She wants to blow without following due process |
That's an innovative decision |
gbens2000:I have not heard much about it. Mail Wes or Search online if someone has used it. I was reticent in even answering your question here, however everybody can't be the same. I will keep helping with as much info as I can since I benefited alot from here too. |
Goodnigga:Du courage ! Anytime he tells you, is the time. That's the time. I passed through the same process. If you get tired/discouraged or think I can continue myself, let me just continue on my own and go and write, you may be surprised at what you will see. But I'm 100% sure , with your dedication and by following instructions, you'll come out in flying colours. Peace!!! |
Sharonte:Hmm, at this point. I don't know what to say. You may contact any other standard international online school, that understands Africans peculiarity, but I guess their fee may be huger. But feel free to try. Peace!! |
Sharonte:A lot of people have emailed me. Apologies if I have not been able to reply every body. Let me just give a generic and elaborate answer that can answer @ Sharonte and as many others. Learning French, is MAJORLY aimed at boosting your CRS scores. If You don't have a Master's/second degree/ 2 or more certificates, no sibling points or to aggravate things you are above 30 and you wanna get PR on time, you CAN'T escape learning French. Even with Masters, if you're above 30, you will still need French. Why? French can give the highest points so ever. If you have B2(CLB7) throughout, you have 42pts, if you max out, you have 54pts. You can also be in between. So, the journey is simple and complex. Simple, in the sense that, learn French and pass TEF. However, it's complex that it ain't that simple. You will need to know French thoroughly in the the competence levels: LRSW. Secondly, you must understand the system/techniques of passing TEF. You can know French and still not meet up with the required scores. Therefore, you need to get a school either online or offline depending on your choice. I went to an online school and I am proud of the school. I am an alumni of TOBIDAM. Meeting the required scores is not the greatest joy. My greatest joy is that in Canada, I can confidently use it anyhow and any where. So, you start by learning French, remember to expedite your time, not everyone that knows French can impart French and not every French teacher understand the TEF system. A French teacher/ francophone that doesn't understand the TEF system can still fall short of CLB7 in each module. So, get a good French school and the rest will fall in line. Read harder than hard. You will get tired along the way, but don't give up. Eyes on the GOAL. Peace!!!! |
Goodnigga:Ema binu. You understand this journey has several steps.I am gathering money and doing other things. But I do come around from time to time. How's your prep going? |
sweetoma:Hi sweetoma. Your experience is touching that's why I had to comment. Forget about the loss, think about the big picture. How do I get to Mapleland fast should occupy your mind. I will suggest either TEF and/CIMA if you can. For TEF, it's either you wait for AF to reopen and continue. But if you can't, I will suggest you go for an online school. I was like you last year, indecisive of what to do coupled with work. I was then introduced to Tobidam. I can confidently recommend the site, because I came out excellently in TEF early this year. My testimony is on this forum. I started then last year. Choose a private class if you want it to be intensive. Then along side , start preparing for CIMA. Just do all you can!! Canada a-must should henceforth be your slogan. Peace!!! |
torres89:just a little addition. So many advanced expressions are used in CE, so you need up your game in synonyms (nouns, verbs, adjectives), know the tenses very well. And try to gather french way of making expressions from News channel, news paper, radio, dictionary etc. Peace!! |
Imperare:no mind am. He is used to giving on millions. He has never given in billions. Baba dey reason say, make the money no finish |
SultanOfPuna:you better thank your aunty, cos you may ended up a jobless and useless footballer. Not all footballers make it! That I can play very well, doesn't mean I will travel abroad |
In the spirit of giving back and also due to requests from my fellow students of Tobidam and friends here too. This is the full gists: It all began last year searching for how to begin my French training. I couldn't go to any traditional language school cos of my busy schedule ,so I was searching if I could get an online school, and luckily, I found www.tobidam.com . Did I know French before? Yes and No Yes because I could speak a little and write too, but No because when I did my placement test at Tobidam, I was told I was still a beginner according to their curriculum. So I started from scratch. Just to be brief, I spent 6months, but It was like a year in 6 months. I booked for private class(12hrs/WK as at then) as against group class so that it can be very fast. The tutor said, if I want to pass at a sitting, I must double the amount of class hours as personal efforts. He also said if I can do up to C1, it will improve my results. So I agreed. So I had to put 28 hours/ week of personal efforts aside class own. That is 4hrs/day. I simply gave my life to French for those 6 months. We do listening ( from DELF A1-B2) for practice throughout, at C1 we started doing TEF listening practice. I did a lot of outside class listening Like RFI, RTL, TV5 monde, Radio Canada etc. For speaking, Writing & Reading was imbedded in the program from A1. I can't move to the next level until I have passed at least 50% of the exam at every level.( internal assessment) After the program, I did Special TEF preparation class: My tutor tutored with 102 CE long texts three times. and the 22 CO long texts three times with some tips on how to master them in order to do well on exam day. I went through them the first time and he joined me for the second and third time. We practiced exam related EO and EE texts from 2019 past questions and commonly repeated past questions. We treated 250 CE TEF blue & yellow version as well as all the 6 CO TEF Tips on exam day: don't be distracted, please concentrate well during listening cos you can easily lose touch. Even if some one knows the answer, do what you know first, otherwise you could be destabilized. For Writing,( section B) I was told to use Subjunctive , Conditional, Future simple where necessary and my logical connectors. Too many strategies I was given to meet the requirements, that time won't permit me to list all. It is paper based and black pen used. That's all I could say for now. Another beauty of attending Tobidam is that I was provided with all the materials needed. I didn't get any myself. And the class is HIGHLY WORTH IT! Peace. |
Finally I can come out of my hiding place. TEF results out: EO C1 EE C1 CE C1 CO C1 Wow!! It is a thing of joy to see one's efforts crowned with success.I have been mute in action since.I know the journey just begins sha. Special appreciation to Almighty, and also to my Monsieur ,Tobi, the face behind the online school, www.tobidam.com Thanks for the encouragement, interesting ,fun and imparting class. And of always reminding me,:« you're now a senior student, work harder, no more English.» Back to my hiding place, journey still long small. Thanks to all who made the thread alive too. Peace!! |
Ça fait longtemps que je visite ici. Bonne année à tous. I have been busy preparing since and now I done. I am now preparing for TEF with tips & past questions with my tutor. I came here to share the news that I got from the tutor that unlike last year where fees are fixed. For this year there is now discount: the more hours you book, the lesser your fees. And like me, within a reasonable amount of time and your PERSONAL preparation, you should be ready for TEF . I am taking my exam pretty soon. Back to reading mode. For more info on the tutor, go to: www.tobidam.com I wish every TEF aspirant success this year. À plus tard ! |
Adunni09:That means all & sundry should from now on aim 470+ whether it comes down or not. Stay positive however!! |

Las las, we go all marry. But, if women can't be faithful, no need wasting men's money in the name of marriage. Just become community farm tool for every man. By that you can still have children and your freedom. But it is an unpardonable sin for you to be paid bride price for to satisfy and please only your husband and still cheat. If such women are here, may your husband to-be be given to another woman!!! |
maxiuc:Vanity upon vanity is a song sung by sons of poverty. |
Enculer:Not referring to you per se. But to those who keep on using impossible/negative words to scare people. EE seems fastest, nomination is via PNP. |
Enculer:That's what I am tryna avoid on this thread, once u have a defeatist attitude, you are a gonna. NEVER, U listen to anybody here telling u what is impossible or something is good or bad. Always make findings yourself, otherwise u will be confused. The journey seems arduous, but we can't arrive in Canny by being pessimistic all the time. Belief has the capacity to create the WAY. Never forget that folks!! |
Framaro:It is your age that's dropping your pts, however, either you max IELTS or max TEF clb 7 is 6666, you will still fly. How about your working experience? Is it up to 3 years? Your Msc is an advantage |
Framaro:I hope u used the CLB 9 for the TEF, and not your TEF results? Secondly, are you 33 and below? Thirdly are u using 3years working experience? |
Framaro:simulate your scores here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp Put the highest score of TEF there, with this your IELTS score and let's know what you got. |
Enculer:@ Enculer, Let's put our heart to rest, put the highest score of TEF score and put the highest IELTS score let's see what you get. Simulate it here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp |
I have my own questions too, I need answer, in IELTS, I discovered writing in Capital letter is better than small letters, does it apply to TEF? And is it with pen or pencil? |
