PoliticsNorth Panics Over Buhari’s Health by wordychap(op): 1:03pm On Jun 19, 2016
Even as the nation prays for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari,
who is said to be nursing an ear infection, feelers have emerged that a cross section
of Northern leaders and politicians are becoming apprehensive of the region losing
out again in the power equation.
Our Source learnt that meetings are going on at very high levels among Northern
political leaders who are anxious to avoid a repeat of late President Umaru Yar’Adua
ill health saga.
It was learnt that a meeting of the Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
from the North held recently in Asokoro, Abuja had the issue on the front burner.
A credible source told our correspondent that it is a tensed issue in the North, after
losing power to the South in 2010, when Yar’Adua passed on.
“The Northern leaders may pretend they are not disturbed, but political meetings
have commenced, the APC governors of Northern extraction are not willing to take
chances. They are not looking at it as a minor issue. In politics, you have to be
prepared”
“The Northern politicians, especially the governors are aware of the constitution as
it relates to the vacancy of any political office, so the jostling is in high gear.”
Our source learnt that there is more to the recent release of Presidential Campaign
posters of a North-East Governor pairing him with another governor from the South-
East.
It was also learnt that the recent call for restructuring of the country by a former
Vice-President was part of the plans by politicians in the North to position them.
“Who printed the posters, we are being told that unknown people printed it, which is
a lie. Among them, there is already a jostling for political relevance in case of any
eventuality, which we are not praying for”
In his reaction, former Minister of Sports during the Olusegun Obasanjo
administration, Bala Kaoje told our source that Nigerians are praying for Buhari,
saying he is coming back in good health.
“It is a minor thing which Nigerians shouldn’t be apprehensive about. Anybody can
fall sick.”
President Buhari is scheduled to return to Abuja today from his vacation in London
where he also attended to his ear ailment.
Meanwhile, the contitution provides that, should the president be incapacitated
enough not to carry on with his presidential duties, the vice-president automatically
takes over.

This 'CHANGE' is really devilish.
FoodExpect Hike In Price Of Bread Soon – AMBCN Tells Nigerians by wordychap(op): 12:10pm On Jun 18, 2016
The Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of the Nigeria, AMBCN, has told Nigerians to expect hike in price of bread soon “to enable bakers to remain in business.”
This was disclosed by its national chairman, Samuel Abanulor at a news conference in Umuahia yesterday.

He said Bakers in the country have been operating at a lost due to the high cost of raw materials, such as flour and sugar.

He added, “We are helpless because the price of raw materials ranging from flour to sugar, wheat and butter, has gone up.

“It is, therefore, imperative that for us to remain in business, we will have to increase the price of bread.”

Abanulor explained further that the Association at a meeting with flour producers appealed to them to review the price of flour downward.

“However, they told us that there is nothing they can do because the Federal Government is not giving them foreign exchange and that they source it by themselves at the parallel market.

“They maintained that they cannot sell below their cost price.”

Abanulor while explaining why it had been difficult for bakers to produce bread with cassava flour, said the Federal Government is yet to provide bakers with an improver called Enzyme that will enhance the cassava flour.

He said “You cannot bake cassava bread without an improver, it will not work.

“Our challenge is that we reached an agreement with the Federal Government that they are going to give us an improver.

“There are lots of potential in cassava flour but the problem is that government cannot provide us with improver.’

So in essence Nigeria gets less than $10 per barrel since most of d oil now is offshore ( were Nigeria has less stake) due to d militancy.
God help buhari's govt.
PoliticsWSJ: Nigeria’s Cost Of Oil Production Now World’s 3rd Most Expensive by wordychap(op): 6:57am On Jun 18, 2016
Nigeria is now the third most expensive country to produce oil in the world with a production cost per barrel of crude oil put at $28.99.

According to a Wall Street Journal’s (WJS) survey of 12 notable oil producers, Nigeria stands behind the United Kingdom (UK) and Brazil in the production cost analysis. Both countries produce a barrel of oil at $44.33 and $34.99 respectively.

The survey which was obtained from the WSJ in Abuja said production in Nigeria was more expensive than it is in the United States despite US use of expensive technology which combines horizontal drilling and a technique known as hydraulic fracturing to mine its Shale oil.

A further breakdown of the cost shows that oil producers in Nigeria pay $4.11 as taxes on a barrel of oil they produce, while $13.10; $8.81 and $2.97 go into capital spending, production costs, as well as administration or transportation cost.

It said for the US shale, $6.42 goes into taxes, while $7.56; $5.85; and $3.52 are used as capital spending; production costs; and administration and transportation.

Also, with a tax of zero dollar, the survey stated that Saudi Arabia spends the least amongst the 12 sampled countries in the world for the extraction and trade of crude oil.

The WSJ survey said: “Saudi Arabian crude is some of the cheapest in the world to extract because of its location near the surface of the desert and the size of the fields.”

It further said: “That makes transporting those barrels an outsized piece of its costs, on a percentage basis, compared with countries where production costs are 10 to 20 times as high.”

According to the survey, with $3.50 in capital spending, $3 in production cost, and $2.49 in administration and transportation, producing a barrel of crude in Saudi Arabia costs just $8.98.

The figures however indicate that for every barrel of crude pumped by Nigeria, she nets about $20 profit since oil prices bounced back to levels above $48 or above. Saudi Arabia on the other hand could make as much as $40 or more at the same price level.

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu had once said when oil prices were hovering at prices below $40 per barrel, that the country could still make some profits from its production.

Please leave the survival of Nigeria out of it. The civil war caused the death of 2 million people more than half through starvation. It is so serious that I get insulting when I discuss this.
You have to be congenitally stupid from great grandfathers to think that is a win win situation for anybody. Most people think it is a big game of knock out and bangers. It is not, it is children dying in front of their parents, it is women raped by the most atrocious of demons, in fact to paint the picture it is a fine graduate taken to the bush and raped by 10 dirty Fulani herdsmen, unspeakable atrocities because law and order breaks down, it is stagnation, no progress, no career, no love life, no romance. The worst part of it is it does not last just one or two years, not three, not four
I say it again, one has to be congenitally stupid from the forefathers to glorify war.
If many people of old were like u, many countries wouldn't have had independence and slave trade would have still held sway in the world today bc of fear of war.
Sometimes sacrifices are made for progeny to live a better life.
But nobody is asking for a war, better a referendum but if war is the only way to liberate a people, it's worth the price.
PoliticsREVEALED | The True Whereabouts Of Government Ekpemupolo Aka Tompolo by wordychap(op): 8:37pm On Jun 12, 2016
Deep-throat sources have revealed that the former Commander of the defunct
Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND ), Chief Government
Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo), is still holed up in Oporoza community in Warri South –
West Local Government Area of Delta State.
Although Tompolo was alleged to have fled Oporoza to Libya by the Joint Niger Delta
Liberation Force (JNDLF ), sources reveals that all that was a diversionary tactic to
throw the Security off the scent of the Militant Leader.
Investigations has revealed that Tompolo has decided to hide in the murky creeks of
the Niger Delta rather than surrender himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC) which has declared him wanted over allegations of fraud.
Sources reveal that though Tompolo was purported to have fled the country, such
reports were untrue as the former militant leader was “still much around in the
creeks .
“It is absolutely laughable and untrue to say that Tompolo has fled this country”.
“Where do you expect him to run to? The Tompolo I know is in the creeks and for
those who know him very well, Tompolo cannot leave his people . Of course such
can be scripted but not with the kind of person called Tompolo”.
“The Libya story to me is diversionary . He has no where to go”.
“He is in the creeks. Yes, security intelligence may have made it impossible for him
to speak or be seen, but I can tell you he is still in town.”
It would be recalled that the JNDLF had alleged that : “The Military can’t locate
Tompolo but we have identified where he is now.” The group ’s claim which came on
the heels of its threat that it would test six missiles in the Niger Delta states , said:
“Presently, Tompolo is in Libya and we ’ll get him dead or alive for betraying us in
supporting the Federal Government against us . ”
It said: “Nigerian military has weak intelligence gathering mechanism hence they
could not identify our modus oparandi. Nigerian military is only good in carrying AK
47 to harass innocent people and raping young girls and women.

First of all, do u know how much a warship cost?? Pls dont say what u dont know.you are confusing the amnesty programme with the contract to protect pipeline. The money awarded under the contract plus the complete and utter access to siphon crude at will made the niger delta militants some of the richest people in nigeria. This is different from the amnesty programme run by kingley kuku where the repentant militants were to be paid stipends, given scholarships and sent on training abroad.

Unfortunately, like all those who had access to funds under jonathan, kuku looted all at will leaving the militants with nothing.
Amnesty program is different from pipeline protection contract!
In the pipeline protection contract do u think Tom polo alone patrolled d creeks to secure the pipelines? He enrolled d boys from the creeks to do the job n paid them stipends to keep them off crime.
For your information, to mpolo bought decommisioned boats provided for the Navy on behalf of NIMASA and not warships pls.
http://leadership.ng/news/395960/tompolo-bought-boats-navy-not-warships-nimasas-dg

For the amnesty program, I personally know more than 10 people that went to UK to further their education; it was a success, hundreds of youths benefitted from the scheme.

And with regards to reducing budgets, i am sure u are aware of nigeria's current financial status. All budget has been reduced including allocation to states. So this is not peculiar to any ministry or mda.

The amnesty programme is good. But it cant last forever. Especially when the real target were not getting anything out of it. Am sure u are aware of all the allegations against kuku for hijacking the amnesty programme for selfish gains
>Money from contracts given to ex-militants were used to pay d boys in d creeks to protect the pipelines; and they did a good job of it, oil production was soaring to 2.4 barrels/day. This is akin to giving jobs to people, if there jobless they'll do d available job; oil bunkering.

I hope you realize that the problem we have now with kidnapping is because the government negotiated the first time and suddenly of became easy business. Why do you think America doesn't negotiate with terrorists?

Let me tell you even if Niger delta seceded today in 30years time nothing would have changed much . Why? The people will still be chanced by their useless political leaders. He gave some of the critical Ministries to the Niger Delta people for real work and more empowerment; He ensured that Bayelsa was hooked on to the National Grid; he establishe a deep sea port and a dock yard in the Niger Delta; he empowered the youths by re-inforcing the Amnesty programme. He ensured that NDDC gets its allocation to work and so on; apart from the general things that affect all parts of Nigeria, like refurbishing the Airports.
