The audacity! They all think we are daft, I had to leave twitter for sometime because I wanted to cool off.
Different teams of journalists was on that site, scavengers, onlookers, lawma and the fire that burnt everything down. Not 1 person saw a shiny camcorder the was placed for all to see, na Mr Fashola see am. No wonder they refused people that volunteered to clean the Lekki toll gate. It's really annoying abeg. God should answer my prayer make I jakpa, I am tired of this country and their stupid ways. Mtchewwwe

Hello everyone

I can’t keep this any longer I’m dying and I feel I am hating my baby every day I need help I don’t know what is wrong with me. Could this be spiritual? Or do I just naturally hate my babe. Someone please help
Hugs mummy. I had same thing when I had my baby, I used to cry alot and nobody understood what I was going through, it's a very difficult phase. If you can try and have people around you and being lonely makes it worse, Dont stress yourself with house chores and try to do things that will take your mind away from it. Remember your baby is a precious gift from God. Reach out to me if you need someone to talk to.

Hello there, please who
has an idea of what it takes to migrate to Ireland as a Nigerian registered nurse, steps and requirements... Thanks
It's definitely on Ireland Critical skill occupation list, that I know. You can start from their website, I stumbled on this website when I was making research.

Cousin9999:
You don't need to have English as your first language to be considered. English teaching certificates are not hard or expensive.

https://www.gooverseas.com/blog/where-teach-abroad-as-a-non-native-speaker

Cert courses for Nigerians:
https://www.learn4good.com/tefl/nigeria-tesol-courses.htm

https://www.eslbase.com/tefl-courses/nigeria/

http://www.tesolcourselagos.com/courses-dates---fees.html

https://www.gooverseas.com/tefl-courses/africa

https://www.cambridgeenglish.org/teaching-english/teaching-qualifications/celta/ways-to-take-celta/

I highly recommend doing CELTA online and doing the in-person portion in South Africa or another approved African location.
Getting the certificates is very easy, but getting jobs is very hard. 6 years ago my bestie and I embarked on this path, she went to SA for the Celta training did very well and got certified, when it was time for job hunts she was refused so many times. Guess what, an insider told us that if they are presented with a native speaker of English language with an O level and a Nigerian with a degree, they will always choose the native speaker.

I was once interested in this path, some years ago. But I found out that you must have English as your first language before you are even considered. If English is your second language, you will need some English teaching certificates and it's usually very hard to secure but not impossible. Things might be different now though, let me grab a seat and wait for other inputs.

Something strange happened yesterday.

One of the followers here, was coming to Dublin from Nigeria . From the DM, he got lucky and secured a room in the house I live. I could see the amazement in his face as I showed him around the house, how we use the facilities...., this would have been what he would have seen before he pays. The owner of the house will arrange a viewing and then show you all there is to know, the location of things and household items...he was supposed to see them before he pays. But he paid before seeing them.

He could recognize some parts of the house based on what I post here and when I finally took him to my room. I could see something similar to when a fiction springs to life. It was very satisfying I must say and priceless. He was scanning the room and he was cross-referencing it to the image he had in his mind when I described the house and the few pictures I posted. I couldn't stop smiling when he asked me about the BlackBerries. grin
Now that's a real follower. The BlackBerries gave him out.

This is part of the Perks of travelling.
You experience Fooooooodddddd.

My client call this Rice pudding, she classifies it as a dessert.
When I tasted it, it felt like boiled Rice till it's super soft, some creme and milk with honey. It's absolutely delicious. I can make this myself. Though it came in a can which can be served cold or hot as my client explained.
For those of you that's wondering about this client, it's part of my job oooo. There's nothing to do at lunchtime except to hoover the stairs which I do once a week. The rest of the hour is spent at the dining table, Eating and gusting, the husband doesn't speak much, he mostly stares and grunt occasionally. The wife loves to gist, and she always drop appetizers on the table so I chop and talk.
I'm getting to like this job, normally, I spend only 10min-30min at a clients house and japka, but with this particular client, I spend the whole hour at lunch time, I also have to be there in the evening. To be honest, clients like this are not very common, I have had three in this job, one died, I felt a lot better after I moved to where I'm currently staying. Inorder not to sound entitled, I don't think I'll be treated this nicely if I was doing this same job in Nigeria.

things move quite well I sometimes forget to be grateful, in the US recently, a runner was arrested by the Popo, I know I don't have that fear of the cops because of the reforms. That's a reason to be happy.
If I want to move to another country, I have to look well before leaping, fear of the cops will make even those with their passport to feel incomplete.
I just discovered a new way to eat rice not as a meal but as dessert.
There's no way you will be treated like that in Nigeria, absolutely no way!
I did this rice pudding for my son when he was 9 months, I sometimes blend banana with it, I also use Ofada rice, but I have never tried honey. Just milk, banana and rice. It's really yummy.
