Upwork is allowing everyone on their platform right now, I guess it's their way of assisting the high number of people that lost their jobs during this pandemic or maybe it's just their own way of supporting the work at home initiative.

To get approved, follow the steps in oga Venzal's video. If you can't get a custom email use your regular gmail.

I've done lots of things oh.

Weirdest food I've eaten to survive: Garri 3x for 1 week. I've also used palm oil, salt and fresh pepper as soup to eat eba.

Weird job I've done for money: Conductor, Laybuke(Serving a brick layer). Funny enough did all this when I was below 16.

Stupid 'est' decision I've made to survive: Beg online for money, happened in 2017 when I was in 200L. I still regret it whenever I think of it.

Worse thing I've done to survive: Skip one semester of school to go learn Yahoo. LOL. Stupid young Me grin

, abandoning a 4.51cgpa to go learn fraud.

That's all I think!

Did yahoo pay? No

Do I have regrets? Yes!

Did I survive? Yes!

Did life get better? 1000×

Will I do them again? Yes!

Survival is a must!

Both are platforms for freelancers.

I'll try to simplify. Think of a market, Yes, that market you go to buy foodstuff. When you need yams you go to the market to buy, when you need tomatoes you go to the market to buy.

When you go to the market you see different yam seller, you don't just buy from anybody. You look around for the biggest and best yams to buy. When you get a good deal from the seller, you pay and take your yams home to enjoy.

Upwork is that marketplace, you are the seller, and in this case your yam is email copywriting. Buyers that need email copy will come and buy your work.
If you can convince them you will deliver the best work they will pay you for it.

The same way you go and buy yams from the same seller next time when you enjoyed the yams, it's the same way a client will keep coming to buy your services when you deliver the best.

Fiverr works on the same principle too. Use google for more in-depth explanations

True, It's hard to many money online as a Nigerian (No thanks to our yahoo boys and girls), but it's not impossible. If you are good at what you do clients will pay for your services

I'm a new copywriter on upwork myself and I'll try to help answer others here in whatever way I can when I'm free.

For those not sure on what platform to use, I strongly recommend UPWORK.

Upwork right now is a premium platform and have better paying clients. Fiverr is good too but, personally, I don't like the idea, that, I must starting selling at $5
I don't know much about Freelancer, so I can't say
The true is what works for one person may not work for another person, so explore all three options and see what's best for you

I don't know much about your intended business but I'll just chip in one or two thoughts of mine.

1. What's the average a DJ earns each weekend? I think DJ's are paid anywhere from 30k to 500k per event. Mostly the size and class of the event determines pay.

2. The DJ's renting your equipment will definitely be on the lower end of the earning spectrum, as I believe professional Dj's that command 200k and above per event can afford, and will definitely want to use their own equipments.

3. So if you're renting to upcoming Dj's i doubt you'll make that much each week.

4. Equipments starts to break down over time. So are you sure you'll recoup your investments within the first 2 years? 'Cause a typical Nigerian won't care about maintenance if its not his property.
