Enculer: French is not an easy language. You need plenty of time to study. You also need some form of immersion.
One year minimum study. You need to think about how you get the pronunciation as well.
So if you are looking at getting a B2 minimum in speaking, 1 year is minimum. You gotta work though. You gonna have to say goodbye to doing many things and seeing many people during that time.
Otherwise forget it. I see even the French make mistakes when they write or speak. You gotta be dedicated. No messing around. Enculer, Are you a man/ woman? When some newbies join on this Canny Waka, they want to speak right now even more than you that have started a long time before them. Yet they don't want to spend by going to school offline or online neither are they willing to take the 1 year minimum to learn themselves. You wonder what do they want. There are two ways to go to Canada 1. Be patient, economise and be frugal and wait till CRS come down or join PNP. 2. Where I belong: I work hard like my name is hard & spend even though I have to suspend some things in order to earn my goal. Enculer & I, like others here will give all it takes to get what we want. So help us GOD!! |

Enculer: That was what motivated me. Plus I saw the way the guys were practicing online. LOL.
The advice I would give a young person straight from Uni is to set a 2-year plan - prepare hard and learn French. I feel like advising every body to learn French cos sometimes you think you are very sound in English, and IELTS will just humble you at times, it can be demoralizing, any how God dey!! Canada is a goal!!! |

Enculer: I wrote on the 17th. I am expecting my results in speaking and writing but I saw the first two immediately.
I was the only one in the centre. Turned the volume loud. No disturbance. I wrote a couple of years back to test my level for professional reasons. TEF not TEF Canada. I had B2 in all but 1 (speaking- C1).
There were noisy guys in the room. People reading out loud. They were extra inconsiderate. Plus they were quick. I almost went crazy.
So when I was usher in this time. I was like yes I am king in this hall.
.. ................
I have a sneaky feeling that TEF is made to encourage Francophones to score high. IELTS guys are just di.cks (excuse my French). Yes bro, I read a testimony of someone getting PPR 3 months Post AOR, I think she used French as primary option. |

Enculer: You hit the nail squarely and spot on. Perfectly put.
If you speak some French, hustle the writing and revise past questions. You will smash.
I saw one result 450/450 in writing - The guy smashed the rest. North African guy.
I was extra impressed. I am telling u, if you can smash TEF like mad, nobody will bother much about IELTS, moreover French comes handy more and more advantageous in Canada. @Enculer, have u written TEF before? |

FemiMaduka: Blacks generally have a heightened sense of 'God-consciousness'.
That was how Evander Holyfield insistently mentioned God in his in-ring interview immediately after the first Tyson-fight. The interviewer asked him how he was able to dig deep to get the upset against Tyson, he said "when you give God the glory, he gives you the victory". Not satisfied, the interviewer asked again "okay, now can you tell us how...". Evander still mouthed off something tying the victory to God. The reporter quited after the third 'unsuccessful' attempt.
Methinks it's just the way the psyche of the Blackman is wired--and it is fine, as long as we don't hide under it to be dubious and lazy. because the first man was a black. Science said that man evolved from Africa. |

Hope777: How do you explain people that get cured from illness by prayers? I know God exists but why he allows bad things happen to people is what i don't understand.
Thanks though People created by God, know this: “Heaven is the Lord's but the Earth has it given to the children of men”. God doesn't literally control the world, though He does indirectly by his immutable universal principles. God is spirit that doesn't reason like we do. Just because we don't understand him and how he works doesn't mean he will bend his rules to our whims and caprices or argument and accusations.I have thought and almost quarrelled with God and deviated from him because of this issue of negligence on God's part not until I now fully grasped the underworkings of the universal principles enacted by God. The world was created with good intentions, but the first man permitted evil to enter the world, hence evil and good. You may not have chosen what happened to you in life, but you can sure change your circumstances through your imagination and faith. Understand the universal laws and you will be freed from life's woes and misfortunes!! |

Language learning is tough guys! you need a lot of work on your own as well as any other means of help you can get( including tutors if you can afford it) Don't expect everything to be solved by a tutor. Take everything with a pinch of salt and be strategic. Blessings! hmm, for your info, some of us here are his students already. I know French from high school, but to write TEF/TCF one needs better prep. 110 or 160k ain't small money. Only u know what u are saying. |

Imagine perfecting numbers most especially 60 -100, e.g I confuse 55 & 65 or with 75. 85 with 95 and some others self. Please, I want to like French too. I Need the points seriously .Bikoo!! Eh ya doh. I struggled learning alone too o. I thought I could do it myself, I just wasted my time. Later, I contacted the tutor@ www.tobidam.com. And bam!! I am now in love with the language. I had that problem too sha. But my tutor used an arithmetic expression to solve the problem. Imagine arithmetics in French!!! I think I can say any number and even date off hand now. I am still undergoing training sha. So, I will recommend the same tutor. Contact him & confirm yourself. His details can be found on the down part of the homepage. |
