Good morning chief, can I send a dm please?
fairheart:
Yes, there is recommendations: use google to look for schools in the US. You'll have hundred of them to choose from. That is the first thing first!

It will come back to hunt us.

Any funding or scholarship?
LordSir1:
Hello..my visa was approved some days back, I really learnt a lot from this forum and hopefully someone can learn from this too. Overall the interview was good, the VO was really nice. I thought the interview was going to be in an enclosed space though lol

Visa Approved

VO: you're going to the US, tell me about this?
Me: I'm going to the US for a Master's in Engineering with a focua in industrial automation and control at Texas Tech University.

VO:what will this course do for you?
ME: Upon graduation and completion of my Masters program, I will be a skilled and highly proficient Control Engineer applying advanced automation processes in production system. This is a skill that is in high demand in Nigeria especially in the manufacturing and production industry, from the oil and gas sector down to the production of consumer goods. I plan on returning back to Nigeria to apply this skill and take advantage of this opportunity.

VO: how many schools did you apply to?
Me: I applied to four schs..mentioned them.

VO: how many admitted you?
Me: I got into 3.. Mentioned them

VO: why Texas tech?
Me: Apart from the Whitacre (I'm not sure I pronounced this right) college of engineering at Texas tech being highly prestigious and well respected, I am keen on joining an ongoing research in pulsed power and control led by Dr Dickens, this is a great and direct step up from my undergraduate thesis were I also worked using pulse width modulation. I also received a partial scholarship at tech.

VO: when did you finish sch and what have you been doing?
Me: I graduated with a BSc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Nov 2017 and was mobilized for national service in January 2018. I served as a physics and ICT teacher in a federal government sch and I completed my service in Jan 2018. During this period, I took several refresher and graduate preparatory classes as part of my preparation for graduate sch.

VO: who is sponsoring you?
Me: my father

VO: **asked for his SOA

VO: what does he do?

VO: have you been to any other country?
Me: yes, I had bachelor's degree in Ghana

VO: I'll be approving your visa............

I stuttered a bit and I won't say my delivery was exactly the best but that was it. God did it. Again thank you.

PS: if you're also heading to Texas tech or already there, send me a pm if you don't mind.

Over the last 24hours you’ve made the most noise about funding and what not and somewhat insinuating it was a ticket to a visa, I’d wanted to caution you but I didn’t want to have any back and forth, it’s good you realize how damaging such statements can be when not kept to yourself,

Everybody needs to keep it clean, and professional
Imagine you are a V.O yourself and use that to checkmate what you would term acceptable and unacceptable. So that the honest ones who feel that getting a visa is a privilege will not continually be affected by the actions of a few
segunbolawole:
Once again... Thanks a lot to everyone here and to everyone that consoled my destiny grin... That moment when u take to sarcasm and blaspheming to avert heart break and depression cheesy grin but with the way you all here responded, when I blow I go throw party for everyone on this forum to be present maybe December. I swear I love you all here.

And please remember me in ur prayers for forgiveness. I blasphamed undecided. I agree I was lazy to take the GRE which would have increased my chances.

Finally can we reduce the noise about funding so VOs won't attack it. Maybe create another group cause truth is, they are reading this page. They didn't ask anyone for SOA meaning they have advanced their checks.

Make unah think am o. Nobody before me in the embassy was asked for SOA, I don't know after me.

Embassy's Nose in everywhere

What private groups?
You think it’s that easy to get away from being monitored/ watched?
The more private you try to get, the easier for them to infiltrate with a mole
Y’all just need to keep it clean and honest and stop posting anything out of your ass on the internet.
Drekales:
I don't know how many people can see this message.. But for the good of everyone, I'll advice sensitive issues should be discussed in private groups.

The embassy is making decision based on what's discussed here.

I don’t think he can be helped by an immigration lawyer
She was on F1 so it’s technically not possible, like someone suggested, best bet would be to pay the bills out of pocket (every single charge till the last cent) and reapply after that and hope for the best, and explain her ignorance on the issue.
fairheart:
Don't mind him; that was his opinion. First, contact your school and explain the case as it is.
You may need an immigration lawyer advice on best step to take. You need expert advice and you should be very careful as to which direction you take in resolving this, so that you'll not complicate your case.

naijatisumi:
Sincerely, I wanted to make payment but she told me the school informed her the insurance will cover for it and she paid monthly insurance fee and all from her account as such i just felt it is not so necessary since she apply and same was approved
honestly, she should have paid her own personal bills and let insurance take care of the child
I don’t know the way forward from here because this Medicaid you speak of, I’m not sure your wife is qualified for it as it’s paid for with taxpayer dollars and your wife isn’t a citizen

It’s probably an honest mistake, because they will all throw it in your face to have insurance cover it (government dollars)

Medicaid is for poor Americans and it’s easy straightforward payment for the hospital so they will always throw it in your face like hey we have a lot of unnecessary bills we know you won’t be able to afford but government will pay for it
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Wretch32: 4:40pm On Jun 26, 2019
I don’t know how this things work but it’s frowned upon when you go give birth in the USA and insurance covers the mothers bills
It’s very wrong and frowned upon. It would seem that the visa was somewhat abused. Why didn’t you pay your bills?
naijatisumi:
I'm so down right now...House please forgive my typo error

Dear All,

Please i need sincere clarification and response

Two years (2017) ago my wife travel to the STATE with an F1 visa, but when she got there she realized she was 2 month pregnant tho she was menstruating and all. Anyway she got registered in the school and became the best in her department even with the pregnancy and all school fees payment was duly paid.

In between she registered for Insurance and medicare as a student through the school to deliver our baby, doing this period she has to chill out a semester so as to have the baby as such she has a semester left but her VISA will expired next week.

Anyway i advise her to come back to Nigeria so as to renew her VISA then go back to finish the last semester and make the family proud. She schedule her interview and eventually got the white paper after enough drilling and all but the VO requested for the medical invoice which she replied she's not with the invoice. She was then told to mail it over to there office at ISOLO.

Since there was no payment made as the insurance covered for the payment we sent a mail to the hospital from Nigeria and they provided the medical invoice but stated it was all covered by ALAMEDA medical and we submitted same at DHL, to my surprise today when i went to DHL for the passport i saw a blue paper. sincerely i almost POO on my body, i read through and realised she has been denied. Sincerely i need advise as am blank right now. I advise her to come over to renew her VISA in Nigeria while she insist i should allow her finish her MSC programme before. Sincerely i'm so sad and sick right now.

Please house what can be done, we got another detailed invoice from the hospital today with the amount the insurance company paid for the medicare. I dont know if another VISA fee should be paid and she should go for another interview or is there a way we can go pay the medical fee and then reschedule another interview as i just want her to finish her MSC and come back home. Please note we paid all school fees totaling over 35000$

I'm so sad and down right now...I just need advise please house

How do you know the reason he was denied tho? Are you assuming? Cos the vo’s don’t give specific reasons for denials tho
Lashbeat:
Hi, so I have a question

*** so the thing Is I'm married to an American and yet to file my green card petition, my brother in Nigeria booked an appointment with the US embassy so he can get his F1 Visa but unfortunately he was denied because I took time off school. Now my main question is this- Is there anything I, my wife or my brother can do so he can get the Visa and resume school this fall?

Please I'll definitely be reading responses and hope I find one that help this case alot. Thanks✌

Ignore him/her probably a troll or a spy
Either ways should be ignored
How can you expect strangers online to give you a study plan for a course you choose yourself
dreambound:
We can't answer questions about YOU grin..we don't know why you chose it grin

If you don't know how to find those reasons then think about your interests and goals (relating to that course and Nigeria), attach them to the course and its benefits..and put all that in one convincing (and concise) statement grin grin grin

Let’s just blame it on ignorance, she may not have seen or intended it that way
She has been rebuked and has taken correction
LagosismyHome:
this post is wrong though .......... an opportunity indicates your trying ways to trick the system but it doesnt even work like that . As for the last body , when i see statement like that i just give up on my people . if you dont see something majorly wrong with that concept then o well

Lol, I too like this guy
Says it as it is.
TWoods:
The consulate does not allow those who have been recently denied a visa immediately set up another appointment for a reason... there are others behind you who have not been granted their first interview.

Using a different email address to set up another account so you can deceitfully circumvent this system is cheating... I understand as a Nigerian that is a foreign concept to you.

If your husband won’t let you achieve your goals simply because he married you then that’s slavery, not a marriage.

Please share your transcripts, let The experienced ones constructively critique it
Akin4sh:
Wow...10 days.. I just did mine today expecting update so I can schedule a new date. Can I open another profile with a new email to get a new interview date?
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Wretch32: 6:35pm On Jun 21, 2019
It doesn’t pick available dates via your email tho, remember you have to answer the question “have you recently been denied/applied for an American visa” the answer to that decides dates to pick or not
Akin4sh:
I don’t understand lie and cheat how? There is no lie there. I am using my other email and all my details will still be the same. Just figured it’s an opportunity I have before my sponsor will change is mind. And I plan to finish my master before getting married or else my husband will not Alli me. So it’s sensible

It almost feels like taking a polygraph test
Ask you mundane questions at the beginning, ask the main questions after that (the polygraph). Then ask you mundane questions at the end to confirm you’re not trying to cheat the polygraph

Lol

I guess they just ask those extra questions so that applicants can't easily know what went wrong.

Guys I’m thinking of using an emergency appointment date to move my interview date forward
Advisable? As it seems I can use it just once as long as I’ve not been previously denied
