Nigeria was once around that figure and all that money was what made tens of billions available for former presidents. But the main point is, the amount of oil pumped is way less now than it was during Jonathan’s time. Kukutente23: |
That was the news, but that no longer matters. Having a real son of the soil be at the helm of the land is the smart thing to do to protect one’s interests. Son of the soil has to be born by a woman of the soil, not a foreign woman. emee701: |
They’re not. Fufu is Yoruba’s and made from cassava paste, stirred in pot over the stove, very soft to the touch and tongue. Akpu is ibos and made from cassava paste, formed into balls, boiled and pounded in mortar, very hard to the to the touch and tongue. I’ve noticed that they have started selling theirs too like we do by foodstuff. FreeSpirited: |
It’s because they have no real food that’s culturally theirs. maasoap: |
I believe this cos I was in a second biggest hotel in Sokoto years ago when I first started enjoying my freedom as a young lady. As one who never really ate Amala growing up, I thought it was just meant for elderly since only my grand parents ate it daily, while the rest of the family ate eba, fufu or something else, so I was surprised to see Amala on the menu and ordered it to connect with home. You won’t believe that every guest that came after me ordered Amala and they were 99% northerners. At first I thought they were just trying to flow with the holy-hottie me, then later saw how the popular Amala buka too was packed full by them. YesDaddyTill203: |
Ibos don’t have fufu, they eat Akpu. FreeSpirited: |
Let’s talk about Epstein list. |
Please watch just 10 mins of this from 19:00 to 29:00 mark. And then 33:00 for people who think being born somewhere or having one parent from a certain region makes you a citizen of that place. I’ve been thinking long and hard about what is blocking the side of our brain that’s used for deep thinking. It really hurts my soul when I see that almost everyone in the world is smarter than we Yoruba. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtHbVdhZbts?si=e8xa5WIfTEl2CPi3 |
She’s In Ireland to dodge prison term. OLAADEGBU: |
Who told you that China is the greatest economy on earth? China is a 2nd world country with just some nice places. China is mostly fraud, if their population is about half of what they have always claimed, their economy is not No.2 either, it could be No.3 or 4. Reflect7: |
That’s exactly what Peter Obi would have done, we really dodged the bullet. Let’s divide Nigeria, so the nations of Nigeria that wants Traore’s style can have it and the rest of us can have what we want. seunmsg: |
No! Jonathan was president from 2010 and vp in 2008. So he had all that money to spend and that was the time of “Ghana must go bags of cash” everywhere. Kukutente23:
|
Having our leaders with divided loyalty is no longer sustainable, and if you’re paying attention at all, you will see that things are changing in Yorubaland. Makinde’s wife and mother are, and that was why all the Oyo contracts went to no Yoruba. It’s one over on Yoruba but that won’t last forever especially when it comes to ibos. emee701: |
Go and change it please, it’s a price too high for we the Yoruba since it’s one way traffic against us. EngrEssien: |
That was recently written down there, too new to be older than a few days. Remove it please. We’re removing your names because of your disrespect to everything we hold dear. |

There was no reason for Jonathan to remove subsidy at the time. Nigeria had a lot of money. Oil was around $140/barrel @3.5m/day vs now that it’s hovering around $50/barrel @1.5m/day. Tens of $$billion in federation accounts and tens of $$billion in excess crude oil accounts. Nigeria economy didn’t collapse like it did in 2022 when people had no access to their money. There was no global recession and there was no COVID that destroyed businesses at the time. So there was no reason for subsidy removal at the time, this is when it’s needed cos president Tinubu didn’t have all that money at his disposal. Nigerians should be thanking president Tinubu for how he has prevented the country from a total collapse. Ihengwu: |
Nonsense! President Tinubu gave his reason and that was, “there’s no money left behind for it” and Buhari should have come out and said he left all the money other presidents left behind, but he didn’t. So he knew president Tinubu had no option. I hate talking about the dead but the way you want to use the dead to diss president Tinubu is unacceptable. |

Ibadan are not primitive people as you believe, they know it’s important to have a true son of the soil to be their governor and not someone with divided loyalties. There are still real Yoruba in Ibadan and they will find them if they haven’t given up on their land and war hasn’t finally taken them away. emee701: |
He was able to retain fuel subsidy because Jonathan left tens of billions behind to pay for it. If he Buhari had done the same for his successor, Nigeria would have become an El dorado right now. |
Ok, but it’s still water closet, it’s just not connected to public sewerage system, they use septic tanks. hosemujica: |
Death threats to a sitting president is a criminal case that should be refused bail. Deji Adeyanju himself needs to be in prison if Nigeria is working for encouraging and instigating death threats against the president |
No, I have to see that to believe it. Even the Amish and Menonites who keep to ancient way of living, no electricity, no Tv, but they still have plumbing systems cos of codes. No shalanga in the USA except you’re talking about off grid living faraway from residential areas where I’ve seen a very few use what they call composite toilets. I don’t know how it works but I’ve seen them explain it and it’s still water closet system that you have to flush, but where the wastes go is what I don’t know. hosemujica: |
If he or she hasn’t been to farms, chances of seeing this is slim. It’s definitely not a public road. ariesbull: |
They call it dirt road and sometimes owned by individual farmers who construct it themselves. People buy virgin land and just run tractors through, and of course they still receive Amazon packages. |
Let’s see how they force people vote for them or if Yoruba are still are still naive enough to vote for foreign interests. emee701: |
