Ordinarily, the firm should have deducted its fees from the amounts recovered for the FGN, and not receive fees in advance in lieu of the recoveries.

It added, “Audit is concerned that payments were made for service not rendered and this may be a deliberate attempt to divert government funds for personal use.

The presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has officially submitted his completed nomination forms to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

And when the funds arrive, he diverts to other uses which the fund were not originally meant for.

For instance, N19.6 million was said to have been approved and released by the state government for the drilling of boreholes in the offices of the agency in the 57 local government areas and local council development areas (LCDAs), but no or few boreholes were drilled.

“He is also alleged to have misappropriated funds meant for servicing operational, staff vehicles and other equipment in the agency,” said.

Govt Bans Ecobank From Forex Sales Over Regulation Breach

It was gathered that Kenya’s apex bank took the decisive action after discovering that the lender had flouted forex regulations. The suspension will end on April 4th, 2022.
