No, as long as you do not select a new date kacey007: In case I didn't see any availability date, will it affect the the previously booked date? |

Yeah you can, just keep checking, especially during the early hours of the day when people are asleep kacey007: Can I be able to see available dates if I want to reschedule an appointment?
The initial date I booked was too far. Thank you. |

Damn! I should’ve checked again in the middle of the night solihp: I saw June 21(yes tomorrow, 1 slot) and July 18(didnt check how many slots) and alot of August. That's for Lagos and provided the person haven't been refused before, if he/she has been refused, he/she might not see any date.
This report was valid till 3am today. Don't know about now. |

Quoting me again shows that you’re rather going back and forth with me, and saying my disagreement with your empty statements is derailing others seems that you’re trying to somewhat shove your opinion down my throat I’m sure I’ve never discussed my study plans with you or discussed the SOA I’m using with you So carry your narcissistic ass out of my mentions Also, the goodluck you are wishing me, I wish you back 10 folds in all your endeavors in life and may the goodluck never depart from you blackmamba147: No point going back and forth with you, Don't derail people from the valuable points made. I'm sure you are planning to use your uncles SOA to escape the poo hole, good luck in your visa application. |

Lmao Doesn’t sound like a very good idea in my opinion but I’d let the older ones handle this question Don’t pay me any attention just yet segunbolawole: Calvary greetings to you my genuine Nigerians
Is it OK I request the V.O glance thru the flow chart of my business model as part of my reasons for the degree
Thats if I'm asked the question on why the school and course.
What do you guys think please |

My disagreement is also my opinion you are not being compelled to agree with it either blackmamba147: its my opinion you are not being compelled to agree |
Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Wretch32: 9:09pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
I disagree blackmamba147: From your transcripts you didn't get to the point where the VO asked to look at your SOA or sponsors SOA, which means the VO wasn't convinced you were eligible based on your response regarding how you will fund your education. Besides if you had presented your uncles SOA its not up double the deficit, I don't expect your uncle to empty his account because of you. You would have been in a better position with a student loan. The VOs know what it takes to live and study in the US, trust me it's not beans. You can apply again, but to be honest I don't see your chances improving.
I would say this again if anyone here has family willing to sponsor them, that family should be able to advance you the funds to deposit in your account at the beginning of your application process, that way on your I-20 part of your funding shows from personal funds, you will come off in a better position than someone with uncle statement worth hundreds of millions of Naira. unless of course the funds are not really available for you and its just a means for you to get visa and escape from the shit hole |

Lol Also, it’s not like assistantships or scholarships are easy to come by and American universities are not handing them out like paper so I don’t understand the reasoning behind it. |

Perhaps, but this forum is so small that to use it as a means of sampling a large variety is somewhat unfair to be honest LagosismyHome: I think VOs read this thread and wanted to send a message that they are unpredictable |

There is no available date in July currently dumbiri99: Okay funding only guarantees approval when it is full funding. You can quickly re-interview in July and get travel experience to a quality country before that time or reapply without it, you can never tell. All the best. I know you're a genuine student but those VOs don't trust us. No one trusts Nigerians nowadays. |

Thanks Maybe I should, maybe I will Anyways... it’s within the last 6 months and it came in ending of last month when I submitted it to the school, if May is okay I could just print it out then, if not then.... Sigh (stress!!) Thanks sharwama: I am so sorry you felt ignored, I just wanted the masters to respond to you coz they have better experience than I do. You know you can always PM me, I love to be PMed Following the VO's trend of strictly checking financial credibility, I suggest you have a MOST recent bank statement shipped down for you. Please let me know if you have further concerns |

Lol Fair enough Thanks nonetheless Philtos: even if you own anyone of us... do you think you will still get a reply....
i think no one saw your post. if someone saw it and had answers, they would have surely answered you i promise. they are good people here trust me on this.
Nevertheless i am sorry, i don't have correct answers to your question. |

Aii thanks LagosismyHome: Conveniently avioded.... . Next time use better choice of words. While it doesnt feel nice if ignored nobody is obligated to answer any post
Regarding bank statement. Some online pdf copy are as good as the original. For example i am on paperless billing so for mine there is no difference between online pdf and printed original so check with your sponsor. If the pdf doesnt say online or anything then just print it in clear print and that should be fine |

Guys I know y’all conveniently avoided my question here because I said I needed quick assistance, fair enough I don’t own any of you hence why I was ignored But at least the 2nd part of my request could be answered which is regarding the bank statement to be presented Original shipped in from USA or a printout of a scanned original which can easily be confirmed by the consulate Wretch32: Good day guys, I’m having issues booking/paying for an interview date and I need a quick response if anyone doesn’t mind, can he/she pm me so I can call and ask the questions/information I need quickly instead of a back and forth here waiting for a reply as I have a series of questions as someone is on the way to the bank already.
Secondly, this one is for the house, I have a scanned bank statement from America I used in obtaining my I-20, when it’s time for the interview do I simply print it out or ask them to send an origin copy via DHL/Fedex? Thanks in anticipation of a response
Cheers! |

Congratulations are in order We all saw this coming didn’t we sharwama: SHARWAMA'S APPROVED VISA TRANSCRIPT. Date: June 7, 2019 Venue: Lagos Consulate Time:6:30 a.m Gender of VO: Male Window: I Didn't notice, I was blown away by his cuteness and jerry curl Ok it was the second to last window, before the exit door. I: (Smiling) Good morning sir V.O: Good morning, please pass me your passport and your I-20. I did and he was like "please push your passport a little bit further". I pushed it and asked, "is it okay now sir?" VO: Yes it is. Why are you going to the US I: (deep breath + killer smile) To uhm, pursue a masters degree in Biology, Biomedical Science Concentration at East Tennessee State University, Johnson City Tennessee. V.O: Why this degree? I: I really want to work as a research scientist at a renowned biomedical research Institute here in Nigeria. Unfortunately, a masters degree in Biology or a closely related field is the minimum requirement for such a position. So this degree would not just help me hone my research skills or build my critical thinking, it would qualify me for the position I really want, when I return. V.O: So why did you pick this school? I: (Gesticulating with magical hands) For me, it wasn't just about the generous funding I received, which I am extremely grateful for by the way, it had a lot more to do with the student-faculty relationship I have built with my potential supervisor, professor Burna boy. We Skyped a couple of times and we have chosen a thesis topic I am super excited about. V.O: What other schools did you apply to? I: I applied at Texas A&M University, Commerce VO: uhum(while typing) I: Cleveland State University Ohio and Kansas State University Manhattan Kansas. VO: Have you travelled out of the country before? I: I have not had the need to sir. VO: Are you married I: No sir V.O: You said you have funding, let me see the evidence I: My school did not give me an official letter but it's on the I-20(I pointed at the document so he looked at it) V.O: Ok I see $9590 to be payed by someone ,who is this? I: That's my mum sir V.O: What does she do? I: My mum is a business woman, she sells African fabrics and traditional bridal attires V.O: Yes do you have any proof, I want to see evidence. I was confused and he mentioned "or bank statement" I: (Killer smile)Yes, with all pleasure. Just a moment please. So I got the bank statement V.O(while looking at the statement) Doesn't your mum have other children to sponsor in school? I: (I never expected that question, so my English technically failed me, so I looked at him and answered) All of us have finished school, it remainder two of us. I was so embarrassed about my grammatical blunder but I was glad he understood the point, we were all done with school except two of my siblings. V.O: Ok, I will be approving your Visa. He hands me the white paper. Talked about pick up in three working days, gave me back my SOA and I-20, asked me to keep it carefully and I would need the latter at the port of entry... Told me to have a wonderful day I: (Killer smile) Thank you and have a wonderful rest of the day too. Yup, I bounced out of the building THE END |

Congratulations Can I send a dm? nelem: Visa Interview
Me: Good morning VO: good morning VO: why are you going to the US? Me: I am going for my master’s degree in computer science & quantitative method at Austin Peay State University (APSU) Clarksville, Tennessee VO: how did you hear about this course? Me: I did an extensive search online using msinus, usnews offering computer science and I also streamlined my search with reference to universities offering predictive analytics & also from time to time I attend some SAP-organized webinars where the speakers talk about how companies are maximizing the use of predictive analytics to enhance their business objectives. VO: what other schools did you apply? Me: I named the remaining 4 universities and I got admitted to all. (Wright State Uni, Georgia Southern Uni, Uni of New Haven, Middle Tennessee State Uni) VO: why did you choose APSU? Me: I chose APSU because it offers extensive courses that synchronize field studies in computer science with research analysis which will give me the needed technical expertise to be able to effectively implement the SAP predictive analytics tool and I also got a graduate assistantship that gave me a full tuition and some stipends. VO: who is sponsoring you? Me: my uncle VO: pass his account statement. She flips through page by page. VO: I will be approving your visa. Gives me a white paper showing pickup modalities…
Thanks everyone |
