Solatium: How many photocopies of the following are needed to make renewal. 1..NIN SLIP. 2... PASSPORT DATA PAGE. 3....RENEWAL DOCUMENTS i e PAYMENT RECEIPT, APPLICATION PRINTOUT & APPOINTMENT SLIP. and lastly do they require any photocopy of any expired Visa on that passport. thank you To be on the safe side, make 2 copies each of 1, and 2. I brought 2 from home but my agent did the photocopies himself. I am sure others will chip in. |

Toplap: From your post in reply to me, I thought you had done your renewal at Ikoyi already. If you choose Alausa now, won't you have to pay another renewal fee? Someone suggested I go to Abeokuta I can do everything in one day and get my passport asap.
Unfortunately I had already paid and chose Ikoyi as processing center being the one closest to me, before I got that information. I was given 12th April for capturing but after reading comments and seeing that a reschedule is possible I went back to the portal and was able to reschedule to 31st March. It is still far but better than my first date.
Another concern I have is that, once you are captured in their system via online application and you have paid, it may be hard to apply and pay again for a different state/center. I don't know but this has been on my mind. With the fuel scarcity and traffic gridlock all over Lagos I don't even want to start stressing about changing processing center now to another center or state I am on the process of renewal at Ikoyi, capture date is still April 11th. I just wanted to confirm if Ikeja is faster, so I can do my son's passport there. |

Can someone who did the passport renewal at Alausa of recent, say last week confirm how it works there. I heard it's faster at Alausa, compared to Ikoyi. I was given 11th of April for capturing at Ikoyi. |

Toplap: This was very helpful, thank you. No vex, please can you list out all the documents you needed for a renewal?
I am doing a renewal too and I have gone through some pages of this thread to be sure, I show up with all the required documents, but I keep seeing conflicting information.
One post said birth certificate, state of origin and acknowledgement slip. Another post said it wasn't necessary except for fresh passports. Since mine is renewal at the same center where you did yours, you may be the best person to ask, so please help me.
CC: IntrovertGuy I was at Ikoyi last week for renewal. You will need your NIN slip, make copies of it. 3 passport photographs and your old passport, the biodata page of your old passport. I will advise you make copies from home. You will also need to write a letter to the PCO on an A4 paper, request for a renewal of your passport. |

Dee2016: Visa Alert!!! Hehehe I've longed to type this since I discovered Nairaland in September 2020 when my husband was waiting for his second canadian visa application which he got a refusal. I was a strong follower of the Canada students thread. I am from Kenya and I told myself wherever Nigerians are going we will go. That's how we started our journey for UK Student visa which never went far as we didn't have the amount required in bank statement. My second option was to apply for Skilled visa which actually should have been my 1st option. I did blind application to companies that were offering sponsorship and I got an offer and a CoS. Timeline.
Visa Application 12/1/2022 Biometrics 14/1/2022 Tls email 26/1/2022 DHL collection 27/1/2022. All info was gotten from this thread and less from UKVO.gov website. Truly go through the pages, you won't miss any details. Thank you Nigerians, we did it!!!
And to the famous quote which I couldn't wait to write "What God cannot do doesn't exist!" Congratulations |

yemi1504: But if the person's BP is low nko? A lady BP was low yesterday, from her physical appearance she looks like a SS. She was refused the vaccine. So I guess it is both ways |

When you fill the form online, you get questions like "Do you have any known health condition Hypertension is one of the listed health condition. At the health center, they check your bp before administering the vaccine. An elderly man was refused the vaccine because it showed his BP was high. I had mine today, took the Astrazeneca. So far I feel feverish and my arm hurts and I am always hungry |

Chiggsglover: They have to find a way to get the right vaccine for free! With the plenty money I have now, I'm gonna get the vaccine for free. If I'm doing the Test for covid, it's free! If I want to do HIV test, free!!! If I need HIV or sti treatment, free!! If I want condoms, I just walk to the nearest Pharmacy and pick it up for Free!!!
Then we're asking people that at least 50% live in poverty based on UN standard to pay for the Vaccine. That's wrong! People will have to choose between food and vaccine. Theyll rather feed themselves than look for vaccine for an infection that's yet to come. Starvation is knocking at the door everyday It's so sad honestly, it's so sad Nigerians are being governed by such cruel people. |

Chiggsglover: My office asked me yesterday if I'm up for the Vaccine, I SAID YES!
If I was in Nigeria, ill be far at the back. There's tendency for the Nigeria leaders to use the right vaccine on Live TV and distribute vaccine that has not validated. I don't trust where I come from o. You guys should open your eyes and demand for the right vaccine. They might even start selling it. Hian! Allegedly The Minister of Finance said that Nigerian government will pay for vaccination of 50% of residents — I am very sure they will sort themselves and their loved ones first, and do as you said. |

WhyNa : Hey guys, how are y'all doing?? It's a freezing 8 Degrees here now and it's not funny. You don't want to wake up and leave the comfort of your bed cos once you step outside, it's hell in a freezing way. But we gats keep chasing the paper. So I was talking to some Nairalanders here and for the first time, it actually dawned on me; the bold step I took. Like a lot of you have mentioned me on thread and commended my bravery for a female but only now did it dawn on me. How I was able to quit my job, how I was able to part with my life's savings, how I was able to push through despite being scared as per visa on arrival, how I was able to make a trip alone to a place I knew nobody, how I was able to keep it together during the trying times. Well look at me now! See how far God has brought me! I'm writing this to encourage those currently planning to make a move to whatever country. See, the easiest part is applying trust me. It starts getting hard at quitting your job no matter what it is. I was earning a meagre 60k per month with so much stress and less appreciation. However, knowing I at least had something was at the time more comforting than the unknown. The authentication part is easy. If you don't stay in Abuja, you may procastinate and ask yourself questions but once you make the trip, the rest is easy. Next, parting with your money. I swear you would turn FBI and your faith will skyrocket by force. It's like, shey I no go just hol this one wey I dey see? Then come leaving proper. The traveling and plane ride is exciting oh and you'll thank God a million times especially. Then you land and it hits you....only me, no work, which way....lol. But from then on, as long as you preserve and keep at it, it only gets better. All the best people Picture: Right now in class. LolThanks |
