Manual takes time and more expensive I can't give the price without seeing the land.

Oh no, I don't have that problem. I just wanted to be clear on what the maturity period should be. Some say 9mons, some say 13. And also what to expect when harvest comes because most articles make it seem you harvest all at once . And I also wanted check if all the planted suckers will make it or fruit. Thanks.

It can be 9 ,12 , 15 or 18 moth all depends on the sucker planted.
If the source of your suckers is good you don't have proplem.
They cant mature at the same time but you will harvest all at the specify time given buy the sucker seller.

@World 1, I have just three questions, if u can help me answer these three questions, I'll always be grateful to you.
(1) The plantain suckers that are initially bought for planting are usually treated and protected against nematodes and other pests. However, when these suckers germinate and produce fruits, they die leaving behind new suckers. Since these new suckers are untreated, how are then now protected from nematodes & other pests? Is they any special chemical/pesticide for this?
(2) Improved plantain species take at least 9 months to reach harvest, during this period, the farm must be taken care of and weed must be controlled, this might cost some good money. Please, what is the most cost effective way to control weeds.
(3) Finally, sometimes farm security is always a problem. Plantain farms are vulnerable to invasion by monkeys and theft by man. Paying people from day 1 - 9 months to move around and secure one's farm may cost more than 50% of the income depending on size of the farm, & the cost of labour in the environment where one's farm is located. Please, how do you take care of this?

1. You will have to retreat the new suckers but if you feed your Plantain very well the forget nematodes

2.you can use nylon muching technology

3. Security challenges differs per location so no standard solution.
Firstly the case monkey buy gun or dog.
Secondly for human being do perimeter fence with moringa or jathropha we they are 2months old add barb wire around the tree and make sure there is no weed or bushes in and around the farm.

World1....I have seen posts on this forum claiming plantain is ready for harvest at 9-10months , some say over a year, which is it exactly?
How do plantains typically mature? do they mature in batches or all at once?
If the plantain trees are over 13 months with no fruits, what are the things one can do to speed up the fruiting, or does that mean such tree will never fruit?

where is the source of your suckers?
Is it well taking care of, I mean did you feed the plantain well?
Is this problem affecting all your olantaing or few?
