Very true oooo, hahahah, it's about planning and promoting infrastructure and welfare. I got to know that all the money I was getting to take care of people was from the government. These people are getting my services for free.
Wow! For Free?

It was in the news today that Twitter CEO is gonna partially fund the relief package the government has for the those who are about to be evicted from their houses due to the Covid effect. I was just here thinking about Nigeria.
What has the billionaires done since the Lockdown started, the virus is yet to hit Africa, it was also in the news that one political leader that believed that Christians cannot get the virus, got the virus and is receiving medical attention, south Africa cases has started to rise, very fast, the Lockdown Nigeria went on could take effect because another thing other than corona virus will finish Nigerians in their house, which we all know to be H.

All the pastors and the church funds, what are they using it for, who will congregate when half of the population start to die, these Nigerian pastors have truly failed us, we hear how they raise folks from the dead, healed incurable disease like HIV and AIDS, TB, barreness, blindness, even broken arm, it's online, one woman with a funny arm has been used for Miracle skit by five churches, WHY HAVENT THEY HEALED CORONA VIRUS, it's curable by the way, not as tough as a dead person, or a person living with AIDS, I'm yet to see a pastor laying hands like they do, with some handling juicy parts of a female all in the name of skabash, instead they pray from afar.

Since the church has refused to end the virus with Prayer, why haven't they used resources to support those at the Frontline who are doing the Real work, laying their life for you, your loved ones and humanity, just as Jesus Christ did for us, He died, so we can live. I don't see how our religious leaders is laying an example, by sacrificing little of the finances, for the greater good.

'Be thou an example of the believer in word, conversation, ........'

Prayer works, I'm not an atheist, I still tune to my services and get blessed but these questions needs to be asked.
If you pray, you need to do. Unless you won't experience any action. Prayer works actually, looking at it without the exaggerations Nigerian pastors has turn God, a magician and an Herbalist, if you still believe in handkerchiefs, oils, Holy water, you're very much into fetishism and idolatry. My mum had arthritis, one prayer house gave my mum blessed olive oil to be drinking, arthritis is also caused by cholesterol, the illness almost struck her dead. When I was applying for visa, they gave me too, see better oil, very light and cute, I used it to fry egg and I loved the texture, my appetite was gratified and visa was approved, why should waste a wonderful oil on my head, plus the heat that one to kill somebody in Nigeria, I should now be pouring oil on my head. Ooin

If as a kid, I was told that the Church all over the world will be shut down for more than 6 months, because attending services at a point in time will bring death to me and not life, I will tell the person to GET THEE BEHIND ME, SATAN.

Here's how prayer also works, it brings the pressing issue to mind and you are able to meditate in a calm way cos you're in the presence of the most high, it's only in emergencies that we pray with anxiety, you're relaxed and clearhead and open to thoughts and inspiration that might prove to be the solution to the problem or you might receive an alternative path that might yield success. After you're done praying and you Do, the issue is gone and prayer has been answered.

I have seen this happen in my family a lot, we will have a pressing problem and after the prayer my dad will call us and tell us that while we were praying, the Lord God laid it in his heart to try this, that's the Golden result, we then do the Do and get a good result.
Okay all the prayer we've been praying about Nigeria, where has it gotten us to, most of the richest people in the world, majority of them are not Christians and never prayed and yet we waved them aside that they got their wealth in evil ways, Rothschild, JPMORGAN, Coca-Cola people, Google, facebook, IBM, Nestlé, these guys own the world, it's few Christians like Heinz, quaker oat that we will use as examples.

That's Kenneth Copeland below, the man even spat at the camera hoping to drive off the Pandemic by Faith with the breath n saliva from his mouth. Smh

What in the world is Twitter when the world has perished, the only living things that will be tweeting is the Birds. The CEO deserves kudos
In as much as there's a lot if humour in what you wrote, it's simply the truth. A lot of Nigerians are blinded by the church mentality. Even in the lockdown some churches held secret services and people went, but dressed casually. I had to ask one of the church goers that can't you pray at home? Does she know she can get the Corona and transmit it to her community if anyone gets in her Church. Even the Bible says give Caeser Things to Caeser, meaning we should give honour to the government of our Time. But the person saw me as a devil advocate. Now Churches are opening on Sunday, you nee to see the jubilation on my street, alot of people won't put in practice the Government regulations for opening Churches. Honestly I don't talk about this Church thing, as alot of people tag me as an atheist because I don't share their reasoning. Shrugs

No one has been able to guess what I do every two month,
I MOVEE AGAIN.

When I going there, I left the house wit €10.
It was more than enough, I bought these beautiful Figurines for €3 each.
I felt really empowered living in this country.
Imagine being able to buy whatever you want in life. If this figurine was in Nigeria, I will ask the price and Waka commot.

If she had said €100, I would have bought. This was a huge consumer surplus. Consumer surplus in economics is when you're willing to pay more and you got it lesser. That's a surplus.
Big one.
If I get the story behind such vintage figurines and estimate the date and artist, I can sell it for more, my love for vintage tho. They will worth a lot if I bring these to Nigeria.
Choi. £3 you say? This is sure going to cost more here in Naija. They are very beautiful and clean

It will shock you all about the visual effects of these two shots.
I took them at night within a minute.
It will appear as tho I took the first one during the day and came back to take the second one.
Phones have really advanced so fast that the older generation can't keep up easily. It's bored kids who are on the hunt for new experience that are able to sit and with lots of trial and error master the smartphones. Then they teach their parents. Lol. Yes we teach our parents.
When my dad got his first car. We were all excited. My dad saw it as a medium to move from point a to point b. I saw it as a mystery that needed to be unlocked.
We had an isolated place where it was parked. Everyday after I get home from school.
I would grab the keys and rush to the car. Pressing every button, trying to see what they do.
My dad even upto now doesn't take the car to work. His friend takes him. He doesn't like to drive in the rush hour to VI. He prefers to relax, sleep and chat away. I think I got the trait from him.
He only drives for leisure. Taking the family to church on Sunday.
Then he takes me to work on Saturdays as I'm the only son, for just a few hours when he has some spill overs. The road is always free. I grab my laptop to download games and movies of up 75gig with the wifi. Lol.
So basically the car is mine during the weekdays, I'll fiddle and press press. I mastered the electronics that I became his first mate. He always prefer me in the front passenger sit then.
My mum had to sit at the back and envy me then till my dad mastered the controls. Women and front passenger sit eh.
Parents know how to use resources and time out to keep us in check.
Why can't we use our technical know how in showing them how to operate phones to let them do our bidding. Yes we can.
Phones can seriously frustrate them, they'll be loyal then and ask for our help. We can then smile and make our request known, haha.
But it's not happening because of experience.
Our parents are super smart. This is why an an uneducated man can hire both the learned and educated to do biddings.
I heard sometime that dangote hired PhD holders to drive his truck.

From the pictures, I took the first one with the flash on, the second one was taken without the flash on but with the aid of the streetlights. After I saw it some days later, I thought I went back in the morning to snap it again until I checked the date.

In this country, they warn about things like this. After mopping the floor in a place where people pass like in an eatery or bank hall. They always put a sign. I'll snap one I have in my kitchen so you'll see what I mean. If one slips especially the elderly and fall and break his bones, that establishment will be sued.
Paint hazards can happen too. Getting the stains off my clothes will be a huge hassle. So we see warnings like.

I'd like to know if we have such in Nigeria.
Put that in the comment section
.

Because when I was there jan, I no see o.
These are the things that bring our life expectancy low.
A 1000 ways to die.....:-)

Verify your identity first.
Nairalanders are not kick back to randomly ask questions at will to some random person.
You need to be trusted before you are asked question, this is an anonymous forum, so we tend to do things with high level of caution. We need to prove your circumspection to details pertaining to your country Ireland.
Rather than asking us to ask you question, it will be better you create a thread and post every thing that you think we should know about Ireland.
.
Once you've created the thread, we can then ask you questions.
Once again Welcome to Nairaland Forum.
Very well said!

The Full Glorious Irish breakfast

I took my time to savor every bite and variety.
I'm definitely gonna upgrade my breakfast menu.
It tasted so good, especially when it's hot.

After eating this, I had to sit down and appreciate life for making me taste that, I wasnt very full and I wasnt hungry, it looks small but it kept me full for long.
My friend asked me what I wanted for breakfast. I simply requested for it again. It was delightful.

Me i dont like to cook, cooking has tire me, I swear.
But I must give it to them, the food presentation is beautiful.

Well, that's a clearer picture of the picture in the boohoo ad, I hope seun.... can be able to guess where I took the shot.

Theres something really interesting here, it's really fun to see. I would have taken shots of it in the street but I felt it will be very rude. Just imagine if I'm caught.
They say it's not cheating if you're not caught in the act. They didnt caught me, lol

There's this trend I see among elderly folks here, they walk about with this thing they push around, a local person will call this wheelbarrow, lol.
It's like an upgraded version of a walking aid for those with arthritis, it's a lot common for older women.
For men, he has to be so old and bent before they use it or when they have a physical problem.

This is very utilitarian and functional than for aesthetic reason, the men go about with their walking cane and are judged by the society. The aesthetic and beautiful walking cane is fast loosing ground. Even those who use it feel shamed.

In a place like Nigeria, once you sleep and see the walking cane or stick, it's to embark on thirty days Dry fasting n prayers.

The walking aid these women use has wheels at the base, so you just push it, a lot of them come with a small platform with little foam so you can sit on it when you're tired. You can can hang your handbag on it.

Most of these elderly people live alone, so go, buy transport their shopping home themselves. Remember that in this country, everyone is equal. You can't just get a house boy, you'll need to pay at least €15,000 to him a year. Convert that to naira and your head will correct. The minimum age here is working.
It's like a bicycle, only your leg is pushing it, it has a break system so the old mama does not ride it down downhill in top speed, hahaha.
If there's no break, 1000 ways to die will rush and add it to their list.

So they have another type of walking aid with a gap for storing things, they'll be able to push their groceries home simply with it. See how life is. Instead of focusing on Maids and security and paying heavily while in our case, we pay them peanuts, they rather spend money on robots and technology to aid humans in their weaker days.
Taking pictures of it will actually be rude, dont get in trouble abeg.

I've taken more risks than that, I've experienced a gun pointed at me, I've braved the Perilous road between Zamfara and Kebbi state at midnight after the park chairman repeated told me that I shouldn't waste my life as a corper. I ended up going in the journey and we met the fulani herdsman, they posed as soldier and blocked the road, my driver just thought as much and turned the vehicle around.

The thing that was pushing me to take risks melted.
We ended up chilling in a small village till it was daybreak. We got to the small checkpoint, it was no more there. The soldiers wont leave a checkpoint like that.
Jeez!!! I would have popped my pant. What an encounter.
