PhonesRe: How BIS Works On Blackberry Devices(non BB Take Note) ,,,,....... by wunmi2odun(m): 12:22pm On Jul 24, 2014
francis247: This is exactly what I've been saying. Instead of crying wolf to the network providers about the heavy charges on data compared to blackberry users by Android users, the complaints should be channelled to Google, the owner of the Android OS to make available Android servers to carry half the load just like BB has done. No doubt it will be difficult to achieve seeing that the OS maker is different from the phone maker unlike Blackberry, not to mention the fact that even Apple which has the same phone/OS owner and is much more expensive than Android does not have such on ground yet.
I can assure you that Google would not even listen to you if you lunch such complain to them. most Americans use android devices and they don't complain of data because they get enough data bundles at cheaper and affordable rate from their isp. So now tell me, if the Americans do not lunch a complain to Google, do you think Google would ever want to listen to we Nigerians? from my own point of view, I think we android users should all come together and raise a complain to our dear NCC to talk to our stingy network providers in Nigeria to be fair with us and give us a more affordable data bundles. I think I have said enough.

Mustack: 11k per secinds as Glo network slash
tariff rate for customer.
Glo prepaid subscribers can now make plenty of
more calls and pay less as the Nigerian National

pay less with an unbeatable and unlimited access
to connect with their loved ones..
“This is the cutting edge freedom every subscriber
wants to make calls to all their friends, families
and associates without timeless number of calls
to friends and families at a specially discounted
rate”, said Mr. Yomi Ogunbamowo,
Globacom’s Head of…. who launched the product
on behalf of the telecoms network. Prior till now,
Friends and Family packs across various networks
are limited to a few people.
He said Glo Ringa would enable Glo prepaid
customers to significantly reduce their expenditure
on phone calls. According to Mr.Ogunbamowo,
this product is an effective way of rewarding the
loyalty of Globacom’s teeming subscribers
because it
practically puts revenue back in their pockets for
every call they make to other Glo subscribers.
His words, “ With the increasing expenses
incurred by individuals in their daily lives, it has
become imperative to assist them to cope with
life in our own way. This is why we have decided
to give our esteemed subscribers excellent rates
by significantly reducing the cost of calls they
make to millions of other subscribers within the
Glo network. For a fee of N250 weekly,
subscribers get to pay a super low rate of 11k per
second on all Glo-to-Glo calls from the very first
second and there is no limit on how many calls
they can make”.
He urged subscribers who are not yet on the
Globacom network to join the people friendly
network to enjoy the unprecedented benefits and
innovative value added services that guarantee
premium satisfaction.
He added that with Glo Ringa , “calling is made
pretty easy and everyone on the network is now
friends and family”. Mr. Ogunbamowo urged
Gloprepaid subscribers to encourage their clients,
friends and family members to interact on the
Globacom network to enjoy the benefits of calling
for a longer period at reduced costs.
He reassured Nigerians of the unimpeachable
resolve of Globacom, a proudly Nigerian company,
to offer qualitative services to the people in the
most cost effective manner.
He observed that Globacom had since inception
been offering the best value at the most
competitive rates to its subscribers and would
continue to do this and urged interested
subscribers to dial *170*40# to enjoy the massive
benefits of Glo Ringa.
