The sponsor of the very controversial 'hate speech' bill has said the death penalty part will be amended.

According to TheCable, Aliyu Abdullahi, sponsor of the bill seeking to check hate speech, says the death penalty aspect will be amended in line with the wish of Nigerians.

Abdullahi said this in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday.

He said the bill will undergo some fine-tuning to reflect the views of Nigerians.

He added that the senate will accept contributions and input by critics and supporters of the bill, saying such will go a long way in giving Nigerians the law to address the disturbing trend of hate speech.

Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is happy to have made his 100th Premier League appearance for Leicester City in Saturday’s 2-0 away win against Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium.

Ndidi joined the exclusive list of Nigerian players who have featured in 100 games in the English top flight by playing from start to finish for Leicester City against the Seagulls.

The 22-year-old has scored six league goals for the Foxes since his arrival at the club from Belgian outfit, KRC Genk.

Two students of the Edo state polytechnic has been expelled for having sex in the school lecture hall. Just days after the Babcock university and Unilag sex tapes went viral. The two students involved were said to be from the department of mass communication. Its sad to know that filming whiles by having sex is now rampant among university students.

The note which was released by the school management reads ;

"To all staff and students , expulsion of students from the polytechnic for sexually related activities.
I am directed to inform all staff and students that in order to maintain her zero tolerance of sexual Imorality in the polytechnic, Management has approved the expulsion of the under listed students from the polytechnic with immediate effect for involving in sexually related activities (having sex in the lecture hall) which is highly against the ethics of the polytechnic "
