just leave people alone. You have stated your opinion, you have converted no one so just leave. I don't get it? You and your group make this place more and more unbearable. I come here to seek information as I do from many other places. I come here and you turn it into ridicule or a fight. If you have legit info, share it. Nobody knows the whole truth at this point. Information gathering is crucial no matter how crazy it might sound. Even as at now you won't believe the insane amounts of nepotism that plague the list of Experience Hires.
