[quote author=Nawaaoh post=80214779]A popular Manhattan church has parted ways with its first female senior pastor after complaints she took fellow ministers on a s.ex toy shopping spree and bought one of them an unwanted vibrator.
On May 15, Butler allegedly took two Riverside assistant ministers and a female congregant to a sex shop in Minneapolis called the Smitten Kitten, during a religious conference, according to sources familiar with the out-of-town shopping excursion.
At the store, the pastor bought a $200 bunny-shaped blue vibrator called a Beaded Rabbit for one minister — a single mom of two who was celebrating her 40th birthday — as well as more pleasure gadgets for the congregant and herself, sources said.
The female minister didn’t want the s.ex toy, but accepted it because she was scared not to, sources said.
Butler also offered to buy a s.ex toy for the second minister — a gay man in a committed relationship — but he declined.

Johnnyessence: Eniola Akinkuotu , Jesusegun Alagbe and Tobi Aworinde A company in which Vice- President Yemi Osinbajo has a stake , Simmons Coopers Partners , has been linked to another firm, Ocean Trust Limited , which was fingered in an alleged N 100 bn scam involving Alpha Beta Consulting Limited and Alpha Beta LP . Ocean Trust Limited , which was accused of being a conduit for diversion and laundering of funds by Alpha Beta , listed Simmons Coopers as its company secretary , documents exclusively obtained from the Corporate Affairs Commission by Saturday PUNCH showed . Simmons Coopers was listed as a company in which Prof Yemi Osinbajo ( now Vice- President ) had a stake in his asset declaration form in 2015, according to the statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity , Garba Shehu. In a petition submitted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in July 2018, Dapo Apara , the erstwhile managing director of Alpha Beta , had alleged that Alpha Beta owed the Federal Government N 100 bn in unpaid taxes spanning over 10 years , adding that the firm usually laundered funds through another firm, Ocean Trust Limited . He alleged that the firm was being protected by powerful politicians . The petition by Apara ’s lawyer , Adetunji Adegboyega , read in part, “Over the years , the company ( Alpha Beta ) has been protected and shielded by some powerful politicians and people in the society which made them to always boast of being untouchable. “But our client , feeling the need not to keep quiet again and strengthened by his belief in the fact that the government of President Muhammadu Buhari is keen on fighting corruption which has been the bane of our country , is of the firm view that it is time to expose and open the can of worms called Alpha Beta Consulting . “Our client is of the firm belief that it is time for the commission to step in and conduct a holistic investigation into the activities of Alpha Beta Consulting Limited and Alpha Beta LLP with a view to uncovering the massive corruption , money laundering , tax evasion , etc., going on in the company. “Kindly note that one of the companies being used to perpetrate money laundering by the company is still another company named Ocean Trust Limited .” Osinbajo ’ s reaction When contacted on the relationship between Osinbajo’ s firm, Simmons Coopers and Ocean Trust, the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice- President on Media , Mr Laolu Akande , said he would not comment on the matter unless Saturday PUNCH showed him the document indicating Simmons Coopers was Ocean Trust’s company secretary . READ ALSO : How Yuguda, Abubakar mismanaged N 2 tn – Bauchi gov But , a source close to Osinbajo told Saturday PUNCH that “the Vice President has since 2014 left the firm . There is no interest there anymore .” The source added , “And I think you should talk to the EFCC about its own decisions. It does not make sense that the EFCC will say it is not prosecuting or , as you say , investigating or probing ( the allegations ) because of what you claimed . ” However , Osinbajo in 2015 listed Simmons Coopers as one of his companies in his asset declaration form . Where is Ocean Trust ? Saturday PUNCH , which investigated Ocean Trust Limited for three months, conducted a search at the Corporate Affairs Commission . It was noted during a CAC search that the firm was registered with number 419706 on January 5 , 2011 , and is located at 684 , Idowu Taylor Street , Victoria Island , Lagos and had Gboyega Iyiola and Kunle Akinniyi as shareholders at the inception both of whom relinquished their shares two days later on January 7 , 2011 . One of documents exclusively obtained from the Corporate Affairs Commission Incidentally , the property where Ocean Trust Limited is located shares the same address with the office of former Governor Bola Tinubu of Lagos State known as ‘Freedom House ’. All efforts to contact Ocean Trust Limited proved futile as investigations by Saturday PUNCH showed that the company might no longer be in operation . Also , attempts to speak with its management turned out to be a wild goose chase. When one of our correspondents visited the company’s address at the Freedom House , Plot 684 , Idowu Taylor Street, a fair -complexioned lady , who said she was an employee of Ocean Trust Limited , told Saturday PUNCH that the company was no longer located there . When asked if it was true that the firm was being used to launder funds for Alpha Beta , the lady , who refused to identify herself , asked our correspondent to send an email which she would forward to her boss . Over three weeks after one of our correspondents sent her an email , a response was still being awaited as of the time of filing this report on Friday . A visit to Ocean Trust’ s second listed address at 42 Norman Williams Avenue , Ikoyi , Lagos yielded no positive result as the compound looked deserted having been overtaken by weeds . Another document obtained from the CAC … Saturday PUNCH met with a lady , who simply gave her name as Blessing, and confirmed that the place was being used by Ocean Trust. She , however , said she could not speak on any issue as the place was only a correspondence office . YOU MAY ALSO LIKE : Why I accused Abiodun Jimoh of sexual abuse – Omo Ibadan After a brief chat, she gave one of our reporters a phone number that she claimed belonged to an accountant with Ocean Trust . When Saturday PUNCH called the number , a man who picked the phone said he was not a staff member of the company. After one of our correspondents told Blessing that the ‘accountant ’ denied working for Ocean Trust, she referred him to the head office on 9 Grace Anjous Street , Lekki Phase I to make an enquiry . When one of our correspondents got to the address , a male receptionist initially confirmed that the office belonged to Ocean Trust. However , after an introduction as a journalist, he retracted his statement and said the premises belonged to Paragon Holdings and only delivered correspondences to Ocean Trust. He said , “Ocean Trust is not one of our partners ; they used to use here to receive correspondences , but they no longer come here . “They are not our partners again . Here , we only deal with their files , both physical and electronic .” While questioning the receptionist on why he had earlier admitted that the place belonged to Ocean Trust, another man emerged from one of the offices in the building and said Ocean Trust was no longer in existence . He said , “To the best of my knowledge , Ocean Trust is not functioning . We only receive correspondences for them , but in terms of business , they stopped existing before the end of the ( former Lagos State Governor Babatunde) Fashola ’s administration . We don’t even know who they are. They ’ve folded up since . ” EFCC yet to take action One year after Apara ’s petition , the EFCC has yet to take any action on the matter . The EFCC spokesman , Tony Orilade, had said in February that the petitioner should send a reminder as the petition could not be traced . In a recent chat with Saturday PUNCH on why the commission had refused to respond to media inquiries for over a month, the EFCC spokesman asked one of our correspondents to give him more time to react . Efforts made thereafter to get a response from the EFCC did not yield result . As of Friday when this report was being filed , Orilade had yet to respond . Apara , who accused the firm of tax evasion to the tune of N 100 bn , also told Saturday PUNCH that the EFCC had yet to contact him a year after the petition had been submitted . “I have still not been contacted by the EFCC,” he said in response to an inquiry. Alpha Beta ’ s controversies Alpha Beta Consulting was awarded a contract by the Tinubu -led government after a recommendation by a committee comprising the then attorney -general of Lagos State , Prof Osinbajo ( now the Vice -President ); Mr Wale Edun , the then commissioner for finance ; and a former commissioner for economic planning and budget , Yemi Cardoso . READ ALSO : Lawmakers probe alleged conversion of govt assets by Okorocha The firm was subsequently given exclusive rights to collect taxes on behalf of Lagos State and was believed to receive about 10 per cent commission from the revenue it collected for the state . However , pro- transparency groups and opposition politicians have constantly alleged that Tinubu owns Alpha Beta . In 2012 , a Lagos -based medical doctor , Dominic Adegbola, filed a Freedom of Information request to state authorities , seeking detailed information on all Alpha Beta contracts with Lagos State since 1999 . But the state ’s Attorney- General then , Ade Ipaye , ( now Osinbajo’s chief of staff ) , rejected the request , insisting that the FoI was a federal law that did not apply to the states . However , in November 2017, a state judge ruled that the FoI was applicable to Lagos State . The judge said the law was duly enacted by the National Assembly and did not require domestication to take effect in states . When one of our correspondents visited the office of Alpha Beta at the Lagos Water Corporation Building , Ijora Causeway , Lagos , the company’s Head of Corporate Support Services and General Counsel , Mr Omogbemi Adelagun , said the matter was already in court and , therefore , he could not comment on the issue . “If the matter had not been taken to court, we would have been able to react to it. So , right now , we cannot say anything until the court rules on the case ,” he said . Alpha Beta LLP had , however , said in an advertorial in response to the allegations levelled against it by its former MD that the accusations were illogical and false . The advertorial read in part, “Alpha Beta has been visibly engaged by the Lagos State Government since 2002 as a forensic , internal control and enhancement adviser . In working with the state , Alpha Beta helped develop the state ’s centralised transaction platforms , the precursor to the present -day Treasury Single Account .” The firm said at the time it entered into the contract with Lagos State , the state was taking in the sum of N 600 m in internally generated revenue per month but things had since changed for the better . Former MD heads to court Meanwhile , the Alpha Beta ’s former managing director , Apara , has approached a Federal High Court , Abuja , “directing an investigation to be made by the Corporate Affairs Commission into the conduct of Alpha Beta Consulting Limited .” Apara , who said he had been and remained a director of the firm since its incorporation, with control of 30 per cent of its shares value, also alleged that the financial records of the company filed with the CAC and tax authorities did not reflect the actual profits of the company or of its directors . He alleged among others in the suit that he and shareholders of the company were being owed their remunerations . Also praying for the takeover of the management of the company by an appointee of the court, the suit urged the court “to appoint a receiver or a receiver manager of the property of Alpha Beta Consulting Limited .” The suit , couched as a “ petition ” and brought under the Companies Proceedings Rules and Order 5 of the Federal High Court ( Civil Procedure ) Rules 2009, was filed on November 9 , 2018 and marked FHC / ABJ / PET/ 2018. When contacted on the telephone , a former Senior Partner at Simmons Coopers, Babatunde Irukera, said he had never heard of Ocean Trust Limited and wondered how Simmons Coopers could have served as its company secretary . Irukera , who is now the Executive Secretary , Consumer Protection Council and had served as managing partner at Simmons Coopers during the time in question , directed our correspondent to another partner , Victoria Alonge . Alonge told Saturday PUNCH that she had never heard of Ocean Trust Limited and asked Saturday PUNCH for more time . She said Simmons Coopers had checked all its records and had not found Ocean Trust in its books , adding that it had no record with the CAC . When one of our correspondents dictated the contents of the document linking Simmons Coopers with Ocean Trust, Alonge expressed shock and asked that the document be sent to her . She , however , maintained that Vice -President Osinbajo was a man of honour and honesty and would never hinder the EFCC from doing its job . Alonge said , “Simmons Coopers has never had any dealings with Ocean Trust. We are also doing our own investigations . We checked our Abuja records and Ocean Trust is not stated there . This is new to us and it cannot be insinuated that Prof Osinbajo is stopping the EFCC from doing its job . “For us , there is nothing to hide. As a partner , I should be in a position to know . We are still checking our records and we haven ’t found anything .” Copyright PUNCH . All rights reserved. ayfay047: A Petitioners’ Witness 2 in the ongoing Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja, Peter Uzioma Obi, yesterday, confirmed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) transmitted the result of the February 23 presidential election electronically.
Obi, however, told the tribunal that it will be wrong to say the results of the presidential election were not transmitted electronically. The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the said election, Atiku Abubakar and his party are challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the election.
The witness, who told the tribunal that he functioned as Registration Area Technician at a ward level in Rivers State during the election, stated that INEC trained him and others to transmit the results of the poll.
Obi, who earlier adopted his witness statement on oath which he deposed to on April 26, as his evidence-in-chief, said this while fielding questions from INEC’s lawyer, Yunus Usman (SAN), under cross-examination.
“You are not supposed to transmit results because you are not a presiding officer,” Usman asked. Responding, Obi said: “You are wrong sir. INEC trained us to transmit results. I was not a presiding officer. I was not a polling agent. I was a registration area technician appointed by INEC. I was trained by INEC.”
Being cross examined by Buhari’s counsel, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), Obi said he was not aware of the guidelines used by the INEC for the presidential election but, however, noted that there was a specific guidelines booklet issued for his roles as a Registered Area Technician (RATECH).
According to him, “I was a RATECH in charge of the use of card reader.”
Obi added that he was not aware of Olanipekun’s claim that there was no designation in the INEC’s guidelines as Registration Area Technician.
He stressed that he operated at the ward level with the Local Government Technician and the State Technician as his superiors. He further added that he was not stationed at any polling unit during the election, but visited the ones where his attention was needed. He said he visited seven polling units in the course of the election.
Under cross examination by APC’s counsel, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), Obi said the lawyer was not entirely correct to say that it was the duty of the Presiding Officer “to do accreditation, verification authentication, and collation at the Poling Units.”
“You are not entirely correct sir, because we were told at the training that the Assistant Polling Officer 1 was in charge of accreditation.
“I did not serve as APO1 and I did not serve as the Presiding Officer,” he stated.
He said he did not act on his own, contrary to Fagbemi’s suggestion.
“I have a letter to show that I was shortlisted.”
Similarly, Adejuyitan Olanikan, another acclaimed Registered Area Technician employed by INEC, said results were transmitted to the commission’s server, but failed to state how that was done.
Meanwhile, Petitioners’ Witness 5, Mohammed Tata, who served as an agent of PDP in Jigawa State, had alleged before the tribunal that he was compelled under duress to sign result of the presidential election in his polling unit. The witness equally told the tribunal that he was threatened to either sign a copy of the result or have his name removed as a beneficiary in the N-Power scheme.
Under cross examination by INEC counsel, Usman, Tata said: “I was harassed and intimidated to sign the result sheet under duress. I was told that if I refuse to sign, my name will be removed from the N-Power Programme.” When asked if he was dissatisfied that President Buhari and the APC scored over 700 votes in his polling unit, the witness said: “There was no score because there was no election.
“I am a Muslim. I believe in destiny and what God decides will happen. Whether PDP wins or the APC, I don’t have a problem with that. All I want is that I need justice in my country.
“I don’t care whether my party won or lost, but I am not happy about what happened.”
When asked how many parties participated in the election in his polling unit, Tata said: “I don’t know because there was no election.” Asked if he was given a copy of the result, he said: “No, I was not given because there was no election. “I followed due process by reporting how I was harassed to sign the result, but the culprits were neither arrested nor prosecuted.” When APC’s counsel, Fagbemi, asked why he did not mention names of those that harassed him in his statement on oath, the witness said it was “for security reasons.”
“I am still working with the N-Power because I signed the result. It is because I did what they wanted me to do,” Tata stated.
Earlier, the Petitioners’ Witness 1, Buba Galadima, who is a former ally of Buhari, said he voted in his polling unit and, thereafter, went to monitor the election across the country from the PDP situation room in Abuja.
He said the election was marred by malpractices to favour the second respondent.
He also said Buhari was obliged to make public his West African Examination Council result, adding that he (Buhari) failed to annex the document on his nomination form.
Galadima told the tribunal that he fell out with the President because of injustice in his administration and not because he was not appointed a minister.
In addition to injustice, Galadima said that lack of inclusiveness and failure of the administration to secure Nigeria, also added to why he left the camp of the President.
Galadima made the submissions under cross examination, after he had adopted his statement on oath.
Olanipekun to Galadima: “You fell out with the 2nd respondent (Buhari) because he did not make you a minister in 2015.
Galadima responded: “No. You should know that I fought all the previous governments since 1999 because of injustice. We made good promises to Nigerians, including justice, inclusiveness, and to secure the country, which he has failed to do. It has always been part of my characteristics to fight injustice. I supported Buhari in the 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 election cycles until the 2019 election.”
Galadima, however, explained that he stopped supporting him when issues around his qualification were raised.
“I wanted to support an educated candidate who can provide good governance for the country,” he said.
However, while being cross-examined by Fagbemi, Galadima said he was aware that there is no registered party called the Reformed APC, but maintained that he was still the chairman of the group.
Meanwhile, he said he remained a member of the APC since he had not been sacked.
“I am still a member of APC. I have not been sacked. We are in court. I don’t want to be subjudice.
“I’m not a member of PDP, but we have a memorandum of understanding with the PDP to produce God-fearing, good and educated leader,” he stated.
Much earlier in the day, Buhari had objected to the admission of his form CF001 which contained his personal data submitted to INEC, for the February 23 Presidential election.
Olanipekun, while objecting to the admission of the form on behalf of the President, however, said that his reason would be made public at the address stage.
The petitioners had tendered the form as part of efforts to establish their petition against Buhari on his qualification for the last presidential election.
Apart from the form, the petitioners also tendered the final result of the election signed by Professor Yakubu Mahmood, which the tribunal admitted as exhibit.
Also tendered and admitted as exhibit are documents containing total number of voters in the INEC register and the number of collected permanent voters’ cards for the elections.
Atiku’s lead counsel, Dr. Livy Uzoukwu (SAN) also tendered six newspaper publications and 10 press statements issued by INEC in respect of the election.
About 6,806 mainly election result sheets from Kano and Zamfara states were tendered and admitted by the tribunal. So far, the petitioners have been able to call six witnesses. Hearing in the petition continues today.
janefblog: February 23, 2019 People’s Democratic Party Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and his party, PDP, on Monday, presented their first set of six witnesses at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in their bid to prove their petition challenging the outcome of the polls.
his party, PDP, on Monday, presented their first set of six witnesses at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in their bid to prove their petition challenging the outcome of the polls.
They are by their petition filed before the Justice Mohammed Garba-led tribunal of five justices, challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress at the polls.
The petitioners presented their witnesses just as there were indications that they would challenge the results of the presidential election in Kano and Kebbi including nine other states..
Monday was the third day of the 10 days the petitioners were allotted to present their case.
A former ally of Buhari, Buba Galadima, was the first witness presented by the petitioners at the Monday’s proceedings, contending that Buhari was not academically qualified to contest the presidential election.

OEPHIUS: The attention of the Youth Coalition for Peace and Good Governance (YCPGG) has been drawn with utter dismay to yet another smear campaign against the peace-loving and high performing Governor of Enugu State by mischief makers over the false and baseless allegation trending on social media that the governor has secretly allocated land for RUGA settlement to Fulani Herdsmen.
This cheap blackmail is not only a blatant lie but another joke taken too far by the sponsors, who are abroad at the moment, in a failed attempt to distract the governor and mislead the good people of Enugu State and beyond.
As a formidable youth group, we are fully aware that the South East Governors Forum through its Chairman, Gov. David Umahi, recently declared that there is no plan to establish Ruga settlement in any part of the south-east zone and further denied any plan by governors of the zone to cede any part of their land to Fulani Herdsmen.
Consequently, this mischievous news that Enugu Governor has given land for RUGA secretly to the herders in “Aninri and Nkanu LGAs of Enugu State” is not only unfounded but a cheap blackmail that will fail as usual, because there is nothing like that in the state.
We are aware that those sponsoring this mischievous falsehood on social media from their comfort zone abroad have an ulterior motive to blackmail, misinform and mislead the public, but our candid advice to them is that they should tread with caution and desist from peddling fake news that could undermine the existing peace and good governance in Enugu State.
YCPGG strongly believes that the South East governors, who always speak with one voice, will sooner or later reaffirm their position on the issue of RUGA settlement which has already been suspended by the federal government.
We therefore assured the detractors that the second term of Gov. Ugwuanyi will surely end in praise.

Igboblog: JUST IN!!! Keyamo Tells Atiku What To Expect From Supreme Court
The spokesperson of President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign organization, Festus Keyamo, has told the Presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2019 general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar what to expect from the Supreme Court, Igbere TV reports.
Igbere TV reports that Keyamo accused Atiku of attempting to blackmail the Supreme Court.
Keyamo told Atiku to always expect the Supreme Court to do justice even if heavens fall, while reminding the former Vice President of the court judgement which nullified the All Progressives Congress, APC, elections in Zamfara.
This is following Atiku’s reaction to the Supreme Court judgement on Friday that went in favour of the All Progressives Congress APC, and its governorship candidate in Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola.
Igbere TV recalls that the Supreme Court, yesterday, dismissed the appeal of Senator Ademola Adeleke of the PDP, challenging the declaration of Oyetola as the winner of the Osun State governorship election.
In his reaction, Atiku had said, “I urge the nation’s judiciary to take a pulse of the nation and reflect it. In their hands, God has placed a great responsibility. The duty to ensure that justice is done, irrespective of the pressure to do otherwise, by the powers that be.”
Keyamo, who replied directly to Atiku’s tweet, said, “Your Exellency, with great respect, this comment is beneath you.
“The S/Court administers justice based on law and not on the ‘pulse of the nation’.
“This is a veiled attempt to blackmail the S/Court. The Supreme Court will always do justice ‘even if the heavens fall’. Remember Zamfara?”
